Really enjoyed this game - was a decent return to form, and the essence of the original shone through.

As a backer of this game I am very proud 💕
- lalolana · v2.3.1
I just bought this game for the iPhone 14 in 2022 with the 6,1 inch display which is not huge to begin with and the game only occupies like 70% of the screen! It has big black bars on each side of the screen and the battery level and time at the top of the screen don't even go away. It's like playing a pirated version of a game on Android. I understand this in a game like Beneath a Steel Sky, but not in this more modern game. It was there that I realized it hadn't been updated since iOS 13. I really wanted to enjoy it but I guess if you dont have an iPad it's going to be a very lacking experience. I really wish they updated it but I highly doubt it.
- danielsarraff · v2.3.1
Love the graphics and story line. However, it could be a little less wordy. Otherwise, great fun and good puzzles
- RainS345G · v2.3.1
As the other two parts, this is a great game. Not to simple, not to hard. Overall well balanced with a fun story.
- Wanni · v2.3.1
As stated I’ve restarted and there’s a piece of the letter missing. Had my partner mess with it too and nothing. Game deleted and reinstalled and still the same result. I’d like a refund.

I wasn’t thrilled to find that after I had bought the broken sword bundle they had only given me half of #5, but after playing the half and it being so very good, I figured I’d dish out extra $ to buy the second half. So glad I did. This series has been fun, with great characters, storylines, but by far #5 has surpassed the others! My only complaint is trying to get objects to interact on such a tiny screen - I was nearly stuck on the part with the cable cars because I couldn’t get something in my inventory to reach an item lower on my screen! I managed to get it, but just barely! Anyway, very fun game. Hopefully there will be more!
- Paleofemme · v2.3.1

