Broken Sword 5: Episode 1

This game in the Broken Sword series was my favorite. The puzzles were different than others in similar point and click games. I enjoyed the storyline and the animation was awesome. very well done.

Game seems great, just like the old school ones BUT I'm having a major issue. When downloading further assets after the games opening it always and I do mean always gets stuck at 366.60mb. it will not go any further no matter what i do. Uninstall, reinstall, clear cache. I've tried them all and still nothing. Once this is sorted this would be a 5* game in my eyes because 1 and 2 are among the best game ever made imo. Edit - I've left my previous review but it has been sorted. 5* game.

It's good, not *great*. It works perfectly well with no real issues. The biggest problem I encountered was some minor visual jank like your character briefly appearing in front of/behind something they shouldn't and that throwing off your perspective. The story is a bit dull compared to previous entries in the series; you're still basically chasing down a paper trail hours into the game and in previous games you'd have visited two or three different continents or hidden temples by that point.

Good until it is not, Broken Sword is an excellent game however it crashes out when you get to medovskys library at 46% complete and nothing stops it, waste of time doing a new install as same issue.

I didn't enjoy this game the same as i did other's from the series. Found the direction of clues to be silly and constantly using the hint button, far too random for my liking.

The game is brilliant, but Playstore won't let me purchase episode 2. It declines the transaction, but there is nothing wrong with my payment method as I was able to buy episode 1 and other games. Could the issue be with the game?

A little expensive and unfortunately put into two parts so you have to pay twice but it is a very engaging Adventure with a few puzzles. All that said it is worth purchasing if you like Adventure puzzles.

Both epìsodes had a curious issue downloading the additional assets at the end of their respective first scenes: the progress bar appeared and jumped almost immediately to 100%, but nothing else happened - no download. On killing the process and restarting it (I had to complete the first scene again), this time when the download progress bar appeared (I think it again jumped straight to 100% but not sure), the download icon appeared in the status bar, and the download completed fine.

Agree with other reviewers, it is quite short for the price. A good adventure though, and recognizably in the same spirit as the earlier Broken Sword games. Problems are taxing at times (as they should be for this sort of game) but fair and not ridiculously improbable.

Probably one of the very few titles that really worths the price. And gives you a fair amount of brain tease. Not for the lesser IQ Asphalt playing kids. This comes close to the real era of gaming, which starts to slide into oblivion.

As always the Broken Sword series delivers a fun, entertaining, quirky point and click game. BS5 goes back to the old style P&C and the nostalgia for old characters makes this a must play for Broken Sword fans old and new.

I really love this game series, but unfortunately it has been long time since last update... On bigger screen it doesn't work properly in fact the bottom of the screen is cut out, making the game unplayable. Is it that difficult for a developer to adapt for newer phone displays? Last update was in 2014... I'm a big fan, I've the Broken Sword collectors edition for PC. I would like to play it, when I don't have my PC, on my phone. Please Revolution Software don't abandon us 🙏🏻
