Own Nothing and Be Happy. Unfortunately I can no longer recomend this once stellar paid app. As a paying customer I feel completely cheated.
- Drew W · v209
It was great, now its just bad.
- overkill · v209
Used to be 5 star, but no option to filter out art cards and some cards have alt art foreign language on them too. This really gets in the way of the deck building experience when searching for potential cards. If they fix that I'd say 5 star again.
- Allen Cunningham (EpicKnight) · v209
used to be better when it came to finding cards and building decks but now seems alot worse. my main issue is, and maybe this is in my head, that playtesting decks is not random. it gives me that same selection if around 15ish hands with the exact same cards in the exact same order. the draws of those hands are the same as well
- Alex Bradley · v209
I have been using this app for over ten years. The search tool available here is top notch. Still use frequently and would recommend to everyone.
- Joshua “Josh” Reigh · v209
this app WAS fantastic but now it will show the full art no text version of cards and you can even flip to see the description and you cant turn it off. Hopefully they fix it because this app was great
- Jacob Baker · v209
Pros: -This app does not collect data -Allows for deck playtesting Cons: -App is bare bones and not intuitive -Menu's must be constantly accessed in order to view decks; can't view list of decks -Card arts cannot be selected -Card search is limited
- El'li Zaethe · v209
Fantastic app. Great for looking up and finding obscure cards and building decks. After several years of use, the images downloaded took up a decent amount on my phone. I was hoping for a way to have them save to my SD card instead of my phone directly to save space, but disappointingly that is not an option. UPDATE (01/23/26): Great app, but unfortunately it takes up a lot of space as time goes on. Probably deleting it today after seeing it is currently taking up 20GB of storage
- Nick Roberts · v209
I bought the app over a decade ago and have been using it ever since. In my oppinion it's the best deck-building app there is and has been my go-to magic decklist organizer for all this time. The search option is fantastic, since you can tune it way better and more intuitively than for example the Gatherer and exporting lists is easy. Only downside: You can no longer look at or read the backside of doublesided cards, it's bugged for some time now.
- Konstantin Dämon · v209
I've used the app before the first I made something truly diabolical but now it doesn't want to load to purchase new cards. any suggestions
- Tyrel Pritchard · v209
I've been using the app since 2013, and for the first time since then, I've disliked it. it's been the best app for finding cards and building decks, but now the deck builder is completely inoperable. It still has a very good search feature, but it gets bogged down by loading other languages or unnecessary art cards. a solid card search feature, but that's all it's good for now.
- A Google user · v197
It loads unnecessary art cards as defaults. the filter to search without them or to remove them is tedious. it'll add them by default. viewing the backside of a card doesn't work; you need to select the text-only option. Some of the filters are things I've never heard of anyone use. there's Alchemy cards on here. anyone who plays Alchemy does all their work ON Arena. it takes up space on this app.
- Armando Nargi · v209
This app used to be amazing. Over time, it has becone less and less. Choose another, not this one.
- Sean Younce · v197
I have been using this app for years, absolutely love it. only issue I've had is that since around Tarkir Dragonstorm, there have been no pricing showing up for any cards released after that point. Still would highly recommend for anyone looking to brew decks for Magic
- Joseph Stephans · v209
The app was absolutely amazing. Now, due to art cards being shown and can be the one listed for "Unique" it causes some issues. Also, dual sided cards no longer flip on tap. They just go to the text version. It's really annoying and I hope these things get fixed soon. Edit: Things were never fixed. This app was just taking up a ton of space on my device. Ended up removing it. Still looking for a replacement.
- Damoriggs
an app that's holding on by sunk cost phalcy. it's buggy and frustrating to use to say the least.
- Jae · v209
Great well made! I use this app more then anything else on my device. It is amazing for building and messing around with decks and cards. Plus you can test draw them to see how well they work! Lowering my rating they removed banned cards and I don't appreciate that.
- Evanta Montatez · v209
Still the best MTG companion app!
- A Google user · v209
Why do none of the pricing sources ever work? And why are non-playable cards in this database? The hardcard commander foils, as well as a bunch of other useless junk, shouldn't be in here.... Edit: still filling up with useless art cards and non playables. Pricing still never works.... Did away with the card art for flipcard backsides..... failure....
- James Tayrien · v209
I've been using this app for years and updates frequently with new cards. Great job. Card buying option isn't working is my only complaint.
- Logan Stokes
It was a great app, but a persistent bug has persisted for a long time now. It never shows the reverse of double sided cards, and with how many are being printed that means I need to leave the app to look it up separately somewhere else.
- Trunnell's Tavern Tales · v209
Been using this app for years now. always my go to for deck building.
- Chris Apostolides · v209
5/20/2025. Still number one app. Sharing deck lists are still busted. Importing decks with double faced cards just get rejected depending on the format you pulled the decklist from. And double faced cards have no card art for the back. It use to but it doesn't anymore? What's up with that?
- Steve Wilkins · v209
The support for this app has gotten worse and worse over the years. Dual-sided cards no longer display properly, it crashes frequently, and for some reason the default listing for many cards is in other languages. Don't waste your money.
