Great game, but having trouble with the app and don’t know what to do.
I would recommend the game to anyone who likes a good mystery with humour. However currently I am having trouble with the games functionality on the Second case. normally in this franchise, a piece of evidence, it normally gets added to your court record. However in my case a broken mirror which you need to complete the game, isn’t adding to the court record. Therefore I cannot continue the game which is really sad. I’ve contacted Capcom to see if they can do anything. hopefully I will get back to playing soon. also I hope no one else has the same boat

Waste of 99 cents
Not advertised as a paid demo, The game gives you .5 cases for your money essentially, with each additional case costing 4.99. It would have been more honest to charge the sticker price such as the one on steam. I’ll just stick to playing all of the games fully for free on my 3DS.

game is without a doubt the best one, DD and SOJ have a few issues but the worst issue in this one is idiots mad that you have to unlock the full game just like the other games. the game is good, it sometimes runs smoother than DD and SOJ and the game’s definitely worth it

Weak port
Biggest complaint is text is too slow and you can’t skip it.
I’ve tried to play the second case twice now. When I get up to a certain point, the game crashes and I can’t re-open the app unless I delete all my data… forcing me to blow 45 minutes due to issue #1

Decent game
This is better than Justice For All but by a little bit. The first, Second Cases were one of the best in the game, the finale was decent, the third case was better than Turnabout Bigtop.

Great game, great port
Apollo Justice gets a lot of flack from AA fans but honestly I love it. It’s got one bad case and the other 4 are absolutely amazing in my eyes. And this port only enhances things, with the best HD art style the series has ever had. Definitely worth purchasing all episodes.

I’ve Purchased the Game but Can’t Play Next Episodes
EDIT: After an update, the game works as intended and the money I’ve spent on unlocking all of the cases works properly. Thanks for the fixes!
OLD REVIEW: I’m so excited for the mobile ports of the AA series! It plays super smoothly and it’s great to have the auto save feature in case you need to put your phone away. However, I’ve purchased the other episodes and the app doesn’t recognize that I’ve done so. Thus, I’m unable to play past the first half of case one. Which is frustrating considering that I’ve spent money that went apparently nowhere. Hopefully that can be fixed soon!

Terrible support.
I purchased the full game, which did not unlock the additional episodes - restore purchases didn’t fix the issue, and attempting to repurchase resulted in a “transaction failed” message.
I contacted the developers and followed their troubleshooting, only to be told that it’s not comparable with my phone (iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 15.6.1) because while their website lists 15 “or later” as compatible software, and the iPhone 11 as comparable hardware, it doesn’t list that specific version number.

A great port that still holds up in 2022
I very recently have been playing this series again after only playing the original Phoenix Wright game in 2020. After finally playing through the original trilogy games on the Switch, I went to go see if the rest of the games were available for me to purchase without spending an arm and a leg, and I was very delighted to find that I was able to! The game played very well for me, and I didn’t experience any bugs whatsoever either! (I have an iPhone 11 if that helps at all) I 100% recommend this game to anybody that enjoyed the original trilogy of the game, as well as for those that are looking to get into the series without playing the first three games! I’m looking forward to purchasing Dual Destinies when I get the chance to next, and after that Spirit of Justice! :)

Fun and worked perfectly!
I don’t usually write reviews (I’m lazy that way) but I remember being hesitant to purchase these ports because of the negative reviews, so here’s my experience: My game worked just fine! I had one minor glitch, where the music would stutter for a moment, but this was rare and happened maybe 3 or 4 times in the entire game. Otherwise, everything was great, the HD sprites look fantastic, and I really enjoyed this game and its story. 👍
If it matters, I played this on a 7th generation iPad (10.5), fully updated to 14.7.

Great game, when it works
I love the Ace Attorney series but the game seems to crash constantly on my phone. I was able to play on my old SE V1 but not on my new iPhone! Just weird.

Can’t stop thinking about this game
Ok so, I have much to say about this game, so I’ll split it into two parts.
Part 1: The Game Itself
The first trial was so cool because they left many things unanswered, similar to Trials and Tribulations. The second and third trials were somewhat lackluster in my opinion, but the fourth more than made up for it. For anyone who has played the Ace Attorney Trilogy, you will enjoy this game a lot. It takes the formula we know and love and then twists it a little to make a game with an entirely different feel. The direction they took the characters in was really cool (though I do wish there were more than 4 returning characters with two of them cameos, but I suppose it’s believable because of the time skip). Phoenix’s character especially was super cool to see. Viewing him from the outside, in contrast to the Trilogy where you play as him, shows him in a completely different, darker light. While I do think this game was a bit too easy to solve, and some of the mysteries were obvious, the way the first and last episode complement each other and how the whole game is one continuous story is what brings this to be so great in my eyes.
Part 2: The Port
So, reading other reviews, it looks like people were struggling with glitches or something like that. I never experienced any major issues. In fact, the game ran better than I expected. The only mild annoyance I had was that the audio cut out a few times, which could only be remedied by closing and reopening the app, but thanks to auto-save that wasn’t that big of a deal. I wish they would keep these updated to fix glitches and stuff but oh well, for what it is, it’s a very solid port.

