In the gift of goat quest, I’m stuck. It won’t let me exit out. It won’t let me claim anything. It won’t let me do anything. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it doesn’t work. Please fix this issue. I would love to continue playing this game.

everything was going great. now I'm stuck in a bug loop. i expanded my capital before a quest told me to expand 3 times, and it forces you to go to the quest. however, I couldn't finish building but the quest shows as complete. I've closed the game and tried to go back in but it forces the same loop. can't close out of quest screen or interact with any objects. such a shame, game appears great and has a different world building mechanic.

Glitch That Prevents Progression

I downloaded the game and progressed for a bit. I unlocked some land and when I completed my quest my next one was “Claim three land” however I already did that. So I went to click claim however it wasn’t working, so I clicked x but that also wasn’t working. The game froze for whatever reason. I decided to delete the game and reinstall it since I only had 30 minutes of progress, however when I reinstalled the game, it forced me back to where I was. All of the buttons were gone (Because it was a forced quest) so I couldn’t click my account and wipe out my data. So I thought “Why not wipe the data from settings?” But I found out you also couldn’t do that since they save your progress on their servers. So now I’m stumped and I don’t have an idea on how to claim the quest or replay. If this glitch could be fixed I’ll appreciate it a bunch.

Best game if you like historical figures

This is the best game. I really like some of the characters in it. Like William Wallace, but there’s one person I want in the game the legendary man himself Teddy Roosevelt if you add him, I will be so thankful. I don’t wanna ask for much but if you do eventually add him, I wish to be the first person to have him in game.

One of the few games I’ve actually spent money on

Unfortunately, less than an hour later, I ran into a glitch that made the game unplayable. It wouldn’t let me do anything but start a new quest to expand the city, but then it wouldn’t let me collect rewards for completing the quest and move on. I even deleted and reinstalled and the same thing happened. I only spent $3 so it’s not a loss. Just frustrating.

Great visuals and fun historical heroes, but long-term gameplay has issues. City building feels repetitive - each era just recycles the same basic upgrades. Upgrading heroes past level 40 requires endless Tesla farming, which gets tedious fast. Opening the game triggers too many pop-up sales, and progress is heavily tied to guild activity. Fun for a few weeks, but turns into a repetitive grind.

my tip for someone starting out new : - hero points can be had via energy/lightning, I.e if you struggle in the campaign just level up attacker, healer, range until you are strong enough - tesla campaign, make sure you train up the attackers first in respective color, then healer, then range - build smartly, ground needs to be cleared and sone buildings are huge. - ability levelling is super important

Wrong direction

Finally deleted this game after many years of playing. I really enjoyed growing my kingdom, upgrading my heroes and buildings at MY own pace. Sadly this game is becoming like so many others, another typical multiplayer game. Where it’s more pay to win, other random players will soon be able to attack your kingdom, global chat will start, and overall toxicity will begin. I have seen this with other games and now can see the signs. We had a good run guys. See ya.

Absolutely unplayable

I've been playing this game for over a year, and it's incredibly hostile to players, especially new players. All events favor high-level players, and spending large sums of money won't help you. In the Battle of Atlantis, all the strong (old) alliances and top-tier players engage in fixed battles; new alliances and players are their fodder. The whole point of this game is to constantly inject new players with fodder to support the existing players who have invested heavily in the game. New players have zero chance of making it. This isn't a game; it's a farm for killing new players for your money.

It’s a trap!

I’m sure this game was fun to play by the year old comments. Where are the current reviews? Can I expect mine to be tucked way back in the review basement too? I started off really liking this game. It was definitely different from many of the grind and forced to join a clan games. I’ve made it to the next level, the Bronze Age. Now I’m stuck. I can’t level any buildings because I need credits and gems to research I order to level buildings. Credits are no problem. They designed the game to where you have to spend money to get gems. The first age you could earn gems. The Bronze Age you can’t. I’ve looked at everything, but no luck finding a way to earn free gems. So now I can’t advance in the game. I’m not going to keep buying gems just to climb the research stages. I spend money on these mobile games all the time, but not going to in this one. Not like this, forcible in order to advance. GAME DELETED.

Repetitive cash grab

Real review/hopeful wishing

I have honestly left very few reviews in my many years of just mobile games but in light of all these games dying I’d like to leave ones for the games that mean something to me, I have always enjoyed this game from even its predecessor and I’m even exited to drop a quick buck here and there to help support the game but here’s hoping they listen to fans as I wish there was a way to unlock king Agamemnon right along side king Odysseus or maybe even more depth in the Viking department, but either way in terms of game itself the gameplay is quite fresh and I’ve never had a problem sitting on this game for hours so if your looking for a historical character game, this is the one for you(if you read this long heck yeah)

Great game

This game is great. The main quest and side quests and events keep the game interesting. I would love to see hero’s of the Christian faith added to the game. A 5 star apostle Paul and apostle Peter and John the Baptist. 4 star Timothy 4 star Aquila and Priscilla. Martin Luther and John Calvin would also be great additions to the game. Please consider these! A Christian first century AD Jerusalem event would be amazing!

