Huh
- LevitheSlaYr · v4.10.32
There are so many cheaters on this app and grossly inadequate detection. In fact it’s so easy to cheat at chess on chess.con. There are free apps that just automatically give you move options as you play. So the whole idea of paying for chess is worthless. Also chess.con has taken the fun out of chess since it creates an atmosphere of paranoia about your losses. Did your opponent cheat? Maybe just for a few moves? You’ll never know! Especially since chess.con’s “cheat detection” is a joke. Why does Apple allow this chess app in the store? Would not give these people your money, there are much better apps for playing chess that do not involve subscriptions and far less cheating and FAKE REVIEWS. Is it any wonder that the one topic that shall-not-be-discussed on chess.com community message boards is cheating? Yup! Talk about it and you get banned. ENJOY!!!!

- Use chess.com for ai slop ads · v4.10.32
Made a new account to see what new users see when trying the game cuz my niece hated trying it Turns out they put y against ai opponents that have the same generic talking habits and ask the same questions It’s really off putting for new players rather than make them receive guidance or put them against same skill opponents they put them against an unbeatable ai that I with rank 900 couldn’t beat a supposed 250 player pls fix ur game and put a more effort into making the game more appealing Also fix yr hackers
- Subaru1256 · v4.10.32
App works good and you can learn a lot as a new player. Support is extremely clunky, people take a long time to reply (sometimes days or weeks) and the coach games bug out too much, which is what I use to learn. Issue was never fixed so be aware, your issue may take a long time if you need support.

- The penguin96885 · v4.10.32
In my experience, if you play anyone online, you are only going to encounter cheaters, or people who have been assigned a wrong rating. I have not had one single online game where the person I was playing played like their posted rating. I don’t know why anyone would use this app to play people online. Playing offline has been helpful, playing against the computer. I have learned a few things. The game evaluations can be helpful, but also inconsistent. Sometimes it calls a move brilliant and then later says the same move was a blunder. The training features generally seem to be well-designed and helpful. I really don’t understand why chess is so full of cheaters.

I knew almost nothing about chess and I have been using this app every day for over 7 months. I have learned a lot. Being a full member is really worth it. I love playing with my coach, Magnus. He warns me when I am about to make a big mistake. I now put myself as Intermediate II and I almost always beat him!! But if I put myself on the next level I ALWAYS lose. I guess I need to stay there and keep on playing. GREAT FUN !!
- Aucaman · v4.10.32
This app has made it pretty easy to understand chess but there is to many pay to learn things like 1 lesson per day and like 4 puzzles I think per day which makes it pretty hard to learn better
- Jenehehrntb · v4.10.32
This game lets you play with a coach for free and they go over your games so you know what you could have done differently. You can also rewind the last play if it is not a good one so you can learn and play longer!

If you start winning 2 - 3 games in a row, next few opponents will be bots. App will refresh after your consecutive wins and then they start sending bots
- Chess.comsucks.itsForLosers · v4.10.32
The coaching is honestly horrible. It doesn’t teach you strategy, it just forces you to make typical what it thinks is “by the book” moves, and if you try to play a different way, it’s literally scripted to punish you. Also there needs to be some serious region locking or something. I’m tired of playing against people outside of the US who are either bots, take forever to move, or are just blatantly cheating. Outside of all that, it’s just another mediocre chess app. EDIT: Devs reply and the app just gets worse. The coach is literally programmed to punish you if you don’t play the game its way, and most of the time it suggests horrible and braindead moves. So yeah, uninstalled and subscription cancelled.

I love this app very much and use it every day, but when you are being constantly being asked to buy something, it gets real annoying. For example, if I am trying to play my coach or trying to review my game, after some time it was ask you to buy unlimited amount of it and if you do not buy it then it won’t allow you to do it anymore. Even with this advertising, it is still a very good app to play chess.

Chess.com is epic, I’ve gotten so much better at chess through it and it is extremely hard to get off of the game. The puzzles/game reviews/coaching/whatever else you gotta pay for is lowkey a scam but ig they gotta make money somehow. Puzzles are very helpful and help me get better but I get better at a very slow rate because you can only do one per day without paying and paying for chess is crazy

They’ve a consistent pattern of wins and losses. Let’s say you’re about to go from 1400 to 1500. You would advance pretty quickly and then lose multiple games until you’re in low 1400s and then win again and then lose. This pattern continues for about 2 weeks and then you get a settled score of 1500 And then the same pattern repeats.

- LoveLichess · v4.10.16
Sometimes it’s a good app but other times it’s just outrageous. If the bot has only the king left and you have many other players they get a draw if it’s vice verse you lose. It just has it’s moments there is probably better apps.
- Jas3jrs! · v4.10.15
First and foremost, the game said they’d notify me before my free trial for premium would end, I never got notified (yes i have notifications on) therefore the app charged me for the annual plan for premium membership. Secondly, the game review always tells me i played like a 1250 but my current rating is 500 and i can’t ever go any higher, it feels like im going against pros.