I’ve only played one time and now the game won’t load with or without wifi or data
This is a port of a DS game and honestly the gameplay fits perfectly on mobile. For 16 dollars total between the 4 episodes you’ll easily get your money worth. Total playtime for me was about 20-25 hours and it’s well worth it.
PS you can play this one without playing the other Ace Attorney games as this one has very little to almost nothing to do with the original 3.

Amazing game for real
I really wish there were more than 4 episodes but oh well, it was an enjoyable ass game filled with some emotional stuff along the way. The game itself worked fine for me, and I didn’t encounter any glitches or really anything unusual as I just bought this game in 2020. Would give 5 stars if not for major issue
So I’m deployed overseas and there’s times I will not have access to internet. When those times come I can for every other PW game continue to enjoy what I purchased. This is the only one that does not allow me to play offline for content I’ve paid for. If it wasn’t for that I’d give it 5 stars do to upgraded graphics, surprisingly friendly controls and the option to speed through all dialogue. But if you won’t give me an option to play offline then kiss my rear end.

No issues whatsoever during my play-through of the game. A lot less visual and text bugs from the HD trilogy, in fact, I saw none at all. The port works fine and I am happy with my purchase.

Feeling Robbed
So I’ll start off by saying I enjoy the game. However this morning when I went to play it, I noticed that the app would not open, no matter how many times I restarted the app. I restarted my phone and the problem persisted. The only solution I had left was uninstalling and reinstalling the app. After reinstalling, while the app would load, I found that it had revoked my ability to play the rest of the game, asking me to repurchase all the episodes. I contacted apple support for a refund since i made the purchase so recently. At first I thought that perhaps the app got corrupted last night while i was playing it and this was just a fluke. However on attempting to open Ace Attorney Investigations, which I haven’t opened in a long time, I encountered the same problem, which tells me that either something happened to my phone to prevent me from playing these games, or it was intentional. These are great games but you are better off buying it on other platforms.

That aside the game was writhe with twists and turns, and the sense of end game kept building and building and it felt so good to finally reach the end
Doesn’t retain purchases when you go offline, but that’s easily remedied by hitting “restore purchases”

HELP
I connect the app to a Bluetooth speaker ONCE and now the only way I get sound is through Bluetooth. I have reset ALL Bluetooth settings and removed and reinstalled the app entirely but still the problem endures.

A Great Game, That When Not Fully Purchased, Isn’t Playable Offline Past Part 1 of The First Case
I’ve played the original and was floored by the experience, so when I heard an HD iOS port was out, I couldn’t wait to play it with refined sprites and assets. Since I didn’t have enough funds, I was only able to purchase two of the four available cases. When connected to the internet, I had no problem playing the cases I owned, but while I was offline, despite having already been paid for, I was unable to access them as a text reading ‘Purchase Content’ restricted my entry. I hope I’m not asking for too much, but please fix this Capcom.

Best Ace Attorney Game Ported to Mobile

I love this game series but the app crashes very frequently and cannot progress further some episodes due to crashes in the same point of investigation. I never had a problem with the Trilogy or Dual Destinies apps. It also seems that the dialogue proceeds unusually slow during some portions, which can be amended with the text skip option. I hope they will release an update that fixes the crashes...

Great port of the original
I went ahead and purchased the full game despite the reviews warning of glitches and freezing. I only encountered freezing in a certain part of the third case, which seemed to resolve itself after I closed out of some other open apps and let my phone cool down a little (game tends to make my phone run warm if played for a long time). I played on an iPhone SE... so if you have that or something better the game should run fine for you.
The game is even better than I remember. The graphics are sharp and clean. The user interface has been optimized for mobile devices (especially easy to read on my small phone). Definitely worth the price and one of my favorite Ace Attorney games!

The game is broken
Like other people, my game freezes and then crashes at the footprinting sequence in Episode 2. I'm very displeased about this, as I would not have bought the whole game had I realized there would be intermittent but game-breaking problems later.

Fantastic HD assets
Love how they spent the time to put the highest resolution graphics for this edition. They could've been lazy and used the old low res graphics, but this is as good as it gets. I loved playing the series on the DS and I didn't hesitate to purchase the episode pack.

Need network to play expansion
I love the Ace Attorney games including this one. I love to come to this game when I'm in a place with no wifi, no reception, or in an airplane. BUT NOT THIS GAME! I still need a network connection to just play my purchased expansions.
This what happens w/o network with expansion games. I tried to continue my game where I left off. I hit load save point and "Checking network, you haven't purchased the game! S.O.L." It's very annoying you can't play in a wifi-less zone like the previous games.
I love the game, I hate the app.

Not bad!
A very unique addition to the Ace Attorney series. Most of the gameplay from the other games is still the same, but the perceive mechanic adds a cool new way to see past lies. The comedy and drama are at their prime, but it does get a bit too twisty at the end. Some of the logic seems very off, but by now, it looks like that's an Ace Attorney norm. The game ran great on the iPad mini 2. No frame rate issues or crashes.