Update: iOS 13 is not supported! / Why no sync? I wanted to continue my Apple TV progress on iPhone but no saved game progress:( I refuse playing in it until progress is synced between my Apple devices.
- Sergey Saks · v2.3
Great entry in the Broken Sword series! The artwork is unreal. Love the voice acting and all the familiar characters, plus some memorable new additions. Plus, you get to hear the 70’s hit “Jasmine” playing on vinyl again! (#2 on the Swedish charts, don’t you remember??) Overall, a unique game with lots of suspense and interesting history.
- Little Psyche · v2.3
if u have played any of the broken sword games, i think this one was probably the best...... both part 1 and part 2 were great.... would definitely get the next entry in the series... this game is a great value at full price.... it is a fraction of what these games would be on pc or 3ds! great job developers, great story, great artwork..... a cinematic point and click masterpiece!!!
- elliot333 · v2.3
Great game but hit a snag. Gehens map does not let me enter the word south so i cannot complete the puzzle and move on with the game. Ooof
- Yerachmielz · v2.3
Great game, nice graphics, good addition to the series, etc. I just wish I was able to play the whole thing. You see, to make inventory items interact with the environment, you just drag the icon over the hotspot on the screen. This was just fine. Until the tram station in episode two. That lunchbox and those gears do not want to come together as they ought to. You see, the icon hovers about 2 cm above your finger as you drag it around. And the hotspot I need to drag it to is about 1 cm above the bottom of the screen. I can’t continue the game until I can bring these two together. It’s rather frustrating being locked out of the end of a game I paid for.
- Thaklaar · v2.3
I tolerated this snail like game until the neon sign. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not waste your time. I would rather watch paint dry. We need more games like Rooms and less of these clunky, boring games!😡
- bud4u2 · v2.3
Boring! 50% less dialogue might make this novella interesting! Might!
- Sidearm Sally · v2.3
Great action, thoroughly researched and intricate plot, witty banter. If you like this style of gaming, you'll love this game.
- IsmiseSeánanfile · v2.3
I loved this game. I'm hoping for more Brian Ken Sword releases for iPhone
- solidarity · v2.2
Some puzzles weren't intuitive and didn't make sense. Have to buy second half as an in app purchase for another $5.99. Way too short and lacking for a $12 game.
- Jesakit · v1.14
I just finished playing Broken Sword 2 (again.. After many years) and now 5 (new for me). What fun! I have always loved the adventures of George and Nico and it was fun seeing them brought into the modern age (smart phones!) while still maintaining the old adventure game feel. Yes, it is true that you do have to pay an additional 5.99 for the second part, but I didn't think the game was short at all (as another reviewer stated) and since I remember regularly paying 25.00-30.00 for these games on PC, I really wasn't bugged paying for both part one and two of this game. Now.. My only question is.. Where is Broken Sword 3 and 4?
- WWLugo · v1.14
This is one of the greatest games ever ! Thanks for making it
- Bo 3baid · v1.14
If you want to finish Broken Sword 5 you will have to pay an additional 5.99 and this is so much shorter than the other 2 games in the series. I'm very disappointed
- Shopperscloset · v1.14
I really enjoyed playing this game, as soon as I finished, I got Broken Sword 1 and 2 also. I was not disappointed in any way. I hope they make IPad apps for 3 and 4.
- Trillessa · v1.14
I couldn't stop playing it. It reminded me a lot of Broken Sword 2 which is an amazing Classic in my opinion
- Fias.Barry · v1.14
I've played the first 2 IOS games, they were good, great character voices and plot, but I felt a little dull at times, a lot of dialogue. This game reminded me really of old school Sierra games as well, but I feel it had a bit more humor, which I liked. Nicos part was very minimal. I really liked George's voice acting, I think it literally made the game better. Some of the puzzles I found um, ove-the-top far-fetched, I had to use a walk through, but that's me. I totally loved the religious/pagan mixed plot. A great deal for under ten bucks.
- Cvb177 · v1.14
I just bought this game to play over the holidays. When I turned my phone off my progress was lost and I had to start over. After the second occurrence I deleted the app.
- Studhawk1 · v1.14
I loved this game! I love adventure games and this is an excellently directed game with historical bases and really imaginative.
- Yelibeans · v1.14
I love playing this series! I hope there is many more. I've been following the story of George Stobbard and Nico Collard since the first game. I love how the game feels and I love the story. I wish the game was more like the second game. I liked the animated feel. However, this game is a good buy. Definitely worth it.
- Linguine ares · v1.14
I have played all of the broken swords and I love them! But now I've finished playing BS 5 and purchased part 2 but when I press for Episode 2 nothing happens! I would really love to play the second half! Please help me!
- Glamajag · v1.13
I played knights of the Templar and loved it, so I bought this one (accidentally skipped the mirrors curse). This one I like a lot as well, it's got a great story, lots of bizarre things in it - a groovy drunken hallucination, aided by George, an interesting philosophical bit with a cockney hit man, and an evil baddy lurking in season 1 but becomes as evil as Dr. No in episode 2. Highly recommended!
- lesnla · v1.13
Absolutely loved this! Took us back to when the OG came out on playstation. Really enjoyed it and didn't even mind the extra purchase! We would keep buying them just please don't stop producing!
- Akyuk69 · v1.13
I have loved all the broken sword story games so far and this was no exception, however, super short!!!!! The other versions were so long I often wondered if they would ever end!!! This one was nothing compared to them in length, and then they get you all involved, and they want another 5 bucks out of you for the second part. Won't be buying that anytime soon unless it goes on sale for .99!
- Jamerjet61 · v1.13
I bought this game but it won't start the downloading process. Please fix or I would like my 5 bucks back. Thanks.
- Jess Nicastro · v1.13
I bought the game but it doesn't start the download. Please, fix it.
- MatheusCoelh · v1.13
Very interesting and fun to play. Hope that there will be more parts of it soon.
- YulyMashAnya · v1.13
At first the downloader said it was downloading but stayed at 0%. Then I paused at and resumed and it worked.
- Bradskills · v1.13
I was finally able to download and play episode 2. I love these games! Episode 2 was definitely short for the price but the graphics continue to improve. Keep 'em coming :)
- Nertgirl · v1.13
Still not working even with this update. I see they added download controls. But status just says "waiting". Will be requesting a refund
- Flightdoc5242 · v1.13
I enjoyed this one. The puzzles were fun. Nothing mind blowing. The team fixed the download issue and provided great email support too.
- justinadams · v1.13
Love these games. Fantastic storyline combined with great graphics + interface.
- JTs2Kool4Skool · v1.12
Update for episode 2: It's still beautiful, even more so than episode one. But the game play is the same, moving from room to room solving a specific subset of puzzles. That breaks up the flow of the story. There's also a couple of horrendous puzzles including one involving musical notes and paint cans. I did enjoy the story. It's too bad the gameplay isn't nearly as good as the scenery. Review for episode 1: In this first episode you literally go from room to room, solving the puzzles within that room. Many of the situations are contrived. Everything you need will be in that room. Between rooms you will listen to a lot of dialog. When you can contribute to the conversation, it makes little difference what you select. There are unnaturally long delays when you want to talk with someone. The scenes are incredibly detailed and the animation, which is lacking for some actions, looks good. I laughed when, after Nico swept up some blood, she tucked the broom into her blazer. It's unfortunate given how beautiful the scenes look. It's all story development so far. Hopefully episode 2 will have more substance.

Update on the 08/21/2014: I finished the game after Revolution fixed the issue. Great game... but I'm still mad it took so long for you release the fix. Next game, make it harder, longer please (15hours of play) August 7th 2014: I paid for ep.2 and I cannot play it!! Revolution didn't even answer my mail about it. I want a refund.
- AppStoreUserSince2006 · v1.12
Love this game! Been a fan since I first played. Been anxiously waiting to play episode 2, and now it's finally available and I can't play!! I spent the $5.99 and nothing. Please fix this!!!! Or refund my $$
- Lovektg124 · v1.12
Paid for episode 2 but can't download. Ridic.
- Razor197980 · v1.12
I wish I would have read the reviews before spending my $ on a game I can't even play. I usually do but since I didn't have any problems with episode 1, I just went ahead & bought it without doing my research 1st. I won't do that again. Please fix this & I will adjust my rating accordingly.
- Itsmekari · v1.11
Game failed twice at the same place, at the wind chimes. The key could not be obtained as the scene wouldn't open as the walkthrough said it would. Again the game was downloaded twice and it failed each time at the same place. I'd think twice about purchasing this game because of the possible loss of time and money, not to mention the frustration.
- skara1 · v1.11
I have purchased Episode 2 but can't figure out how to play it, nor even if it is downloaded properly. I had no problem with Episode 1.
