DragonSpear: Nightmare Master

I have mixed feelings about this game. It encourages you to grind (Crafting set bonuses requires a huge amount of gold and some items), but repeating stages gives so little rewards that it kills the joy. The game also encourages you to level other characters for "raids", but forces you to endure the extremely slow and frustrating tutorial every. single. time. Give us the option to skip the tutorial, and give us the option to skip the story if we've already done that stage.

It's a fun game, very reminiscent of Dragon's Crown on the PS Vita just a bit easier. It works on Android based handhelds (e.g. RG Slide, Ayn Thor) and looks good in 4:3 resolution too.

I literally just started this game and I'm already in awe. I'm only sad by the fact that this 3 year old game only has 10k downloads. Most games nowadays charges $9.99 just for no ads, and still show you ads when you want certain rewards. Just take a moment and hear me out, no stamina, no ads, no gacha, no daily chores, and no pay2win system. Seriously, when was the last time you have played a mobile ARPG that doesn't even charge money to expand your inventory capacity? Yup, it cost nothing here

Did I just bought a game with bugs? Why is it getting a black screen after we use the crafted items and go back to the lobby? So annoying to restart the game every time we equip crafted items just to go black screen after we equip it fix it.

Really fun game. Big fan of VanillaWare games and this definitely has the same charm, combat and feel to it (also jiggle lol). Love the art style of the portraits too, its like a softer VanillaWare style, very pretty. The different characters play similar yet completely differently, love the Assassin girl, super fun. Translations can be a little weird but I've been playing games for so long I just find it quirky. Pulling off some combos makes you feel pretty bad-jiggly-butted. Great ARPG game!

Fun offline beat-em-up style game with nice visuals. Story and english translation isn't great, but the game play and visuals make up for it somewhat. Perfect game to play when you have time to kill and when you have poor or no cell signal. Doesn't drain battery that fast too.

Gameplay is fun, the problem is when I reinstall the game my cloud save is lost. I tried to login and it asked me to relaunch the game and when I did the game didnt login. I'm stuck in login - load save data loop step. umm... I stared a new game to stage 1-4 or 5 maybe and I tried to load save data again and now even local save is lost haha

It's pretty good, although you can't dodge cancel an attack. The drop for gear is a relatively low rate. It'll take you 3-5 times to get a drop at times. That grind is small, but it does make it feel repetitive over time. It feels like some of the more advanced gear is too far into the story. It makes a large portion of the beginning feel like rinse and repeat with no real strategy. It is fun though.

Dragon's Crown and Diablo 3 mix kind of...I love it! Sorry to hear that piracy thing. But it was because of piracy I found this game. Instant buy. Not as advanced as Dragon's Crown but enough to hook you for days, sure looks as gorgeous. Story reminds of Diablo 3 which is fine. Do story unlocks abyss boss arena. You can use your own characters as partners in abyss, so it's highly recommended that you do the first story part with every character. Consumables and runes have shared storage.

It's too bad multi-player was disabled from the game but in all honesty it's still very fun to play. Takes me back to older side scrolling action rpgs that are no longer available to play. Well done devs. Still would be nice to play with other players but all in all a well put together game. Story, character development, battle visuals, and art.

Please make support for HID controllers work! Make dinput controllers supported. Amazing 2d Action Rpg finally Offline Premium! I am so happy that DragonSpear lives again. The developers brought the premium version from steam back to mobile and I couldn't be happier. I only wish gamepad support is a little bit better because my left thumbstick reads x and y axis mixed.

It feels like this is what all those gacha games were originally supposed to be. Gameplay is your usual beat-em-up. There is no co-op, instead you can take your alt characters on the old co-op content. Gear sets are all really good looking and there's quite a bit of fashion aspect. Almost every set can be just farmed for it with 2 sets (currently) being an in-app purchase, those sets are purely cosmetic. Basically if you love sidescrolling beat em up games, this one is a Must Have.
