About

Short stories at AVI Start reading level for beginning readers in group 3.

Short stories at AVI Start level, designed for children who are just learning to read. The words are short and pronounced exactly as they are written. Your child can get started on their own right away. For whom: Beginning readers in Group 3 who have just started "segmenting and blending." The wagons increase in difficulty, allowing your child to progress at their own pace. How the app works: The stories are contained in train wagons. Wagon 1 starts very simply — one word per page. After each story, the app asks two questions, which are answered by tapping on a picture. Both correct? Then the next wagon is unlocked. The text is touchable. Is your child having trouble with a word? Tap on the word and hear how it sounds. This allows your child to continue practicing independently. What your child practices: • Reading words with phonetically pure letters. • Understanding short sentences. • Reading stories at AVI Start level. • Answering questions about what has been read (reading comprehension). Why parents choose Juf Jannie: • One-time purchase — no subscription, no ads. • Works offline, on tablet and phone. • Safe for children, no connection to social media. • Created by a former teacher, aligns with primary school curriculum. About Juf Jannie Juf Jannie creates educational apps for children that align with primary school subject matter. The exercises are the same as those children receive at school, but your child practices through play and immediately hears what is going well and what could be improved. Learning through play is central. Also check out our other Juf Jannie apps for toddlers, preschoolers, and groups 1 through 6 in the Play Store.
