Great game but…..
I really enjoy this game. It’s fun and challenging. However, I was absolutely disgusted to see an ad for a hunting game! I am deleting your game for sponsoring such trash and will let everyone I know to delete it also. Most ads are annoying but bloody shooting animals is disgraceful!

Fun to Play - Way Too Expensive
This is a great game to play but it’s a bit of a scam with in game purchases. Also,
it keeps crashing in the middle of levels. If you’ve used drills or hammers or bombs to make progress, you lose it all if the game crashes in the middle of a level which has been every 7-8 games from my experience.

Insanely long ads
Game is fine. Ads are insanely long. A 3 minute ad and that was before you had to click through 4 screens to actually exit. That’s greed pure and simple. I don’t begrudge your earning income, but completely unnecessary. I’m out.

Annoying and LONG Ads
Fun game, enjoy playing but the ads after EVERY level that are, on average, about a minute or more, are so annoying and ridiculous. And then after waiting for the ad the finish, you have to go through several screens just to get back to the game after getting the reward. It’s absolutely overkill and frustrating. I’m considering deleting at this point. (I know there is an option to pay for a ‘no ad’ game)

I just watched a 2 minute ad.. ??!! Every single ad placed in the app is 1 minute long, and when you need more moves and don’t want to spend money you end up wasting several minutes of your time for a simple couple of moves. Unacceptable .

Love the game hate the ads
The game is fun and challenging but the ads are so long it’s ridiculous.
It would be nice if you could replay games without messing up stuff. My grandkids like to play but they are younger and it’s harder for them to figure things out.

Really enjoyed this game. Got to level 1000+
Today things changed.
Ads began to pop up and they would not go away. They froze my device.
Had to power off my device to get them to release my device.
After the third time, I deleted this game. The actions of these Ads made me very uncomfortable.
It’s too bad. I did enjoy this game.
However I am unwilling to have my device frozen by the Ads a game chooses to use.
Am looking for another game that has more user-friendly ads.

Sucks you in and spits you out
It was fun at first, but then every power up had to be paid for with no option of watching an ad. Winning or moving up in special events barely gets you anything once you get to a certain level, and the number of moves aren’t enough to finish. So enjoy it until you don’t.

Great Game but beware of the ads!
This is a fun, challenging game and I understand that the ads keep you guys developing but this game is ridiculous. Many of the ads make you play, and then they freeze so you have to exit and lose your progress. This is definitely a bug that needs to be fixed.

Pharmacy drug ads freeze have to close the app
The pharmacy drug ads freeze every time now. I have to close the app down and restart loosing my used boosters and loosing my place in the streak. This is constant and needs to be fixed. Hopefully the developers read this and all the other comments soon. Very frustrating.

Ad time got better for a day then got worse
I’m moving back to 1 star. The ads are ridiculous. Most ads start with a video and 30-ish seconds later an “X” or an arrow shows up, you press it and think, Aha! I get to play now. Nope. You get another screen with a list of features, wait for 15-30 seconds. Then an “X” or an arrow shows up, you press it and think, Aha! I get to play now. Nope. Another screen shows up, and you wait, and wait, then another arrow shows up, and nope, no game yet. This can sometimes go on for 5 different screens. As if I need 5 different screens to convince me. It really just annoys me and makes me determined to never click on an ad because they’re mostly spam anyway. So sad.
Previous review:
I purchased the game for $10. However, In order to move on to the next level sometimes you need extra moves and you can either use the coins you’ve collected or watch ads. I don’t mind watching ads but these ads are sometimes 2-3 minutes long. I’ve purchased other games that require watching ads if you don’t have enough coins or options to move to the next level, but they are never more than a minute, usually 30 seconds.
Often, in the middle of an ad it freezes and the screen goes black. Then I have to restart the game and I lose all my progress toward earning coins or other items.
Also, if I have to go to another screen, or just leave and come back, the game restarts and I lose my progress. When the game reopens I have to play that level all over again and I lose whatever coins or other helpers I’ve used to that point.
I’ve emailed support but no one answers.
I’m considering deleting the game it’s so frustrating.

The game freezes up too often
This game is fun, but also frustrating. I constantly watch ads to get another free move. 90% of the time, after I’ve watched several ads and I have one move left to finish the game, the app freezes up and I have to start that level all over again. Also, when this happens, I lose any of the tools that I have used on that level. I basically wasted those tools because the game froze and I had to start all over.

New Update with mini ad
I paid for the no ads version. The new update shows an ad for the game itself for five seconds after each level is completed. There used to be no such ad before. So if you’re playing 10, 20, 30 or more levels at one go, it’s wasting minutes of your time. What’s the point of paying for ad-free?

Freezing Ads
The developers need to do away with the ads for cleaning your phone, they constantly freeze up, resulting in 9 times out of 10 causing the player to have to reboot their phones and start over on the level, which results in loosing level progress and any progress made in special events.
Once again certain ads are causing the game to freeze.
I am tired of having to restart my device, loosing the money I have spent,etc.
It would be nice to be put back into the most current level without losing anything.
Almost to the point of deleting the game.

Fun but ultimately too glitchy
It’s what you’ve heard already. A fun game in concept. But waaayyyy too many tech glitches that ruin your play. The ads are uber ridiculously long: 1 full minute each to watch a video and then the wrap up. Watching ads are necessary to win a level. Most games are impossible without paid or earned cheats. Also extremely repetitive. Hard to say it’s worth it.

