The original Lifeline took the App Store by storm, reaching #1 Top Paid Game on iPhone and Apple Watch in 55 countries. Its compelling mix of real-time storytelling and Dave Justus’s suspenseful writing continues to capture the imaginations of countless players worldwide. Lifeline: Bloodline raises the bar with a new story almost twice as long as the original, with many more choices and paths to explore. The second story in the Lifeline series connects you with Arika, a young woman on a deadly quest to avenge her parents and rescue her long-lost brother. Your choices will keep her alive and help her succeed as she faces mortal danger on her way to a final, fateful showdown against the forces that threaten all of humanity. Lifeline stories play out in real time. As Arika travels to complete her quest, notifications deliver new messages throughout your day. Keep up as they come in, or catch up later when you’re free. You can even respond to Arika directly from your Apple Watch or your iPhone lock screen, without launching into the app on your phone. After completing any story branch, you can rewind to earlier parts of the story, or speed through parts you’ve already read. See what happens when you make a different choice: will you guide Arika virtuously, or cut corners to gain an edge? Seemingly simple actions can deeply affect the outcome. Arika’s story, and the fate of the world, depend on your judgment. You will face the consequences together, because Arika is relying on YOU. Lifeline: Bloodline features no in-app purchases and no ads. An Internet connection is not required. Praise for the original Lifeline: “[A] surprising iPhone and Apple Watch bestseller is pushing the boundaries of fiction” - boingboing.net “This is the best game on the Apple Watch” - Time.com “I’ve played many games that I find engrossing, but Lifeline may be one of the first that changed the way I thought about my daily routine, which leapt off the screen and became a part of my lived experience.” - Eli Cymet, Gamezebo “For a few brief hours I cared – really cared – about the fate of a completely fictional character. I don’t think any other game I’ve played has made me feel that way before.” - Matt Thrower, PocketGamer Lifeline: Bloodline was created by: Dave Justus Matthew Sturges Colin Liotta Dan Selleck Mars Jokela Benjamin Ellebracht Original music composed by Norman Fairbanks.

Hello, I really enjoy this game and haven’t finished it yet, but I would like to. I finished a couple of endings, however, with the latest update, the music doesn’t seem to be working. I will turn it on and it will stay on until I make a choice and once I make that choice, the music will turn off, and I will have to go back into the menu and turn it back on. It gets kind of tedious if you can fix this, that would be amazing. Thank you in advance.

The character is very likable.
- Stinkdamp · v1.4
Definitely one of my favorite Lifeline games! Arika is a fun, quippy character much like (but distinct from) Taylor, and the storyline has some genuinely interesting conflicts. The UI is great, much better than Flatline’s, and the wait times weren’t too egregious. There’s plenty of content here to read— I highly recommend giving this game a spin!
- Celestialcadence · v1.4
The writer is full of low brow sarcasm. Almost everything said is some attempt at wit and humor but falls terribly short. The mass amounts of pop culture reference and sarcastic replies really drags it down. Many of the choices are a result of random exclamations that don't describe what's going on until you select between 'What's wrong' or 'Everything ok?' Take out the useless choices and there isn't much substance here. Quite an annoying read.
- EpikOne · v1.4
A lot of choices didn't matter. Lifeline 1 was the best in the series in my opinion. Like another similar phone interactive game series, Simulacra, the first one has all the charm and the most coherent writing which then falls by the wayside for the rest of the series. But it wasn't all that bad. The time loop part was just annoying though.

You can never go wrong with Lifeline games.
- choirheart · v1.4
Hi, will you make another game continuing this storyline or another choose your own path story game with magical ideas involved? I’ve only played the original lifeline and this game. This story was way more engaging in my opinion. I’m down to help you write it if you want, but I’d like another if you’re willing to make one.
- Is this nickname ok Apple? · v1.4
The Lifeline series is by far my favorite text adventure series. I would definitely love to see more games soon. Maybe a continuation of Taylor or Arika’s story.
- Admatos74 · v1.4
Its as great as i remember however the part on apple watch where you put your name in it crashes and rewinds the story a bit 😔
- Rinphiron · v1.4
I have played this game a couple of times and this past time was the first time I actually succeeded and reached the end. It was a wild ride and an incredible story that just pulls you in like nothing else. I found myself actually worried about Arika as if I was actually magically connected with another person, and the game left me constantly thinking about it. It felt real and it felt powerful, with a great story to match and good choices for how to react, if you enjoy choice driven games, this is the game for you.
