I paid $7.99 for this game, but setting graphics to "High" completely breaks the visuals. Tree leaves and foliage vanish, turning trees into bare sticks. The only way to get leaves to show up is by dropping Quality to "Medium" and turning "Vegetation Cutout" ON. This is a clear asset/texture loading bug in the mobile engine on High settings. Disappointing optimization for a premium game. Please fix the vegetation renderer bug in the next update!

People who are giving bad reviews don't know that this is a simulation, not a racing game. Just because there is a learning curve doesn't mean it is bad. For me, this game is the most aesthetic game I have ever played while having fun learning how to win a rally race just like the real world. It can give you the best experience if you play with Gamesir X5 Lite which only costs twice this game' price.

Spectators

I understand that there are not spectators for performance reasons but could there please be an option to have them. Without the spectators the game overall feels lonely and I think it would only cause performance issues and not pose any technical problems with this being the mobile version of a PC game. Overall great game but still needs some improvements and optimization.

Solid Game

Amazing overall, have never played a racing game like this. Although I logged on one time and ALL of my data was erased. Days and days worth of data gone.. I hope that can be fixed. Awkward braking

For context, I use controller, not touch. This might not apply to touch controls. The game is fun overall. The stages feel nice and performance is good as well. The one thing that keeps this from being a 5 star rating is the awkward way the game handles braking. I can be going 60+ and if i get on the brakes at all, it IMMEDIATELY drops like 15-20 mph and continues to drop hard after that. It feels so jarring to the point that I try to not even touch the brakes. Every time I do, it feels like a massive force pulled me backwards and it’s either full stop or nothing. Physics otherwise feel reasonable for an arcade rally game.

The game itself is good, I've played it for a few hours on pc, but this is kind of a garbage port. the lack of accelerometer controls means you're forced to connect a controller because the touch controls SUUUUUCK, but if I was going use a controller anyways, I'd rather just play the steam version. Was hoping for a cool portable version of a great game, but this is completely mediocre. I'd only reccomended this if you don't have access to a pc, steamdeck or any other console.

Isn’t it fun when your car is placed 180* backwards at the starting line? Free 5s penalties are such good chuckles. Happens in Australia. Amazing game, but..

Would be waaaay better if the stuttering would be taken care of. Hitting a turn at high speed only to have the game stutter means you're off track no matter what. Please fix this! This game deserves love! It runs this way on both a iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 13 mini. Otherwise, the game runs great and looks amazing, even on the 13 mini, which I have run at 75% resolution. It's actually pretty aesthetic. This is an amazing game with a top tier soundtrack! I want more of this game always. It's my go to even if I don't feel like gaming. I have it on every system I can have it on. Playing this on the can gives it a huge advantage over other versions, especially with what I've been eating recently. Highly recommended even with the bugs.

Fun on iPad mini

I recommend playing 60 frames and low graphics. There’s minor pop in and stutter but its fine. Its fun to play with an xbox controller connected to the iPad. Good game.

Overall the game plays nicely on my device, graphics are simple and the focus is on the racing. I am however disappointed that there doesn't seem to be any controller support as racing games should all support that. Update: The controller issue seems to be with my phone and some app causing the conflict. An awful version of a great game

From the awful unforgiving controls to the game having massive amounts of pop in and visible stutter, also effecting your controls, I simply can’t recommend playing this version of the game. When it “worked” many many updates ago - this new version just seems to fall flat on its face. The graphics still look incredible a great sound track to throw your car around too and there is a massive selection of vehicles that all drive and handle uniquely. I can’t see any other positives from a player standpoint. Experienced on an iPhone 15 Pro Max - C

Great game from a great dev (seriously, funselektor is the tops). Sadly the droid port released unfinished, remains unfinished a year later. When asked about it in their discord, Noodlecake replies that they're a "small team"—i.e. management cheaped out on labor & now they can't fulfill their obligations. (Though I notice their "small team" has all the time in the world to stuff MTX into their freemium apps while leaving the paid ones to rot). Anyway, this port sucks. Buy on Steam or GOG.

This is one of my all time favorite games, and after having to sell my other means of gaming for medical bills I was really stoked to see this was available for iOS. Unfortunately I have found one of my favorite features is missing from this version. You cannot change songs. Do it for Takumi was great fun to be able to cue up the song when I wanted to go all out on a track. It doesn’t make sense to unlock songs in the free roam mode that you will never hear again :( Aside from that, the game does run very well on iPhone and M4 iPad surprisingly even better than on my steam deck. With specs maxed out game runs without any hiccups or stutters. Controller support is automatic which is nice, but doesn’t seem to register on some screens so I have to tap the screen. There is also a bug when entering career mode where even if you tap or press on continue it doesn’t work. You have to back out of the menu and start all over and then it works. An easy fix but inconvenient. It’s been 7 months since an update so I don’t have high hopes, but it would mean a lot if the devs could add some touch arrows in the menu to change audio tracks like in the other versions of this game.

Maybe im missing something, but this is totally unplayable on Mac. The buttons cannot be held they must bve spammed to work. For example, I'll hold the acceleration key but it only acelerates for a second before letting go. same with steering. And its almost like the game can only take one imput at a time. Maybe its better on touch screen, but its impossible for me to play on keyboard. Im really bummed about this. The game looks super fun and I was really exited to try it out. I just wish I could actually control my car. To the devs- please tell me if I'm doing something wrong, or if not, please fix the controls, I would love to play your game.

Good game awful port

The performance on iPhone 14 pro is abysmal. Stuttering and lag plague the game and will cause you to crash the car on the simplest of turns. Perfomance gets worse with each update. Even playing on the lowest possible graphics settings doesn’t fix stuttering or improve the perfomance at all. Play this on console if you actually want to be able to enjoy yourself, because the game itself would be solid if it ran okay.

Loving it

I loved Absolute Drift, and I loved Art of Rally on Xbox and PC. As a fan of the game and the sport, I am very happy to have this game to play on mobile. It’s definitely better with a mobile controller (I use a Backbone), and it runs great on my iPhone 15.

I played this game because it looked really good but it’s not. It’s very very buggy and really hard to drive the cars. Your forced to drifted on every turn which makes it really hard to drive. Overall it’s a great concept but it was very poorly executed.

My favorite racer

I had to uninstall and reinstall to get the game to save. Seems to only have the one camera which is a helicopter chase style. The graphics look really good on high and pretty bad at default. It seems like the brake pedal doesn’t always engage with touch controls, where you end up accelerating off corners instead. The physics are deliberate, focused on control over speed. Overall my favorite racing game on my phone. It’s pleasant.

I Love this game it looks and plays decent. I would love to see better optimization on iOS. It’s buggy in gameplay. I didn’t mind the price bc I like the game. Graphics are actually beautiful for the style it’s in. It’s very challenging depending if you’re going for speed but I have no issues with a controller hooked up. Great game, needs fixes

Great rally game that goes into more detail about the history of rally than you’d expect. The driving physics are also good. However, the current build of the game (1.0.5) on iOS has optimization problems and cannot save progress properly. I recommend waiting to buy until there are fixes to these issues
