DONT DOWNLOAD
I just got robbed, three games in a row where the “ads cannot load” and now I’ve lost out on 100,000s of coins as well as upgrade and at least 15 stamina because I can’t continue at all no matter what I try. They try to make it seem like they love their customers but they clearly don’t and now I’m at a net loss and don’t even know when to try again because I don’t want to risk losing stamina. DO BETTER DEV TEAM!

Greedy Developers
I would have love this game if it the developers weren’t so greedy, you need to watch a million ads to actually progress and even if you don’t click watch ad for each little reward, they still put a bunch of ads in your face! Completely ruined the game, this game had so much potential.

Forces ads on you
I like the game and I NEVER spend money on it. Whenever I don’t win a level I click to give up but they still FORCE ME TO WATCH AND AD! I don’t like being forced to watch them and they hid the button to get off! The game is good but I GET RID OF THE FORCED ADS! I rather restart the level then watch them and I will delete the game if this doesn’t change!

Impossible to Advance Levels
It’s become almost impossible to beat any levels. The game shows a recommended power tier for each level, but you have to have almost twice as much power to even have a chance at maybe beating the level. But you can’t increase your power level without winning more levells or paying significant sums of real cash for powerups. The game has turned into a total scam.

No way to manage a subscription
There’s no way to cancel a monthly subscription. It continues to charge via Apple but not showing up in the subscriptions page, nor is there an indication in game that the subscription will be billed again, but it continues to renew.

Bait and switch
Most recent event sold an item that guaranteed the % damage affix for Satellite storm which would stabilize many loadouts for progressing, which was the main driving factor as to why I made purchases in the first place. Days after its release, it gets changed, gutting nearly 75-80%+ damage out of builds. Refund being refused despite the bait and switch for something that got changed before the event even ended. I had actually enjoyed this game up until this fiasco. Do not trust this company nor should you ever pay a single cent to them

Bad business practices
As much of the other reviews have stated, the devs pushed an in-game item that people used their hard earned money to max out. Afterwards, they went ahead and nerfed this item causing it to become obsolete. Very shady and outright disrespectful behavior to a loyal fanbase.

I love the ad, but…
I play all the way through the ads every time they pop up and so I decided to download the game and give it a shot. I have tried level 1 four times now and cannot get past it. There is no reason for the first level of the entire game to be so difficult. I am deleting it now and I wish that I could pass that level and continue to see how fun the game could be.

Changed weapons after event
As title says… they completely gutted the functionality of certain weapons for “balance” reasons and at the lower levels you may not feel this but higher levels are now fundamentally impossible because % damage no longer works as % damage. Theyve made alot of terrible choices as of late so continuing to play is just fundamentally becoming more painful.

Massive difficulty spike ON LEVEL 2
Exactly what the title says. I breezed through level one and enjoyed it, yet on level 2 they treated me like I was on like level 100or something they way they REALLY wanted me to watch ads to revive. Rookie mistake, everyone knows you should make your player feel cracked at the game before you rig it.
Such a shame, I liked the playable ad. But looking at the rest of these reviews, this company is sketchy to boot.😬 I’m out! Good luck getting new players if you can’t even beat level two after 5 tries!

Highly deceptive money grab
I found this game to be highly deceptive. Probabilities are not as portrayed. I have studied statistics, and payouts appear to be rigged, at least for me. I have also put in +$75, to still only have the original 4 red and orange items. To win the red monkey, I believe it would cost me over $300 to obtain.
Game updates come, and the game is harder with the only way to continue winning is to pay actual money.
I personally fully regret putting any money into this as the illusion I might get something of value in the game.
I hope my experience can prevent you from the same experience.

Overly difficult
The very first level of this game should not take 15+ attempts or watching several ads to let you pass it. Unless I’m missing something, there is no way your character can do enough damage to the virus things even with additional weapons to clear them in time before you lose the level. And then, if I am missing something, then it’s on the game for not giving any sort of tutorial to show you how to play effectively. I found this game off of an ad, but the weapons actually did sufficient damage in the ad, unlike the real game. Has potentially fun gameplay, but will not waste my time past the first couple levels

Recent Nerf Made My Investment Feel Wasted
The latest percentage damage nerf is way too much. I invested heavily in Monkey King because of its original mechanics, and now the difference in damage is massive. I understand balancing the new Ladder Competition, but why nerf the weapon across the entire game? Competitive modes could have separate balancing instead. Please reconsider this change. Players shouldn’t feel like their time, resources, and money were wasted after building a weapon.

Well that ended poorly.
I have been a long term player and they literally nerfed about a third of the top tier weapons to oblivion. I am basically stuck where I am. They won’t be getting any more money from a lot of players since you are basically stuck. I wish I could get the money back I spent on this rug pull.

