fun game so far, kinda short tho. Also the gameplay is basically identical from minute one to minute done, maybe there should be some multipliers or power ups to spice things up?
- charles santo · v1.1.2
its not worth the money, but if you have a couple quid to spend, its very very good for what it is. good gameplay. sleek design. perfect airport game imo.
- gaarabae
Progression is too short and the infinite final level quickly becomes extremely difficult to advance, eventually becoming impossible. I did enjoy the Warcraft and Red Alert quotes when tapping on the mole at the bottom of the screen. I also enjoy the cries of alarm over those quotes here in the reviews.
- StudleyDuderight · v1.1.2
it's overall a great game, but the climax in difficulty from the second to last level to the very last level is exponential. it would be much better if there were at least a couple of levels in between
- Hannah Roberts · v1.1.2
so peak better than other brickbreakers it just pisses me off that the gem counter in the bottom left updates before the little gem animation hits the counter you should add that you can't fully upgrade everything immediately so you're discouraged from grinding early for everything
- Jasper Clark · v1.1.2
Nice concept on top of a classical - but so much missed potential. Power ups are basically just "have some more balls", and with a whopping total of 5 levels the potential for replayability is basically zero. The Level's layouts are completely random and many are basically impossible and just down to luck. Good enough for a free game, really not good enough for a paid one
- Piero FilippIN · v1.1.2
Meh. It's a fun game with fun mechanics, but it's extremely short, and when you get to the infinite level, there's no real perspective left, as you already got all the upgrades, and it just gets boring. When you get to 1K, you get a cute little badge, and it's basically game over.
- Timmy · v1.1.2
Fun, simple and smooth.

- Gavin Visser · v1.1.2
Very fun, perfect for spending time during work breaks.
- Anita “Nia” Simon · v1.1.2
simple, good game with no ads or upsell gimmicks. I redownload and play through every couple years.
- Ryan Herbison
Enjoyable game, but WAY too short for the cost.
- Poki Imane · v1.1.2
What depth? A bunch of generic and super simple upgrades? There is no depth here.
- Chr. H. · v1.1.2
simple but fun game. my only complaint is that I have trouble to stop playing ☺️
- Lukas · v1.1.2
This game is well polished in terms of look and sound, it's fun! But it's really short for the price, and gets a little repetitive near the end. It could do with an expansion of levels and features, especially since the developers have already sold $300.000+ worth of this game.
- Jan-Willem van der Linden · v1.1.2
The game is good mechanically. It leans too much on intrinsic motivation for depth chasing (at least early on). The hard crystal limit incentivizes failing levels to quickly gain more crystals. Either remove the crystal limit and introduce additional gameplay balances. Or add a small multiplier based on depth for crystal acquisition. Easy fix.
- William Moes · v1.1.2
Super fun. Starts easy...
- George Woods · v1.1.2
I love the music and sound design. The game is pretty simple but engrossing.
- Matthew Steele · v1.1.2
Probably the cutest, simplest game is have played on this app store. nothing crazy or too hard, just good, enjoyable fun. Worth the download and the play. Worth 5 stars. Bravo.
- ItssLimax · v1.1.2
sadly one of the worst ricochet physics I've ever dealt with in a game purely about ricochets. No consistency, no mathematical sense. on top of that, very shallow upgrade system, and no interesting mechanics introduced, ball just go bounce, in every level, just make number bigger. i'd strongly urge the dev to study up a bit on how the physics if their next physics based game actually work and how to implement it properly, just as a start.
- Dar M. · v1.1.2
Beautifully polished. A delightful example of everything a mobile game should be.
- Jeff Neet · v1.1.2
breaking blocks is so common. breaking rounded blocks is a new experience with different tricks. wish it has more meta gameplay or more stages. good new sub-gameplay, well polished with cute visuals.
- Dien Wong
Fun gameplay but the inability to quit when you are at maximum crystals feels frustratingly implemented. (at the start you can only store 2 meta currency and you have 30 shots - if you get those 2 crystals in your first 3 shots, you have to waste 27 shots to get back to the base which is infuriating for early game since that's your main source of progress)
- P Murphy · v1.1.2
Hands down the best game I've played with access to Play Pass haha It's a very simple brick-breaking game with cute graphics and fun upgrades. it didn't take long for me to start enjoying AND start feeling challenged. I've unlocked all the upgrades and endless mode, and that'll likely be the end of my interactions with the game, but it was an absolute blast while it lasted. My only recommendation would be an increase of the font size in the upgrades menu.
- Carissa Nicole Faye “Bread” Fernandez · v1.1.2
I really enjoy Holedown and the core gameplay is genuinely fun and well designed. However, once you reach the Blackmore there’s no real sense of progression anymore. You keep earning crystals but there’s nothing left to spend them on, which makes it feel a bit pointless. It would be great to have something extra to work towards, like new or fancy ball types or additional upgrades. Especially considering this is a paid app, the lack of late-game content is disappointing.
