About

Nineteen lines by nineteen—each stone, a world entire. Amid the din and dust of mortal life, seek out a tranquil board. Its three hundred sixty‑one crossings are the universe in miniature; its twin hues of black and white, the ceaseless interplay of yin and yang. Go is no mere contest of triumph or defeat—it is a discipline of the soul. A move made once and never regretted: that is the wisdom of relinquishment; the flowing stream that strives not to outrun its fellows: that is the serenity of accord with nature. Here, you may hold discourse with the sages of antiquity, and come to terms with the self you are today. Upon this modest wooden plane, you shall behold the very acme of Eastern beauty. Upon the grain of the board, we pursue the Way—and in stillness, we await your coming.
