NEEDS controller support. Real bad.
- Fritamente · v1.1.9
need to upgrade so it can play on android 16, apple users can still play this but not android users
- Joei Morton · v1.1.9
Damn I was harsh on this before. Gameplay's good, characters not so much. It's worth a try, if only because it's an actual game on mobile. Previous comment: "Just a generic rehash of the better games in the series, not even putting an interesting spin on anything. The characters are less interesting than the FFI warriors, somehow. Not worth the purchase."
- RandomVideoPeruser · v1.1.1
Use to be my favorite app on my android phone. Now it doesn't launch on my new Nord CE5. Fix this compatibility issue!
- Leong Law · v1.1.9
used to be my favorite game on here, Now completely unplayable as it won't even launch due to an unnamed "bug"
- John Hager · v1.1.9
unplayable because of constant crashing.
- Grove Sancho · v1.1.9
very good game
- Joe Russell · v1.1.9
Long time square fan here...this is way too much mandatory dialogue and grinding...so easy to fix this for people that just want to play a real challenge
- Gracia Onzain
it's a very good final fantasy game I beat it already twice.. it starts of hard the battles are not easy you would expect negative reviews because they don't know how to play... it's a long amazing game good final boss great game made here, beautiful pixel graphics too I recommend it. But expect the begining hard until later when you find your strategy.
- Necron x · v1.1.9
I enjoy this game, but docking a star due to lack of controller support. Controller support earns that coveted 5th star.
- John Kelley · v1.1.9
don't wait your time. from th ex very start you get poisoned non-stop and you get very little gold from battles so it makes impossible to get anywhere in this game. very disappointing
- Andy · v1.1.9
3 Main Points annoy me and I've Played all FF games back to the beginning when they came out before we had proper translations for the pirated Japanese Exclusives. 1.) Wait/Active option for battles is broken. Not a proper turn based battle. 2.) Job system has been needlessly modified with "JP" to limit growth dependent on story. 3.) Dialogue and Character development and Story engagement are horrid. Very dry.
- ᛃᛟᚺᚾ “Nephalem” ᛋᛗᛁᛏᚺ · v1.1.9
Hands down the worst FF game i've ever played, and im pretty sure i have played them all. Turn based, except enemies can skip your turn if you dont click fast enough. One of the dumbest things I've ever seen in a game. Complete lack of mana regen, and mana regen items are far too expensive. Some classes cut cost or give double spells late game, but you can afford the mana items by then so.... useless. You have to switch between two different parties constantly, so double your grind!!!
- David Laney · v1.1.9
Excellent!
- RPG Master · v1.1.9
Great composite of enemies from all of the original 2 & 3D Final Fantasies, but horribly irritating to attempt to play under the circumstances of a potentially eleven star difficulty. Monsters which regenerate only to wipe out my team. Very low replay value. Lacks the entertainment value. HMPH! Erased.
- Brad Gibbs (Brad Hibbs)
This is my Favorite FF game of all time, the Job and Fusion Ability system is great (even more than FF5). I have spent a lot of time playing it and trying to find every item in this game. Will be great if you update it with a Bestary with the detail of Item Drops or Items that can be stolen. Also, I guess an update need to be done for last Android version because it constantly crashes on Android 16 (Galaxy S24+). Uncle Square Enix, please do more games like this, it makes us recall our childhood
- Einar Lopez · v1.1.9
Stupid,CHILDISH, repetitive ff.😮💨Not worth the time OR the $15 price tag.I am a LIFELONG FF FAN,but I hated this one.So will you..
- Steven Wiggins · v1.1.9
Amazing Original Story, a must for classic Final Fantasy fans.
- Charles Stewart · v1.1.9
Fun Factor: 7.5 Overall Score: 68% Letter Rating: B If Square Enix had stuck this between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI, I would've not batted an eye—that's a firm testament to the greatness of this game. While this game certainly had its issues (which I'm sure would've been fixed if Square Enix had given it a larger development team), in some ways, I prefer this to Final Fantasy V—this game is that good.
- Brighton Nelson · v1.1.7
This game could have easily been released in a standard console or PC setting. It's that full and engaging (took me over 50 hours with extras to finish).
- Carmine Cammarata · v1.1.9
Classic FF game. I wish they would port this to steam and console.
- Timothy Sullivan · v1.1.9
please add controller support.
- Rioz Newbie · v1.1.8
This game could have been called Final Fantasy VII in a universe where the series never switched to PS1.
