The game used to be much better and actually require skill and planning. It no longer does. In fact there is so much randomness in the game now that planning is almost pointless. It is nowhere as fun as it once was although still good to pass time at work.

You need to add an option to not get all the popups on the start. im on vacation and cant play because it crashes everytime the season popup opens. Im on a fold 8 so its a completly new phone, makes no sense why you feel the need to add 5 popups every week.

UPDATE: Great job programmers! vastly improved fair gameplay, now back to awful. New update completely nerfed batlleground players. Nothing like being an experienced and skilled player and not being able to progress past a certain level(5000) because I'm playing impossible hands generated by bots. So, yeah, great game. Just be prepared to lose, not against other players, but bots with numerically impossible hands created by the programmers for you to fail.

I think the experience of this game would be significantly better without the multitude of popups that it bombards you with upon logging in. 4 stars if they just removed it. I think the meta of the regular mode has diminished greatly over the years, but I still find fun and decent builds sometimes. I only play battlegrounds anymore.

got a new phone and the game is really great. battle grounds is fun but it's hard to be competitive on mobile. with the start of the new tribe it's really difficult to discard on mobile which makes the new tribe unplayable on mobile

they need to come out with battlegrounds forever, its too much BS and not fun especially with their latest BS type of aberrations witch are in every game. base use to be so much fun but they added way to many variables to the game now trinkets dictate the game, oh you didn't get a good one for what your going your just not going to be competitive at all. they need to rid of all that and truly balance the types instead of rotating witch is wildly dominant.

Pay to win is rampant especially in latest season. Game disconnects constantly at end of games and some card animations make it unfair for mobile players because they take too long and the devs don't care. They drop new cards every 3 months and make them overpowered so you either buy the new packs or the game becomes a miserable unplayable experience. Half of recent meta decks are brain dead strategy wise which reinforces the pay to win model.

I've been playing it since 2013. It used to be alot cheaper then it is right now. Unless blizzard addresses this then I can't recommend it to anyone. I was never a free to play person but I know it was possible before, but with recent changes get ready to schell out the $$$.

Quests and rewards based on Standard play (almost exclusively) to force you into making their game look popular and fun. Only goal is maximum profits with no concern or care for the customers or the quality of the game. Battlegrounds is fun, and needs to be made it's own separate game so it can get a proper rating.

this patch with the deities killed the games uniqueness and unpredictability. This Was A Bad Move Because All Other Classes Seem Irrelevant. Great game from a mechanics point of view. Also great on pc. BUT The "battlegrounds" gamemode desperately needs a separate app. Animation times and controls prohibit serious high level play or apm builds. The standard gamemode bloats the game files.

I am unable to get updated for game. Have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Still not working for pixel phone. Tried on iPad also. When connected to wifi say needs update than re routes to play store. When not using wifi on mobile data it ask if I want to download the update but don't want to use my mobile data. Tried to come back after not playing for a few years. They say the match system is suppose to be easy but im literally in bronze fighting people with gold hero powers (aka they've won 200+ matches with that character). Its not fun for beginners/returner. They dont offer any tutorials for how decks work when you first come back.

Used to be a game. Now you might as well be a spectator. Winrate is decided by who goes first. 80% of turns play themselves. Every deck plays the exact same game plan since they made hand management and board clears irrelevant while making every board incredibly sticky with unlimited reload. Only good part is battlegrounds which is borderline unplayable on mobile.

After 13 years of playing this game, I am fully done with it. The powercreep, the griefing, the inability to play even slightly outside of the meta - Hearthstone is not worth it. I remember when the game came out and it was marketed as a casual-friendly experience that was meant to be fun for everyone at any level. That is not the case anymore. Blizzard has turned into a hyper-competitive game where creativity is discouraged in every way. I'm done with it and I'm not coming back.

While this game on the surface SEEMS nice & fun, be prepared for a game full of glitches, bugs, bad so called "Random" effects & results. The game has non-existent balance, & to make matters worse, any progress requires an obscene amount of time, micro-transactions or just plain copying every other brainless "Auto-Win" strategy that everyone else is also using. Reviewing the app - it's okay, though too focused on flashy graphics and animations, which are slow and negatively impact the gameplay. Client-server coherence is very poor, and the network interface is fragile. e.g. switching from cellular data to wifi will cause a meltdown and a game loss, and you'll need to restart, which seems to take way too long. The game itself - well that's pretty good, but not the subject of the review.

Unplayable due to lag. The opponent's animations take so long your turn is over before they end. Good modes got removed, other players are mainly there to annoy people and not actually play, there are nerfed cards that are still OP, updates made it too big for many smart devices, there is always an event ongoing and the requirements for the quests are ridiculous to fulfill in a timely manner. That and the recently added in-game currency make this formerly quite fun game nothing but a cash grab.

I have played this game for over 10 years and I have played through some troubling times with it, but the game just keeps getting worse. The developers either seem intent on making the game a shadow of its former self, or are utterly incompetent. Communication from them is sparse and seems entirely unaware of community sentiments and it is insane the kinds of issues the game has that they will do nothing about. Interested in starting new or returning to this game, do yourself a favor and don't.
