this has become my LoTR RtW replacement - really enjoy the game but admittingly I am a mid-level spender. the disparity between f2p and p2w is ridiculous in terms of pvp (to the point id say dont try just run) but the map is MASSIVE (imo) and has RtW 1.0 pathing style so f2p still has a vital role in pathing and sieging. still think some balancing and kinks can be worked out but still great game so far - in my 2nd reign / campaign

Good game with nice background story that fits the GOT movie. The major issue I have with the game is the reset after a reign, that's an anti-climax!!! You work hard commiting time and resources to build your stronghold, armies and dragons and that all goes to zero after every two months!!! No oooo, empires are meant to be improved on and not just reset all of a sudden. The developers can find a way around this, you can maintain the reign without having players start all over every two months!

I've played other games where most or all of what you've earned is wiped out every few months when a new "season" begins just to keep you grinding. I don't like this model. What I've already earned shouldn't be deleted every few months. Oh, but you can keep this, and this, etc. I need to be keeping everything because I've already earned it! The game is really cool, but there is a lot of waiting if you're FtP. I would rate it up another star if I wouldn't have to log out of the game to log onto many other media services to link accounts. Leaving the game to open a browser to WB, HBO Max, GoTDragonfire, Twitter, X, Facebook, TicToc, Discord, YouTube....etc. is ridiculous for a PVP game. Inputting codes should be done in this game. It leaves so much room for someone to attack players because they earned a promotional reward.

The game is nice and the experience was great too. However you can't really do anything against those groups that pay to win. I'm not talking about 50 bucks. I'm talking about the people who paid over 1000 dollars. The server is control by them, they can kill you with one dragon, drained all your stamina and troops one shot in less then 50 secs. It would be a great idea to have a server only for them. otherwise all the game is just toxic becuase of them. you can't achieve anything really.

I realize you want to make money off of your game. But you will make more money by keeping a long-term player base active, and the only way to do that is by keeping the game competitive. It is simply not competitive or fun with the current pay-to-win playstyle with unlimited microtransactions. You need to limit those and "star-ups" during a singular campaign or campaign phase. Fighting another faction comprised entirely of 7-star dragons on phase 3 of the campaign is unwinnable and not fun.

I absolutely adore this game. Having "Heros" you can upgrade and keep on your counsel is an amazing idea, I love having Daenerys and Rhaenrya on my side. Having 3D dragons that you can view and feed is so much fun, even if Moondancer does not really look like her show variant (all the other dragons are perfectly identical). There are occasional bugs (I have trouble opening the search bar) and people make second accounts to sabotage alliances, but I absolutely love (maxed out) this game anyways.

I am in the middle of season 2 so this is based off that. I am not FTP. Season 1 was good fun. Each faction was competative. Season 1 made me want to spend money to keep playing. Good stuff. Season 2 - MATCHMAKING is HORRIBLE. No way to sugarcoat it. Each faction is lopsided. Not even whales. Just raw player count. They need to fix matchmaking. If S3 is like S2, I will probably quit the game. It isnt fun being outnumbered 5-1. FIX MATCHMAKING

i really like this game a lot, but the things that me and my friend stop playing is that so much time consuming without getting enough fun. imagine you'll travel for an hour and a minute before you reach your destination the enemy is waiting and busted your destination, and that after you gonna travel another hour to return to base/garrison what a waste of time. i wish the developer would lessen the travel time for further location 50-80 %. if that happen we will definitely play again.

Current state of the game is highly tailored for paying players. If your F2P you will get vastly left behind in a manor that will depress you very quickly. The pay wall is vast so even small spenders don't stand a chance against these whales. virtually no content and nothing to do after that. The greed is heavy with this game so take caution. Taking time to think thoroughly and to state it better, I stand by my short "whales ruin the game" but will add more context. WB has no balance to the world that people are on. The world I was associated with had players in the 1.5-2M power while is sat at a 350-400k (depending on tiles I controlled). That said, all the whales would work together to destroy bases and have smaller players have to wait while everything reset, in the same world, in order to keep playing. Gameplay is NOT enjoyable!

This game is very fun and has great mechanics. The graphics are excellent and you feel like you are in Westeros. The game has one colossal issue. The end game is extremely pay to win. I know other reviews are saying the pay to win isn't a big deal, but most likely they haven't played enough into the season. Whales will star up their dragons to 7-8. Sending several thousands of dollars. These dragons are untouchable for the normal player and will instant kill all of your armies.

Was a good game to play with friends, but when it goes to the 2nd season, they WILL send you to different servers/worlds than your friends, and they have removed any way to transfer. So, the recent update just wiped out all game progress. Stronghold, dragon levels, resources, upgrades. Relocated you to a random place on the map and said well here's your new home😃. Kept none of the resources that were already farmed ESPECIALLY dragon food. game is unplayable with friends after the first season. my discord group started playing with the intention of playing together, after season one the server merging randomly splits your group up and takes away the ability to invite your friends back to the server it throws you in. we all had the exact same progress, 1 season in, then the game threw half of us to a server and half to another and locked us in completely butchered our community, do not play this game its a waste of time and money.