- Veronica Sinclaire · v1.1.8
Great game for fans of FFIV, V and VI
- Louis-Philippe de Seve-Bergeron · v1.1.8
It plays alright on the phone, waiting for it to be playable on the Google play games beta, so I can play it on my pc without using bluestacks.
- tufrabza · v1.1.8
Just make all Final Fantasy games this, but Expedition 33... You know? Classic.. I really miss when Final Fantasy was awesome so if you do too, maybe this is for you.
- Jeff Gilpin · v1.1.8
Excellent game, only missing new game plus
- Michel Brotherhood
I loved this one. it felt like the classic SNES era. I got about 70 hours of play and had a blast.
- Aaron Edgell · v1.1.8
very classic gameplay
- DWray SweZ
I love this game! It's such a great callback to Final Fantasy's roots. I would absolutely love it more if this had gamepad support. I often walk in the wrong direction due to the touch controls.
- Bobby S · v1.1.8
Good game but desperately needs an update allowing controller or gamepad support
- Adam Morrison · v1.1.8
I love the job system, though I wish it came out on a portable system. Battles would be much easier
- Jamal Haygood · v1.1.3
please more like this game
- julio baez · v1.1.7
Great game so far. Like the genre. The final fantasy trademark never lets you down.
- Benjamin marc Smith · v1.1.8
Works again on Android 14 and S24+. Great game, too.
- Simon Schuck · v1.1.8
Overall, it's a great game. My only complaint is that the screen will not rotate if I use my phone on a controller device - slip your phone in. Other than that, the on-screen control is wonky. Would and still do recommend playing
- Terry Chapman Jr · v1.1.8
This is the kind of game square should have been producing since they went mobile.
- Brian Hamilton · v1.1.8
This game is just not good. The fusion abilities are a cool concept, but that's it. This game is nothing but a big grind. Every single town you get to you need to grind almost an hour outside just to get the gold for the new equipment in the town. Also, just when you think you've made some progress you need to go and do it all over again with the other team/party from the other dimension. Its horrible for a final fantasy game. Honestly, the fusion abilities could have just been a blue mage.
- Aaron Johnson · v1.1.8
Fun old school style game. Like the character build system. However, I'm about 35 hours in and in the middle of the Gardenia quest the town and slums just disappeared. I'm now not able to continue the game. Very frustrating and dissappointing. Like I said, it's a fun game and I enjoy it but...
- jesse moffatt · v1.1.8
Would like a PC or console release with controller support.
- Andrew
This game is hard to control as buttons seem wacky. Battle seem, too fast for me. meh, I wish for refunds smh
- Brandi Biddle · v1.1.8
A hidden gem in the Final Fantasy franchise. A must buy for fans of the original six main series games, with gameplay/power-up systems built from FFV and story reminiscent of SNES era games. There are also little references from games up to the PS2 era.
- kaonohiokala09 · v1.1.8
This is a really good game it is hard for me to get into a game but this one has me playing it non stop I love it
- John Amizic · v1.1.8
A true FF. Finished this years ago when it fist came out, glad to see they added cloud save to the game.
- Dan Simon · v1.1.7
Real good
- Robbie Dick
Hard locked glitch in an ice cave, unable to continue in the story without either resetting to an old save or restarting the whole game.
- Paladin Apollo · v1.1.7
If you enjoy final fantasy 1-6, it's an absolute must play.
- A Google user · v1.1.7
Better than I could have imagined from a mobile game. Harkens to the classic FF games that were good and could hold up as a mainline title in the franchise. Docking a star because of the class selection made it hard to be creative with how difficult the game was, even after grinding. Would also be slow if you didn't have a beefy party comp. And another star because FFD2 exists. Why not call it FF Waste of time and money instead of staining a really good game as a terrible gacha BS weaby sequel?
- Steven Pintimalli · v1.1.7
The game really needs controller support in 2024
- Doomlordofdoom · v1.1.6
It's an outstanding final fantasy title with great characters and job system. I don't understand why more people haven't played it. It deserves way more hype.
- Mark · v1.1.7
This is how you do a final fantasy mobile game! None of the gacha stuff that all of the modern ones have. Just raw retro goodness in a return to the style FF5 set up.
- UlvenAspiration · v1.1.7
App is unplayable on s22, comes up with black boxes instead of sprites and just a black screen for the world map. I've reinstalled multiple times over the past year and it has not changed.
- Alexander Munday · v1.1.7
I've been a final fantasy fan since the original. old school nostalgia meets modern tech👍
- Justin Hessel · v1.1.6