- Erin Haggerty · v209
I've used this app for years and have loved it dearly. over time it's gotten to the point where I can't open the app with out an update. the most recent one made it to where I cant make new decks or even add cards to one. severely disappointed and beyond upset.
- Jared Martin · v209
This was my go-to deck building app for years. It is an infinitely worse app now than it was when I first installed it. Searching has gotten worse now that the default version of a card it shows it the art card version, the purchasing tool doesn't work properly, and the in-app price checker doesn't function, making it anyone's guess how much a card costs until to go online to check a store.
- DJ Hart · v209
this used to be the best deck building app. but there's so many problems that have been added. flip cards haven't worked for years on Android. I've reached out and no attempt to fix it seems to be made. frustrating that when you search for cards a lot of the time the magic online, arena, or the damn art series version pops up first! why does a deck building app even have set series cards?? I wish we could go back to how it used to be. simplified and stream line, the app is a mess now.
- Jordan “KanadienPhatBoy”
Word of warning don't buy this app I've been using this app for decades and they use discord to cheat people out of money then make the app worse while claiming your the problem but change hands of owners at least twice since I started using it so to call this a scam is an understatement
- Praska Bruce · v209
Been using this app for years. It seems like in the past year I have noticed a few issues or missing features. -The app can freeze and restart itself after searching a few different filter parameters. -Card prices often do NOT load at all, even when resetting the price options. -No way to search for 2-sided cards. -There needs to be a card view setting that is the opposite of only viewing unique cards or cheaper options.
- ryan daniel · v209
FYI, the Street Fighter Secret Lair cards aren't showing up. Otherwise, great app.
- Brandon · v209
No longer connects to tcg player to purchase
- Chris Donoghue · v209
Love this app. I've had it since 2012 and still use it all the time. Is there any chance a "dark mode" can be added?
- Jordan Hart · v209
A solid deck building and collection app. Updates regularly to keep up with the expanding sets. Only thing I wish they would add is capability to export Decks for MTG Arena format.
- James Freeman · v209
Great for building decks and worth the cost of the app. Only have 2 negatives so far. Some cards are in spanish which doesnt matter since you can tap the card and read the text version, and i wish there was a dark mode
- clowny McClownerton · v209
Still need an update for March of the Machines
- Crunchy Myers · v209
Used this app for years, and while the devs keep up with set releases the app itself seems to be falling behind. Deck export isn't compatible with arena, and the standard format filter has had the wrong sets for a while.
- Daniel Walker · v209
Can only use a research tool unable to order cards
- King Train215 · v209
I adored this app until they started adding all the art cards. Now when you are trying to find cards it is more difficult and annoying, and when I send a deck list to people after choosing cards it just sends art cards regardless of what type you choose. I also can't find a reasonable way to talk to the people or a useful FAQ.
- Shaun Iverson · v209
I really like being able to search oracle text and the simple search criteria that allow for a very accurate filter system. I just wish there was a dark mode or if the whole app was always in dark mode. My late night building sessions are great other than staring at this app and getting temporarily blinded.
- Eric Work · v209
Very useful app. The share deck links aren't the best. Sometimes it tags an art card and the card it is associated with so only the art shows up when you share the deck, or an entire set won't appear despite it having been released months ago. Other than that specific problem i enjoy this app.
- Bryan Howes · v209
Currently needs an update as it has a bug that keeps crashing it. Otherwise its a solid App.
- Valigantir · v209
Love the app and use it all the time. My only things is i wish it had a night mode. The bright white background when I first open the app when I can't sleep can be a bit bright.
- William Riccardi · v196
It used to be perfect. Used to be. Now they're adding all kinds of junk to it. I don't need Online stuff, I don't need tokens. I've moved to Manabox. I used to tell people to get this app. I'm done with it.
- Jacob Tucker · v209
This app is a solid search engine for finding cards that perform specific functions. I tend to use this app to make decklists that I can later import to my email or to a buying website. 10/10 app.
- Jason M · v209
Works great at helping build new commander decks.
- Robert Knight · v209
latest update keeps crashing the app. 9/21/24
- James Anders · v209
App is all but abandoned on Android. Super disappointing. Formerly great app but camera/ scan has been down several months with no updates. The art and alchemy card treatments as the same as as all other [playable versions of the] cards is fairly unforgivable and needs to be addressed.
- Ed · v209
Looked promising, but just paid $5 for the card scan feature, and it doesn't work...Doesn;t even open the camera, just goes straight to a "processing" message, if I cancel the Go button is grayed out. I can leave the screen and come back, but still won't open the camera (yes, it has permission). Should have checked reviews first...
- Nick M · v209
This app has gone downhill so much over the past year up to Aug 2024 (on the same phone since Dec 22). Card art showing instead of actual card in searches, attempts to price and purchase a deck leads to inaccurate information on the website(s) chosen, adding cards to saved decks (like 37 additional copies of the same card for a commander deck) each time you open it, and a multitude of various other issues. I'm tired of mustering up the patience for this app. I am sadly going to have to move on.