Recently, it appears the tournament section is still experiencing major bugs. When accessing the current daily tournament tab, I have no options to select my tournaments, current tournaments, etc. These drop down menus were available before, but have oddly disappeared. I now have to go through a lengthy, awkward pathway to access and view the tournaments I am currently competing in. Another major issue is the app will not allow me to join tournaments. When I attempt to click the join button, nothing happens. It is not a timeout issue or anything else, and I know this because it won’t even display an error when clicking join. It simply does not work. I love the app and still use it, but seeing as the tournament section has suffered even more issues I have to lower my rating to three stars. Hopefully this can be resolved soon, because this app is still the best overall chess app to use in my honest opinion.

I found this very elegant as this game shows the perfect chess players. Also, you could play with players that you like any player you want you could play with them even if they’re a noob or a pro or they are the best player like Magnus Carlson then you can make it like him with this app chess.com has to be one of the most coolest things I’ve ever found 😆 it’s super addictive once you get the hang of it and then you finally get an addiction about about on Chess. I love the game as it is but if you want to make it better my one suggestion is to have an option to play with a black and white board or a gold and silver board because I played normal chess with my friend once and the board was gold and silver. It’s generally pretty good but there is a recurring flaw in that some players have figured out how to trigger an abort when they fall into an imminent losing position. There are routinely many players online so never need to wait more than a few seconds to be matched to an opponent. Advise against enabling chat - there are as many trolls and haters playing chess as on any other social media.

New home screen with carousels is a catastrophe. Please leave it alone. I don’t want to see puzzles on the top, there’s a tab for them. Don’t make my active games tiny—that’s literally the whole point of the Home screen. Don’t turn everything into a side swipe shelf/carousel. Good app, but the cost is what makes it suck
- Lenny5135 · v4.10.15
Meh, I don’t feel like this game is worth it. Plus it puts so much pressure on you to pay for premium. I honestly think you should at least get 3 free puzzles and there shouldn’t be a limit on coach games. I do not recommend this for literally anyone. Pretty “surprised I haven’t quit yet, TBH. NOT A GOOD GAME!!!
- FlOwErBlOnDiE · v4.10.15
On bullet chess, it is very common to get a stalemate when the time runs out for a player, when there should be a clear winner. Also would love to see some of the chess mods come to the mobile app that are currently on the browser version. Otherwise a top notch app and experience. Cheers.

- Lichess.org · v4.10.15
Way too much unfairness on this app! It’s not worth paying. Save your money. Just use the free stuff and play friends who you trust not to cheat! The folks who monitor things don’t care!
- cobjib · v4.10.15
I learned how to play chess in less than a month because of this game. I don’t have the membership either but you can have 1 lesson a day and 3 puzzles a day for free.

Have people who play the mobile app test your patches before you push them. Please god. The back and forward buttons during game review are now atrocious with responsiveness. You still have the move list right above the back and forth buttons so it’s easy to misclick and jump around when trying to advance move by move, then it’s impossible to actually go back to the move you were on because the place to press for each move is way too small to accurately land a finger or thumb. Move list shouldn’t be close enough that you can accidentally click it when trying to go move by move. Individual move buttons should be larger and separated so you can easily click on them, the UI in game review mode hasn’t been touched in ages, even tho you do these constant over iteration updates all the time.
- Zaamen · v4.10.15
Using analysis after a game ends has caused the app to crash for over a year it’s genuinely the most annoying thing ever

Enjoy playing on here. Like the opportunities to review games and improve strategy from the guidance provided. Has occasional glitches. Auto exits from long form games randomly at times.

I don’t know where to start but it’s the best game I’ve ever seen
- MIME-CRAFT · v4.10.15
This game is really good, but this game requires Premium to do basically anything. Also, I was playing bullet chess when it started lagging and then it said I abandoned the game. Also, please consider allowing playing more bots without a subscription. Otherwise this would be pay to win basically. Also, I just got Gold like, yesterday and I’m really just here for the puzzles, but do I seriously need to learn the Sicilian Defense? Also, the clock has a little bug where you make a move it delays a tiny bit of your time making you lose. But it still triggers the move.
- C00pSc00p · v4.10.15

I love this app but I’m bummed the advertised monthly event isn’t for all users even if you’re a paid subscriber, it’s just for a random selection. Hope they introduce unlockable content for the entire base soon!

You should add an elo mode to bots where you can switch it on and you’ll gain elo and lose elo or you can switch it off and you won’t gain or lose elo did i just cook or should i shut up??? 🔥
- Love da Lego · v4.10.15

the new sound during game play is extremely irritating, i cannot stand it.
- sidis31 · v4.10.15
Useless idiot devs should be fired. You can report someone for saying the n word and this pathetic company does nothing. These morons can’t even make the resign button work. Stalling is also a huge issue. Danny is an idiot. You can see in the chess untold story the anti cheat is a joke. They don’t even ban racist people. Pathetic platform. Danny and the devs that work for this garbage company should be fired.

Even though it is a good App overall, players cheat too much. It’s disgusting the rate some players cheat, on an App supposed to train the mind — ironic 😏