- PV2 CJO · v1.4
Glitchy on my 12 Pro Max and Apple Watch. The app sent an alert to my watch, but when I opened it, it reset the game to the beginning. When the character asks what my name is on my watch, the game closes each time I try to enter it. When I went back to the app on my phone to see if it was where I originally left off, it reset to the beginning again 😩😩
- Dbg215 · v1.4
All the Dave Justus penned Lifeline games are amazing, but this one is my favorite, if only because of several slightly obscured references to one of my favorite don’t-you-dare-call-them-goth bands.
- nommy-nom · v1.4
it just makes the gameplay stressful having to wait to see if she’s okay!
- kamarulio · v1.4
The game crashes on my watch when I try to enter my name. I have tried updating both the phone, watch, and game, but nothing I do seems to fix the issue.
- Floor Pancakes · v1.4
The game is great, as expected after playing Lifeline 1. My knock of one star is for the readability of the text. This is much harder to read than 1. There is no setting for font size, and sadly they did not write the game to Apple’s font sizer API. This is the only game of this kind that I have to grab my glasses for. Very annoying and disappointing for Big Fish to ignore those of us without 20/20 vision.😎 Another issue for me: If someone grows up in an isolated town, then an orphanage, then a decade on the run focused on just one thing, how the heck do they pick up all the societal slang, and music and film references that they constantly use. That’s a rather big logical leap. Almost another star just for that time flaw. 🧐 I also wanted to knock off another star for your treatment of my cities. I was born and raised in Portland, and now live one block away from Happy Valley. Given that Happy Valley has the highest income per capita of any city in Oregon (amazing what 1 block can do for your income), and is completely full of McMansions (mansion wannabes). Given these McMansions have only about 6 feet separating one from the next, it’s very hard to picture a dilapidated orphanage still standing anywhere in Happy Valley. Fiction I know, but really?? However you did get the Pearl district right, so that evens out. 😁
- Metaphysicalmojo · v1.4
I had finished the original Lifeline, managing to save Taylor, then bought this one. Arika is as easy to get attached to. There is so much to her story, and it is so in-depth. I loved it so much. I had to do two rewinds, before I was able to get her through. Are there any others with her?
- Redrockwolf · v1.4
So far I am enjoying the story it's playing out well and I feel like I'm having conversations with a real person but after a few hours I opened the app on my phone rather then my watch and noticed it was at the beginning so I though oh well I'll just play on my watch and when I reloaded it on my watch it restarted the entire story.... played it for a few hours while at work for about 8 hours now I have to do everything again to get back to the same point
- Renagale. · v1.4
I have been playing for over 2 weeks and can’t get through the monastery scene. I’m over frustrated and have completely given up. Turn right, turn left, turn right. I feel like Arika and I’m just going in circles... After how much fun the first game was I certainly didn’t expect this much frustration and almost zero fun.
- Chelle1476 · v1.4
Love all the lifeline games. This one I enjoyed, but not quite as much as the other lifeline games. The thing I really enjoyed about the other games is that I always ended up screwing up and having to rewind and think about things to get the good ending- like a lot of rewinding lol. But this game I didn’t have to rewind at all, not even once, to get the good ending. Still liked it though.
- tmacc00 · v1.4
Played a while on my watch and when I went back to my phone it erased my progress and made me start from where I had left off on my phone
- glickenhaus · v1.4
My vocabulary is probably under qualified to describe my experience what these games so I’ll state it simply. I love these games every one of them. The story was captivating between the realistic characters conversations references it is almost impossible not to feel sad when you have to wait for actions like sleeping or traveling to be performed. I was so glad when I found out about this series and it is well worth the money. I can’t wait for the storylines to continue. Thank you for the passion these stories are told with.
- DragonBornCF · v1.4
Mostly just in comparison! I did the Arctic story line a few months ago and came across this game so I bought it! I think it fell a little flat just in comparison to the other installments. Adams was such an alive character and I ended up creating a fun meta story about why they were able to reach out to me and obviously they DID need urgent help. Arika is... less like that? It could be for other people, but it just makes me miss the prior games! Lots of love towards the writers and devs, just if recommend another one of their games!
