Fun at First, but Poor Balance and Little Respect for Players
I’ve been playing this game for about six months, and I really enjoyed it at first. However, the longer I played, the more I realized how unbalanced the game is.
The game offers six different elements to play, but the balance between them is terrible. Physical is significantly stronger than the others, yet the developers have done little to address the imbalance.
The game has also continued to reduce free rewards and benefits over time. Even worse, some resources that players invested time and effort into obtaining have been abandoned or made useless without proper notice or compensation.
What frustrates me most is the lack of response to player feedback. Many players have complained about these issues, but they remain unresolved. It increasingly feels like the focus is on getting players to spend more money rather than improving the game and respecting the time and effort of the player community.
The game had a lot of potential and was enjoyable in the beginning, but the poor balance, shrinking free benefits, abandoned resources, and lack of meaningful response to player feedback have made the experience increasingly disappointing.

Money hungry
I’ve been playing this game for over a year and really enjoyed it, but this latest update completely changed how I feel about it. It feels like the developers went way too money-hungry.
Progress that used to take around a month as a free-to-play player now feels like it could take five months or more. So much of improving your team is essentially locked behind paywalls that F2P progression barely feels viable anymore.
I understand a game needs to make money, but there’s a difference between offering worthwhile purchases and making the game intentionally frustrating unless you spend. After supporting and playing for a year, this update has seriously lost my trust.

Events make me wanna rip my limbs off
The new events they add are infuriating, it’s quite literally impossible to complete the events they drop prime example being go squirrel go. Another thing is that EVERYTHING is only pay to win, every single event that isn’t impossible to complete costs money to do anything with. Even then they still ask like 20$ for like 10 rolls and you get the equivalent of dog piss.

Bad recent updates
I have played this game for almost an entire year, since nearly the beginning. Unfortunately you cannot go by previous reviews of this game which used to be good. They have done many recent updates that allowed ONLY paid players to get important items. For example the anniversary event required about $100 to get a single copy of the high quality items, which you need 5 of to max. Cannot suggest playing this game after recent changes.

Monkey Sword Spin
There is a minigame with the same title as this review. It legit makes me feel like the devs DO NOT RESPECT MY TIME. Why is there any chance that upgrading a pawn will fail?! Its literally just to waste my time (not in a fun way). The rest of the game is a hoot though.

False Advertising
Wildly different game than advertised. Just another junk gear game. And before the developer responds with “the ads represent only part of the gameplay”, ads that present less than 10% of the gameplay which is totally different than the main game, are still false advertising.

The thing is…
I like most of what this game offers, but the “fun” mini game - the tower defense thing - is such a frustrating experience that it drives me away from wanting anything to do with the actual good parts of this game. Sometimes the bad is so bad that it causes you to overlook the good. If you’re not going to make the “fun” mini game as fun as the rest of the game then just remove it.

The best gear game.
After seeing many ads for this game, I gave it a try. I ended up loving the gameplay loop and overall cartoonish art style. Figuring out how to go for broke with power is very enjoyable. I’m looking forward to the game’s future. Going ad-free is completely worth it for me. However, one thing I don’t like is how rigged the game feels at times. Lucky spins should not keep rolling the same hero. Sometimes the battle is more against bad draws moreso than the monsters you fight, and that definitely needs improvement.

TLDR: Great potential, PVP is garbage, P2W rampant
This game is amazing in the solo pve gameplay, but then I go into PvP and it’s terrible. I get paired with players who destroy me, or who I destroy. Fix the match making algorithm please. And paying more unfortunately means that some players will always dominate which always sucks. Pay to win is rampant in this game also. Big spender equals winning.

I hate this game now. It was good until guilds dropped and so I made one with a name that was special to only me and lost it because I was inactive for two days and nowhere did it say that you couldn’t be in active for two days without guild ownership moving so congrats to whoever has my guild now I’ll be uninstalling this game now

Good. But I wish it was harder
Interesting puzzle concept. But waiting until 2-4 to get the negative gears is just way too long in my opinion. There also isn’t much of a consequence to just ignoring them and filling the entire board. The game also bombards you with rewards in a million different places. Which is fine in theory, but when you have to collect from 10 different areas every time you open the app, it gets seriously tedious.

Been playing for a while but only issue ive had
Ive have been playing the game for a few a few months now . Only complaint i have the regular network errors . I thought it was my phone, i uninstalled and reinstalled , turned my phone off and on , contacted service provider everything good on that end . This is the only game i have i issue and I've had this phone for 6 months. I will change my review as soon as its not a every two week issue .

wow.. just WOW!
This game has a variety of things to do, zero ads, and some AMAZING music!! The only thing that is weird/doesn't make sense is that it's rated 17+. The game has zero sexual actions, no "bullying," and only has partial "rudeness." Besides from that, this game is amazing (i didn't use AI to write this)!

This game is extremely well made!
To start my favorite part is that there are a lot of ways to get extra rewards based on your rank against other players. The way upgrading units and amazingly also receiving units works, makes it very hard to pay to win. I stay in the top 1-25 on the rankings everyday spending no money and about an hour or two playing everyday. I do watch most of the ads available to support the developers/company that make the game.
Few games like this one actually make you use almost every unit and change your build every day. It’s nice to see that even the top players on the server can’t just max out one unit and dominate. That being said if you need a little boost you can focus on upgrading one unit or type for a day.
If I could add anything to the game it would be pvp. The way this game is setup PvP could even be against recordings of other players games instead of live. Apologies if there is PvP unlocked later in the game that I haven’t made it too. It would also be nice if the core system was simpler. I find myself not very interested in crunching the numbers on what I can get to the next rarity. I feel lower requirements for promoting cores and receiving less cores overall would make it a lot less daunting. Just a dream but if there could also be more added to the damage description of units like what abilities contributed what damage that’d be cool.

An amazing defense game
I am honestly blown away how great this game is. There are NO forced ads which is a huge plus nowadays. The energy system is very generous and you can do everything with the amount of energy you are given. The gacha is very fair (I’ve pulled a lot of the mythics in my first week of playing without spending money). The hero variety is nice and I am hoping the devs release more in the future.
I find myself spending a few hours a day playing off and on. My one suggestion is to redo some of the Elite challenges because the objectives are luck based; like the “synthesize X amount of heroes”. Most of the time I’m unable to complete this objective because it’s luck based.

New tier of heroes just wiped out all existing investments in any of their end game heroes
Today, the developers released an entirely new hero tier called Mythic that is higher tier than all the end game legendary heroes previously.
This effectively wiped out all previous investments used to level up Legendary heroes, as they share the same general upgrade materials.
The game has no way to sync hero levels like any other idle or collector games. This means, you can say goodbye to all your previous investments.
The new mythic heroes also can only be summoned with new summon stones. Time to pay up or never be able to summon a single one as there is no pity system and drop rate is atrocious.
This is a predatory move to wipe out all existing investments players have made towards their heroes.

Gear game perfected
I get bored with gear games really really quick but these characters are great the skills each has sets them apart from each other pretty dramatically and how they interact with each different character keeps the game challenging and fresh and while what games look like it can make a good during gameplay isn’t a big deal for me makes a good game even better and because this isn’t a good game but a great game it elevates the game playing experience to another level.