- Martin Mborah · v1.1.2
Holedown is a ball-bouncing good time. I just reinstalled it because Ball×Pit reminded me of it, and it's still great.
- Clement Cherlin · v1.1.2
A well designed brick breaker with good sound feedback.
- Mcenroe Mascrenhas · v1.1.2
Holedown is a very fun and addicting game with great graphics and game play! Highly recommend and beats all other ball-shooter type games. My only gripe is that it needs more levels. for a paid game, you'd expect a little more.
- Dan Broughton · v1.1.2
The game is alright, it's fun but I do agree that it sometimes feels a bit random how they suddenly hit an angle where they bounce back up perfectly, but that alone is no reason for 3 stars. The reason for that is the simple fact that it's just not that much content, I don't see how this amount of gameplay justifies a/the price tag.
- Bonhead
Very addicting. Originally was going to be 3 or 4 stars due to the lack of a retry or quit option, and it feels like the most time efficient way to grind crystals is to mindlessly spam the first level. These turned out to be temporary issues as now that I have everything unlocked, I can't stop playing the endless mode. It's rare to find a proper endless arcade-style game like this on the playstore that is properly polished. I highly recommend giving it a try, and a must try for Play Pass.
- Justin · v1.1.2
I'm addicted! it's so much fun!!
- Emily B. · v1.1.2
pretty fun and simple. close to a 5 than a 4 needs more mechanics like power ups etc to keep it interesting. only 4 limited levels felt very short and it got repetitive after I upgraded everything
- Abhijit Hota
not worth the money, after you unlock endless mode and the small quantity of upgrades, the game gets quickly boring
- Adam Khan
very quick to get to the last level.
- Stefan Eriksson
pretty fun game. nothing too complicated. easy to play for a bit to pass some time. no in app transactions. 5 stars.
- Bran L · v1.1.2
Game isn't good. Nothing behaves like you except. Can't quit a game once you start, even if you're in an unwinnable situation. Shots ricochet in ridiculous, unintuitive patterns. One time shots bounce as you expect, another time it will simply make you mad. The "challenge" comes from remaining sane while the game does whatever, and then you lose. Winning feels like a lottery. Programmed decently, no game breaking bugs. I'll rate the experience I'll-never-get-my-time-back out of 10.
- Nikita Eremeev · v1.1.2
gets boring fast
- Slugcat · v1.1.2
more levels needed
- Jay Bay
I've played through it multiple times over the years. Super fun little mobile game!
- Blaine Andrews · v1.1.2
I liked having many different levels and watching them go from challenging or feeling impossible to beating them with ease after upgrades. I wish that there were more upgrades after beating all the levels because the endless one at the end feels like I keep getting stuck at the same place and I can't do anything to beat my record. Obviously I know it had to end at some point but it keeps me from clicking back to this game vs similar ones.
- Jill · v1.1.2
Loved this game when it worked but now it won't install? (my review does not reflect this)
- Tony Go · v1.1.2
superb game to spend wait time
- sachin R · v1.1.2
incredibly fun and satisfying. only gripe is not being able to quit a game in the middle of it (especially if I accidentally hit new game instead of going to the shop). I wish there were more upgrades like explosives balls. maybe different shape types that require special balls or something. Rooting for a holedown 2!
- Adam LaPrade · v1.1.2
amazing game but needs more. after fully upgrading you can just collect the crystals and do nothing with them. would love if revive could be bought on the black hole level
- Alexandra Drainville · v1.1.2
This game is cool, but 3.99€ is too much for the content it offers, there are 5 levels and the the "endless" one, so 6 in total it's too little for the price, I got it with the Play Subscription, but if I have paid the price for it I will no be pleased for the little content it has, other than that solid fun game, if the price was like 1.5€ or 2€ tops I could give it more stars.
- Newtomic · v1.1.2
This game is genuinely quite addicting, in the best possible way. The progression is nice, the payoff is just as good, and the post-Sun experience is absolutely amazing for long trips. Just one problem that holds back the 5th star: I can't lock it in landscape mode. I know it'd probably be optimal to play it in Portrait, but as a mainly tablet user who treats Landscape like a son, it's painful to not have that option to lock it in Landscape. If you could add this, it'd be the light of my day.
- Chandelure F-5 · v1.1.2
Fantastic game! Love how simply yet progressive it is. Looking to clear 1st planet soon.
- Lucas Wind · v1.1.0
lazy
- Byron Samonte · v1.1.0
very satisfying and fun. not sure if it's worth the price tag though. got it from google play pass
- Justin Chuwardi · v1.1.0
This is a really fun game, but I have ONE SMALL gripe: After upgrading everything there's no need for crystals, yet we still have to watch the whole counting process at the end of a level. I like to go back and try to beat my scores on them, but having to go through the whole ritual at the end gets really repetitive and is completely unnecessary. Is there ANY way to include a skip function or turn it off?