Ads are TOO LONG
I like the game but many ads are a minute long and some won’t let you exit from the ad. Screwdom ad had my phone STUCK, it wouldn’t exit out no matter how many times i got the “x” in the corner. I also hate when you click “not interested” and that same ad appears again. The ads should be no more than 15 seconds. Because if you’re doing any of the timed races you lose so much time watching ads that you end up last place. “The Farmers Dog” keeps freezing and glitching my phone. I hit the X but I cannot get out of the ad a lot of times it just stays there it sticks and then my phone blacked out and it’s mostly with that ad.

Challenging Game Enjoyable

I like the game and don’t mind ads but often times the ads freeze and you have to close the app and start all over again and lose progress on your game. I would pay for the no ads but the ads that freeze are the ones you use to get an extra turn even you are short. No way around them unless you are an expert and play a perfect game. Fun game once you pay to remove ads- HOWEVER, be aware that levels start repeating. I don’t remember exactly when it started, but at some point there were no new levels and you just repeat a handful over and over. It’s not even a repeat of all the levels, just some of them. Pretty frustrating that I paid to remove ads. If I had known about the repeating levels I wouldn’t have paid for it.

Great Game, Two Suggestions
I love the game and the strategy involved. I would love to see leftover moves from a level carried over to the next. Not enough moves
It was very fun to begin with but then I started to notice that there wasn’t enough moves to complete the levels. Leaving you with just 3 or 4 arrows left most of the time and having to watch 3 ads just to complete the level or spend 1000 coins for 5 moves. Once this started happening I deleted the game.

Repeating levels

Enjoyed But No More
I really enjoyed play Hexa Away. I used to play it everyday. It was fun and relaxing. I am on level 80 and it’s just gotten too tedious, or maybe difficult is a better word. Between the fixed tiles that only push the Hexas a certain way to the three prong spinning tiles that use a move just to spin them, I no longer enjoy the game unfortunately. I even liked the way to spend 500 coins to change the look of the tiles along with the races and such. But, if I cannot even finish one level that I’ve been stuck in for days, I don’t see any reason to keep playing the game. Especially since you only get one move after watching a whole Ad. There’s also no place to come and rate the game so I had to manually go to the App Store and look the game up to write this.
Thanks for the fun while it lasted. I am deleting the app after I submit this.

Fun but..
The game has a ton of ads which made me want to buy the add free. It’s $9.99 which is a bit pricey but it’s permanent so it’s up to you. The downside is the imbalance to the amount of moves you get to make per round. Some levels you have to get everything exactly correct the first time and some you quite literally have less moves than pieces so you have to either use power ups, watch an ad, or use your coins to get more moves. The game is pretty mid overall otherwise.

Do you guys remember flow
I miss getting to play difficult levels before the game introduces inoptional nonsense like spinning blades. I just want to solve a giant hexagon arrow puzzle and i am not allowed. I play through the entire interactive ad until it wont let me move anymore tiles instead of trying to play to game now. It is insane that the game i want to play exists readily in the form of a 60 second advertisement and yet remains inaccessible to me. You have incurred a tantalian torture upon me and i take it as the insult it is.

Absolutely loved the game itself but the ads made me finally delete it.
I probably spent 10 min of watching ads for every 5 min of game play. And that’s being generous. Some of the ads were OVER 60 seconds long.

Not bad with minor complaints
This is a fun game with challenging levels. I haven’t had the problems with ads interrupting gameplay that others have mentioned. When there are ads, they seem a little long though. Only two complaints: one, the sound effects are a little chintzy—I just play without sound. Two, with games like these, I feel like there’s an unspoken understanding that all levels can be completed without using any special items. And that seems to be mostly true here: the vast majority of levels can be beaten without using items. But I’ve run into (so far) three levels that are impossible without using items. Not bad at over 800 levels played so far, but still: I kinda wish all levels could (at least theoretically) be beaten without special items.

I got to level 50 because it was fun and satisfying, but the number of ads is absurd. It shows an ad on every level and every retry. When you run out of moves (which happens often) you have to watch a long ad. $10 for no ads is shameless especially when still you need to watch ads to finish levels anyway

To many ads!!
It’s a great game but nobody wants to see a ton of adds you have to wait until you can continue. I’m used to playing one game and I go back later. To many other great games out there that are add free and free!

Way too many ads!!
This is a fun game, however the need to sit through an ad after each level is absolutely absurd. This game tries to force you into paying to remove ads which is crazy. Ive even said “no thank you” to so my disinterest in certain advertised games but it doesn’t matter as they just keep popping up. So why even ask? It only infuriates me more. I’ve gotten to level 70 but I just can’t take it anymore and am going to delete. Too bad.

Too many ads
I really like this game a lot. It is relaxing AND challenging at the higher levels. But you generally don’t have enough moves to complete the level, unless you make zero wrong moves, and you have to watch an ad to get only ONE more move. So if you need a few moves to complete a level, you end up watching 5 minutes of ads for about 3 seconds of play. I would gladly pay a one-time purchase fee to get rid of the ads. Or, at the very least, if they could give you TWO extra moves per ad watched, that would cut the frustration a little bit. As much as I like the game, I am considering deleting it because of all the wasted time on ads that interrupt the game play.

Downgraded extra move booster devalues the game
This is a very fun game, but I don’t think I can keep playing it. It used to be that if you ran out of moves on a a level, you could watch an ad to get 5 more moves, but I just updated to the recent version and they downgraded the booster to only provide 1 extra move. This game is already clunky with the sheer volume of ads (ads after every level, ads for only 10 minutes of power boost, ads to play races), that this 5x downgrade to the extra moves pushes it over the edge. I’ve played this game for hours every day months now, and I think today is the day I stop. I have loved Hexa Away, but they clearly don’t love their players back, as this comes across as a money grab to me. There are other versions of this game from different development teams, so I suggest players start looking elsewhere.