Don’t Sell It, Then Nerf It
I used to love this game and would play it for several hours a day. Then the devs started going down the money-hungry route.
The last straw was when they started nerfing weapons you literally just bought from an event before the event had even ended.
Imagine buying a flamethrower because it can roast a pig in 10 seconds. Then, a few days later, the manufacturer remotely updates it so it can only light birthday candles.
You complain, so they “compensate” you by giving you a shoulder strap for your flamethrower.
Thanks, but I bought a flamethrower. Where’s my flamethrower?
Then they start selling other flamethrowers that does same thing what your old flamethrower used to do before getting nerfed.

Do not spend money
Do NOT spend your money on this game. Several occasions I have unfortunately and embarrassingly made that mistake. They will have limited events where the only way to unlock the weapon/fragment/skin is by spending money, and on several occasions they have immediately nerfed those exact weapons shortly after the event ends. Satellite storm, monkey king, white angel, all had massive upgrade events and had the rug yanked out from underneath them after the events ended. I tried to get my money refunded but the App Store rejected the appeal. Only play this game if you like watching ads and spending money to advance, and even once you’ve spent money, there’s a good chance the things you spent money on become unusable and worthless when they inevitably get nerfed.

Recent update killed the game
I've been playing this game for more than a year. Up until two days ago I was very happy with everything about this game. Then they made some updates to add "balance." This resulted in reducing the effectiveness of all weapons across the board regardless of player development or advancement.
The game was fun when it was playable. It makes no sense to release content that improves play and then nerf it completely in the same week. For example, one of the best weapons in the game had that distinction because it did damage of some percent of a segment's health. Now it's capped at less than a tenth of that damage even when buffed by affixes. That max didn't even change after I added more than 20 levels to the weapon!!
I'm posting this review in hopes that the devs realize what their changes have done to alienate long-time players. Maybe they'll reverse their update.

I’ve been playing this game for over a year and it was my favorite game up until this week when they nerfed the only weapon in the game that can somewhat help you clear the levels I want my 40$ back!!!!!! Time to Quit
After an event released a new weapon with significant growth potential that ended up being a top damage dealer, many players invested significant in-game resources and/or real money into getting this weapon because it was so good. More than a week later, the developers somehow decided that that weapon was TOO good and reduced its effectiveness significantly, as well as the effectiveness of other much older weapons. This is a scummy tactic that seemingly occurred for no real reason, devaluing in-game resources players invested in in good faith because they never anticipated that what was given would be taken away. I regret spending a little on this game, and will be deleting it.

I don’t normally write reviews, but the recent developments and update to the game make it unplayable. For example, I’ve made quite a few in-game purchases because I enjoyed the game from the start. However, in the recent update, the developers decided to cap damage on a few key items, absolutely destroying the intent of the upgradable perks in game. All in-game purchases have been essentially nullified by the developers greed. I highly recommend staying away from this game as the only way to make serious progression is through in-game purchases. Unfortunately I’m out the membership card, but take my word for it, steer clear of this game and definitely don’t make in-game purchases.

It’s like the ads…
… which was what got me in the door. It was refreshing to see someone not hawk fake gameplay and scandalous slop to sell me on their reskinned match-3 nothingburger, but the compulsory ads make this game nearly unplayable without one of the (paid) passes. The recent shenanigans involving a rare item purchase (satellite storm damage cap) and then rugpulling it via a nerf before the magic school event is even done feels especially egregious. Fortunately, there are free ways to advance and accrue in-game resources through daily play (coins, diamonds) but I feel nickel and dimed regardless. I really want to like it and push to the final current stages, but as it goes on, it’s another RNG machine as the levels advance where the right affixes win you the match, if they show, or you hit a wall (even after watching even more ads to revive). After the nerf and the potential to control a little of that randomness, my goodwill has been burned through.
I don’t see how I can complete the later stages in this state, and I’m not going to buy a solution from what felt like was intentionally broken. There are less abusive gaming models out there I can give my energy and time to, and this ain’t it, chief.

Cell survivor bait and switch.
Spent hundreds of dollars on this game and played every day. The best weapons take a long time to build up and I’ve been buying things and working on it for 8 months. They then came out with weapon upgrades that I and a lot of people bought and nerfed the weapons within days of selling the upgrades. This isn’t the first time either but they just made about $300 of purchases and 8 months of effort worthless in one update. I am demanding some money back and probably will go to the bank if denied. Do NOT waste even one single dime on this games. You have to buy a $40 lifetime pass to really be even able to play unless you want to spend hours a day watching ads. It’s an absolute scam and money grab. Do not spend money on this game !

Good Game Ngl
I think this game is pretty cool. There’s so much to do that I never feel bored, but going into it all would be too lengthy. I have just one request: make there be a way to unlock pay-to-access stuff for free, like what you did with Scarlet Blade Girl (I forgot her name lol). If there was a way to get old weapons or new skins for free, I think that would incentivize the player base to work harder to unlock them. As part of the Pokemon Unite community (or what’s left of it), they have done that in the past, and that was one of the reasons I loved it. Please consider my request, and have a good day.