A Flawed Game

I would have given this game 5* but recent changes are telltale signs of how greedy and rigged the mechanics have become. Let’s start with greedy. There are now two tiers to the monthly pass, not one but two. And paying for the Legendary top tier does not include getting the Epic pay tier just below it, but you wouldn’t know this until you actually paid the exorbitant price for the Legendary pass only to realize that that is all you get. As far as rigged mechanics go, I’m referring to the terribly unfair and unbalanced Atlantis Event. Four alliances face off in a week-long battle to control a map of Atlantis. How the alliances are matched is determined by tallying secret ELO scores for each player in the alliance. The secret ELO is supposedly not based on a player’s power which is probably true - because the game has low power teams facing off against teams which are 5x stronger! I kid you not. Imagine trying your best only to be bullied around the map by a team which is 4-5x more powerful than you! This week my alliance, with an average squad power of 15k is facing an alliance with an average squad power of 60k! And they have at least 8 active members and we have 10. 10x15 = 150 vs 8x60 = 480. I bet you can guess who’s winning… Now how could we be matched up so unfairly one might ask? Probably because we’ve had to spend GEMS in order to remain competitive in all our matches against increasingly overpowered opponents. That’s why the ELO is secret, because $$$ spent are in the algorithm. Which brings us full circle back to greed. They’ve taken an event that should be fun and competitive and turned it into an experience that is a) completely frustrating, b) relatively unrewarding (I forgot to mention that personal rewards in the Atlantis event top off at a ridiculously low level) and c) a vicious cycle because the better you do today, the crazier the unfairness will be in your next match. When the player is disincentivized to actually play, the developer needs to seriously rethink their strategy. I would further suggest that the developer actually play the event in real time for a week rather than letting the AI run off a hundred thousand simulated matches. There’s a difference between how effectively 10 real people in different time zones can coordinate their gameplay over a full week versus how the AI can seamlessly coordinate the gameplay of 10 simulated players in the blink of an eye.

Fun Collector Game

So far there are many historical characters to unlock. You do get a couple cool ones throughout the campaign. Not sure how crazy or heavy of PvP there is but that aside you get to build your base, train characters, and also search for resources. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a more casual collector game!

Unethical Business Practices

This game was okay, despite being heavily pay to win. However, this latest event is either a massive screw up by the developers, or a straight attempt to screw over the players. All previous allied culture cities you could obtain level 25-35 as F2P. The last event where they released a 5* hero from the level 40 reward had the same difficulty as all other allied cultures, and level 40 could be obtained with about $25 spent. In this new allied culture event, F2P can maybe reach level 20, though 18 is more likely. $100 spent will get you to about level 25, while getting to level 40 would take upwards of $500. Players calculated the math required to reach level 40. Even buying all premium buildings and expansions ($500 worth of purchases), it is still highly unlikely you could reach level 40 through the base game mechanics. You would need to spend additional money buying gems in order to directly buy the materials you’re short. The company’s response to creating an event, with no indication that it would be 20x more expensive than all previous events, was “build better.” Update: After massive outcry from the players, and evidence that it was nearly impossible to obtain the rewards, the company decided to give out the level 40 fragment to everyone. This is a nice gesture, but doesn’t change the fact that people that spent hundreds of dollars supporting this company weren’t reimbursed for their wasted money. I’m only changing my rating to 2 stars because I didn’t spend hundreds of dollars, but I estimate I lost about $40 worth of gems on this event, with nothing to show for it.

The special event, Ithaca, was not just badly designed, it was designed to the point where I don’t think anybody did the math to check on probabilities. It was so badly designed an apology email got sent out saying the key prize would be credited to all who made level 3 instead of 40. What hasn’t been addressed is those of us who spent tons trying to make the event work. That needs to be credited as well.

Honest review. I love this gatcha game. Yep, gatcha. If you can control your spending and just enjoy the game mechanics, this is fun. There are p2w components. There are NO mechanisms where you can lose resources via PvP. Just have fun. Join an alliance. Build relationships.

The primary game of this type that I play (Evony) is currently so riddled with glitches that it can’t be played so I’m looking for a new one. Being a history buff I was prepared to love this but after several days I’m underwhelmed by it. The interface is somewhat clunky and the play itself is repetitive rather than engaging. Inno Listened!

The new Ithaca event was completely broken and even spenders cannot complete the goal. Inno listened to the very loud feedback in social channels and made things right, and say they will work to prevent things like happening going forward. If so then kudos to them for keeping the game fresh and interesting!

I've played this game religiously for almost a year. Every update is under-tested but the current Ithaca Allied Culture event is straight up theft. Unfortunately the game direction at time of Scylla / Ithaka is just too greedy and not considerate of the players. The game needs the players, not the other way around. Making odysseus awakening at a reasonable difficulty / investment will not kill the game economy. Everyone that wants him will still need to buy the starter pack. But to expect people to buy pack + thousands of gems on lux buildings is just insane. On top of bugs which would be easily caught in testing, without any compensation.
