Mass bomb this game with 1 star reviews until they fix this unplayable lag/fps drop. Either the team is nonexistent or just powered by a single AI enthusiast, as they butchered the app many patches ago. The lag and fps drop is game breaking, and they haven’t bothered to fix it nor address it. They even have some stupid AI response to every complaint here.

Riot has not been keeping the mobile (phone or iPad) updated. Persistent issues on the app makes the game unplayable and I don't think they care.

I enjoy playing double-up games with my husband, but lately this app is struggling on my M1 iPad. The frame rate is trash and I can’t adjust my tactician, booms, arena skins, portals, or emotes. I keep hoping a new update will fix it, but it’s been this way all summer. I even wiped my iPad and reinstalled everything fresh, still having this issue. I have to play the game on my Mac to make any changes, but I got a pop-up saying that Riot is ending support for MacOS, so I probably won’t be able to play at all at that point. Guess I’ll have to find another game to replace it soon.

I have an iPhone 17 pro max, and this game runs so horribly, and makes my phone incredibly hot. It wasn’t too bad before the recent patch, but after the patch it’s almost a slideshow. Idk why they can never get the mobile app right.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! A fantastic game on mobile and pc. You don't have to have already played League of Legends to understand the League universe. If anything it’s a great stepping stone to later play league. Thought I didn’t like auto attack games, boy is this one different. This is endlessly interesting, there’s a new set every 4 months (set 18 coming late july 2026), the core mechanics of the game are fun, and a comfortable variety of items, champs, traits, and more! Please try it out it’s so much fun!

I agree everything looks and feels better on PC, and I do play in PC. But it is very well optimized and designed for the phone that I now play it in every 30min gaps I have to get away from the PC. One of the only few games that I would play constantly in the phone.

Thrown into a game with absolutely no explanation of ANYTHING at all. No clue what’s going on. No idea how to upgrade my units, the game gives you about five seconds to digest extremely slow battles with a million things happening, no data whatsoever about what happened and if you click something wrong the time is up and more BS happens for the next half hour and then you get another five seconds to digest. Absolutely terrible experience, genuinely one of the worst introductory experiences I’ve ever had in gaming.

The game itself is very fun. With that said, I don’t understand how these same people have created such a low-iq mmr system. I started two sets ago and was a solid gold player. After learning and investing much time my mmr is so trash from my time as a beginner I will go 1st 1st 2nd , then lose all my lp gained by coming in 7th. Makes no sense. No reason to continue playing or waste more time here. They fix this and they’ll maybe get to those numbers claimed in Reddit by their employees. 30 million players, but yeah. I’m in lobbies with the same players multiple times a week. Ok.

The game is fun but unfortunately there’s an algorithm built into it that artificially forces you down in rank over and over to make it a slog. You can watch your champions freeze up and refuse to fight, the health of enemies stop going down, your champions will get full mana and just not cast for several seconds so the other team has a chance to win. It makes an otherwise fun game incredibly frustrating and eventually just sucks all the fun out of it. I’m sure they’ll pretend there isn’t an algorithm meant to artificially make ranked more difficult, but there is.