- Stella79058 · v1.4
The game was okay but I couldn't even get through half of it. Honestly she talks too much at the beginning of the game and the plot isn't all that good. Edit: Tried playing this again just for the hell of it and i still stand by what i said. Not to mention the fact that she has a terrible attitude for someone who constantly needs advice and help. Shes your typical fiction teenager i guess
- Gir1ypoppie · v1.4
Don’t understand it.... I play for a day and a half or so and it resets to where I give my name.... happened several times now.... would be fun if I could actually play.
- raymaffit · v1.4
Favorite lifeline aside from possibly the original book - well worth the purchase
- Niles012 · v1.4
Worthless!!!! Don’t waste your money on any of them.
- Novice Nancy · v1.4
Easily, and I mean EASILY, the most enjoyable game I have downloaded. This trumps Pokémon GO 20 times over, the character design makes Arika feel like she’s an actual person (as lifeline games tend to do) and the fantasy approach really helped me enjoy this even more, don’t get me wrong, I played Lifeline and Silent Night before Bloodline, but goddamnit if this isn’t the best the series has to offer to me as of yet. If you haven’t already downloaded this, I HIGHLY recommend it, they even added fast mode to make sure you don’t have to wait as long, have fun, and make the correct decisions
- Omgitzakreeper22 · v1.4
My favorite Lifeline game in the series, it combines everything I love about the games into one masterpiece
- Jet pack 11 · v1.4
I played the first Lifeline and was so impressed with the storyline I gave Lifeline 2 a go but like many sequels, it doesn’t come close to its predecessor. The premise sounds good but the conversations are boring and the humor is forced. The logic is flawed and there were several instances where you suggest a course of action and she either just doesn’t follow your suggestion or it’s just too plain to see that the game wants you to go in a particular direction. I wish I could get my money back but I bought it and didn’t get to play for a couple of weeks so the time to refund passed. What a waste.
- snugb · v1.4
I enjoyed very minute of this adventure. It was a living book. I loved that it was all text. I loved that it was in real time. I loved that it allowed me to make decisions that affected the story. I loved the humor and the spunky main character, Arika. I look forward eagerly to the next installment.
- Sheriseem · v1.4
The game constantly forgets your progress. It has TONS of run on sentences and sentence fragments. Which are usually right next to each other so you cannot read the text on your Apple Watch while they are messaging you because of the rate the SINGLE messages never seem to appear as a GROUP even if you change the settings. Phone and watch app NEVER sync with each other so you’re going to want to play on one or the other, never both. Buggy, unintuitive, and downright sloppy programming. I’m requesting a refund. Sorry I tried to beat it before I delete it but, I can’t finish the game without it rewinding me hours backwards every time I get close to beating it. *Quick edit* People have complained before about these issues and no one has done anything to fix them. Developers don’t care about you or this game. Just skip it and read the best outcome online. You’ll be glad you did.
- Zenkiisadore · v1.4
I ran into an extremely annoying problem while syncing with my Apple Watch. Let's say I had advanced maybe 10 decisions forward on my watch, I would open it on my phone and it would still be 10 decisions back. I'd reopen my watch app and it would reset 10 decisions back. It would fail in reverse too. I got to the point where I only play on my phone. Side note: played the first Lifeline on phone and watch and they synced up perfectly! Don't know what the issue is with this one though...
- funnieguy89 · v1.4
I like the way this game works a lot by this story is nothing compared to lifeline and it just drags on too long in a lot of spots like having to repeat the same thing again and again cause she’s in a time loop was really annoying
- Catiecat1123 · v1.4
Essentially this game is the same as lifeline one. However, in lifeline one the writing made sense, as a lonely crash landed character contacted you and cracked jokes to not go insane. This time, it’s a girl whose parents got killed going on a revenge quests...cracking the same jokes and staying as much out of character as possible. By midgame the horrible writing along with jokes that were falling more and more flat I couldn’t handle it anymore and just stopped playing.
- Pangalactic5000 · v1.4
I enjoyed the humor and snark of the protagonist, and felt caught up in the story and the tension. I highly recommend giving it a try. :)
- Lucera49 · v1.4
This game is the only game I’ve played until I’ve gotten every single ending, this is the only game I liked so much I reviewed it, download this game and please try to like it, it may be an lil bit shorter, but it’s so much better please make an sequel!!!
