Fun to play, the Servants are amazing, and while I was kinda bored at the very start the difficulty actually builds rapidly so you have to stop and work to progress, which is nice. But it also gives me lots of issues. The app lags constantly, and the last couple days I haven't been able to even open it. It gives me a notice about game not launching correctly & maybe clearing the cache will help, but I select it & nope. I even cleared the cache myself, restarted my phone, uninstalled & redownload

so.. I will admit there is heavy fanservice and the events have alot of grinding but every game has its flaws and it's really fun, the concept of having historical people fight for you is genius and the gameplay is fun plus the character designs are good, my personal favorite it oda nobunaga and it has alot of things to do with a good story and I like to play it with my friend so definitely 5/5 stars

Great gameplay, easy to learn mechanics with some degree of tactics to be learned. Frequent seasonal events to spice up the otherwise stellar story (that also gets updated every so often). Don't bother trying to "catch them all," the roll rate for the best servants is....low. On that note... One word of warning. Do not spend any money on this game outside of the guaranteed summon banner at end of year. One can spend $200 and not see any return in this game. The pity system is trash.

I'm getting sick and tired of them forcing you to use Mash she's the reason that these battles and boss fights were difficult. having her interfering between you and the servants was irritating enough I'm just sick of it that they're thinking she's so special. if you still can't get rid of her after finishing the main story in the future I don't think I'll continue on playing this game even though there are two characters I'm waiting for after that.

ahh fgo. what a game. it has amazing story. Great characters such as my beloved (Barghest) and challenging fights. then you realize youre playing the game with horrid gacha and a predatory amount of monetization. you need 900 of the in-game current for pity. if you get a character before pity unlike in any **SMART** game. your pity doesnt get reset. you just lose pity. I hate the gacha. Im going to give it one last try. I want to clear the whole story.

Gameplay is simple yet complex, easy to pick up and difficult to master. Massive catalogue of servants add variety, unfortunately only about half of them are actually useful. Story is fantastic, with a lot of content. Gacha mechanics and grinding are abysmal. After 4 years, still never have enough materials for all my servants. No auto-play feature to help. Did I mention gacha is abysmal? It's honestly the worst part of this game. Expect constant disappointment. And still no Google account sync.

EDIT: Updated review based on state of game in 2026. I used to be a big fan of this game and I still really love the Fate franchise. However, as time has gone on, I have come to dislike it more and more. The story and gameplay is good, but the gacha system has made things feel terrible. You could dump hundreds of dollars into this game and likely still not get the character you want, even though they are "rate up". Don't even try to get a character if you are F2P, as the odds are against you.

Clear that the devs no longer care about summer units, events, or welfares. Despite calling it a "swimsuit event", we're lucky if the units even get a single swimsuit. Some don't have any at all. Ereshkigal finally got one, and they gave her the most boring one they could. I remember when every ascension was a swimsuit. They couldn't even bother to give us a summer welfare unit either. Most of my enjoyment of this game comes from the summer events/units. Without those, there's no reason to play.

The one gacha where you can actually say the meta doesn't matter (aside from a certain few support characters, but the game allows borrowing off friends and randoms, so there's an element of try before you buy and attempt the gacha). Great story that ties into multiple Type-Moon works, and once you progress decently far into the game and save up for said specific characters (who show up frequently despite being Limited), the game becomes quite free feeling and enjoyable.

Objectively bad game disguised as a slot machine. I was curious to see if I could get the latest servant, Space Ekereshel or whatever, and blew 112 rolls and nothing. Checked the pity and its 330 rolls for pity?? Don't waste your time or money with this game, the reward for a 9th year anniversary is several special banners with "higher" rates but oh, guess what. You can only use the paid currency. 1$ per summon btw. Play Epic Seven, not this garbage, at least Epic is an actual game.

the Game draws you in up until the 3rd Lostbelt where they began designing fights just to punish you for not having the best supports that you can double up on. there's still no auto farming to this day either. this game doesn't respect your time, or the effort you put into it, the rewards are paltry, compensation is a joke, giving you at BEST 2 pulls worth for 24 hours worth of maintenance.

I enjoyed the game for a time, but it soon became frustrating to me. I hate that the summoning rates for 5 star characters are LITERALLY 0.5% or even less than that, and I end up wasting all my gems on that summoning.I hate the fact that there is no auto battle feature, especially for grinding for materials. I have to manually battle for those materials and majority of the time I do, I don't get the material I need and it becomes SO repetitive to the point I don't even want to play it anymore.

Aside from the $15 guaranteed gacha and very occasional Servants that I want, I do not want to spend more on this game again. Even with their current pity system, it sucks to pour what you accumulate just to not get what you were looking for before pity. Rates need to be better and have a multi-pity system. The two stars are for the story and graphics.

A game with one of the greatest stories i have ever read over the course of my life and a cast of great characters with great designs by a great number of artists. this game also has fantastic music during climatic fights especially later in the story, but is severely held down by the gameplay, gacha and the great lack of quality of life features. the gameplay is terribly simple and repetitive, the gacha feels very unfavorable and the game feels as though it hasn't been polished for a 10yo game