You created a truly great game. The graphics are excellent, and the strategic depth is impressive. The amount of work you've put into the characters and the world is incredible. My complaint is with the game's motivation and pacing. How are players supposed to stay engaged when everything is so slow? Because the infrastructure isn't upgraded, troops move unbelievably slowly. You wait 2–3 minutes just for one march. Alliance wars are even worse.

I wanted to enjoy this game at first. I get dragons and can advance them? Cool. But the events move by so fast and the levels of the enemies on the map are tied to the progression of the events. Now I'm sitting here with low level dragons and no way to advance them without paying real money. I enjoy the premise of the game but it's heavily pay 2 win and very imbalanced. You choose 1 of 3 factions to start but if the other factions get all the whales then it's game over after a week. 2 weeks into our campaign and we have lost ¾ of our factions player base. Essentially the game is now unplayable. I'll try again when the new campaign starts but not hopeful that the devs will fix anything.

the game started off strong was having fun being able to create a banner and you had a mercenary option which is what I like playing as then I realized you dropped me into a faction and said hey you picked mercenary but you get no freedom to play as a rogue you have to only play with the faction. really killed the game for me. Playing as a mercenary is all about freedom being able to bounce to whatever alliance you want and doing what you want. really sad this game could of been perfect

Horrible game design as any new server will have players that transfer in and will be so far ahead of you there is nothing you can do but hope you were lucky enough to be in the right faction so they are allies. An entire alliance transferred to our server and have killed all competition. Glad I didnt pull the trigger on buying packs would've been a huge waste of money(more so than normal)

There are huge balance issues between spenders and nonspenders, tactics, techniques, strategies dont work against people who spend hundreds or thousands on there account. The whole server quit because of it. Might as well compare allowable spending limit statements. Total money grab, dont buy it! It is a shame I was really hoping for a good experience, love the world, the dragons, the idea, but this is broken with money-centric business issues. Hope they fix.

People claim it's playable F2P but that's a joke, the campaign store isn't going to provide what's necessary for a maxed out dragon, even if you grind for a year or two. Now, add the fact an army requires 3 dragons and you can have 4 armies active at a time. the events are p2win, and dragon stats are a deciding factor in pvp. It looks F2P at a glance, but once you're in your second season you'll realize how futile it is. it's like any other mobile game, just with a GOT theme.

Early days when server starts fresh the drop rates are high as server progress in a week droops becomes sht, that's there way to make u think game is playable because of good drops until u spend and find out later in game got scammed. And u might think when u play is like this game is so f2p friendly but u will see only thing that matters is not ur stronghold upgrade which is f2p friendly, but dragon upgrades from gaccha, one whale can just steal all ur tiles until u left with no resources.

Was really enjoying the game but the Play to Win is just too ridiculous. I spent loads of time, alliance was doing great. Then we land face to face with an alliance full of Whales. The concept is interesting. I am a fan of the show, and using the dragons as the collectible heroes is a great idea. The game, however, has very little built-in incentive to cooperate within your alliance or your faction, so there were perhaps 40 active PvP players in my faction, making it impossible to organize coherent PvP. The game is also strongly play to win. Dragon upgrading proceeds very slowly if you don't spend money. My experience was a lot of grinding with no real PVP payoff.

The timers for stamina recovery are ridiculous. Total game killer. I'm guessing most players leave when they see they have to wait 5 hours to just be able to move 1 tile again. The game starts very well, there's action, development, rewards and then all of a sudden... you can't do literally anything. It's a complete deflation of the amazing build up it has for the first few levels.

PAINFULLY SLOW. They need more settings to turn down the graphics farther. The humorous thing is, the graphics AREN'T that great anyway. Game play is slow. It's like they tried to make a game to see how many people would quit early. The tutorial is somewhat through cut scenes, which most of the time you skip anyway. So now you're lost. No explanation of most functions. Quests become hard early, so resources become scarce. Lots of waiting. Fighting mechanics are all over the place. Disappointed..

The game is fun and competitive enough, it still has a slight pay to win element in it though. One thing I find perplexing is that when your base is attacked, the only troops that defend are those assigned and saved in an army. Meanwhile my base has 100k troops In the barracks inside my base that were not used to defend it. This makes no sense, did they just sit there and watch?? Common sense would have you thinking they would defend no? Fix this and I'll update my review.

Had progressed and enjoyed it, took a week leave from the game and returned to a completely reset profile. What a waste of time and energy spent. The game's performance is naff, majority of it takes 5-6 minutes to load and when you do, cycling through the games options take ages too. Used both Pixel phone and Chromebook to test this out.

There are far too many bugs in this game to call it good yet. The game crashes within 15 minutes of opening it everytime without fail. Many of the menu buttons also cause extreme lag when pressed. If you could fix the horrible lag in this game, then I would have no other complaints besides the ridiculous pricing on things.