- devinwazzi · v1.4
Was really enjoying the game, but I've run into a bug in the monastery after solving the loop that won't allow me to progress (it doesn't give me choices anymore), and it's a little far into the story to want to consider a restart. EDIT: I've since read through other reviews and found others stuck at the exact same point from over a year ago, so it looks like the developer have no plans to fix it or just don't care. UPDATE: plenty of time for developer response, and nothing. Dropping it down to a 1 Star where a broken paid game belongs.
- PowerHobo · v1.4
I’ve enjoyed all of the Lifeline games I’ve played, and this one is no exception. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the game and find yourself checking in on it periodically, hoping for more news from the protagonist. Can’t wait for a Bloodline 2!
- TheRealSketchbook · v1.4
This is all that I could think about for about three days. I absolutely loved it.
- Aliiiiiiiiiiiiisnon · v1.4
Had to be the MOST annoying character I’ve ever had to come across. My god. There was too much cringe to continue
- Alexjoeshmoe · v1.4
I love all of these games. But this one in particular asks me to choose an option, and then totally twists it: The guy says, "Hey, I'm lost." So u choose: "Where are u trying to go?" And it makes u say, "We all get lost in life sometimes..." That was an analogy BTW. But still!! I wanna say what I choose, bruh! I've had this same problem sometimes in "silent night". But u should really buy the first one. The first one is funny, and VERY addictive. I HIGHLY recommend these games. I just wish they'd fix the "don't care what u just chose" thing. -lifeline1_lover4life
- CampusGirl99 · v1.4
My progress in the game doesn’t synchronize across my watch and my phone. This is annoying as it means I get different notifications from each device unless I repeat my steps. Oh, and the dialogue is TERRIBLE just awful. No one, no one, talks like the main character. The jokes/snark are not only flat but remarkably poorly timed as if they were inserted on a second pass through of the script. It is in a word, wearying.
- kevindwhite · v1.4
i love lifeline 2 along with all the other lifeline games and when i had heard this one came out i was excited. it was so worth the money! it's a really captivating storyline and i really enjoy the detail and the large amount of choices you get to make. although i did discover a typo. when arika is ranting about fiery habanero doritos getting discontinued, when you respond: that really should have been the absolute first thing i should have told you when we met, it says me instead of we. finally replaying it in an attempt to get a better ending! i’m almost there! (。・ω・。)
- Tarsay Reamerday · v1.4
I wasn't as into this one initially, but I grew to really enjoy this story and character. Good length too!
- Brennebam · v1.4
This was a really cool game, it really felt like you had a connection with the character and I'm sad to see the end. Good Job
- Wishes for variety · v1.4
I love the storyline and the ability to change the game based on the choices I make. The character is witty and funny, and I love the sass. I definitely went ahead and downloaded the rest of the game, I'm very happy.
- RaduhRaduh · v1.4
I don't care what other people say about this game the story is great the characters are great and the ending will be remembered. It deserves more than 5 stars!
- Moriark · v1.4
I just finished the game and I'm genuinely wanting more, it has an amazing story plenty of humor and a main protagonist that feels so genuine and real that you feel sad when it ends. 5⭐️
- The Kool Panda · v1.4
The writing is good. I say that as someone who's written both novels and video games. The main character has a definite but multifaceted voice. And I love that it's basically an adventure game without you pointing and clicking at everything on a screen. HOWEVER... Dying sets you back a loooooong way. I died three times, and even with "fast-forward" enabled, I can't bring myself to try to slog through it again. If only dying gave you the option of going back a few choices from your failure instead of THE BEGINNING OF THE ACT. It's the one problem I have with the game, but it's a major one and it's going to keep me from ever playing it again. For that reason, I can't score Lifeline 2 high. It's reminiscent of how Morrowind's lack of direction/fast travel made me give up on it, but Bethesda fixed that in Oblivion - which I played for 185+ hours. TL;DR: Developers, please fix the dying penalty on your game because it killed my enjoyment.
- Violent Lee · v1.4
I love the other Lifeline games. I highly recommend those. This one felt irrational. Many of the choices you make are not what the plot suggests you should do. For instance Fight or Run. When it is clear you should talk to someone who isn't threatening and has previously alluded to what you might need. It really feels like you don't get to make legitimate choices. Poorly written decision tree.
