loved this game and the first one too. it has depth and strategy as well as giving you something to do. not just a sit and watch it play itself game.

, it's okay, but there are annoyances that I have with the pop-up system. When you come back like you're forced to go through all of the popups , and by the time you get through everything , you've lost thousands and thousands of resources , and it's just like why
- H C · v1.8.6
another great game 😁 too early to ask about... magic research 3?
- Trev Coleman
Would've given 7.5 stars, but there is no mute button ;)
- J “darth_dude” S · v1.8.6
0 adds, 0 in app purchases, tons of mechanics, tons of play styles and strategies, intriguing story, intentional game and story, cool and well thought in game crafting and currency systems. NOT pay to win.
- Grant Winn · v1.8.6
top game
- gareth knott · v1.8.6
100's of hours and multiple playthroughs later I finally leave a review. "Its alright..." I'll leave a better review when MR3 is at least announced.
- Matt Inscho · v1.8.6
I love this game. My old phone did die spectacularly so I had to start a new game but I forgot how satisfying it was. I know I've made it further this time than last so that's awesome 😎 Wish there was a Magic Research Three!
- Alex Foster · v1.8.6
best idle game ever! thanks for all your hard work, hope to see more from you
- kit · v1.8.6
Great little game with everything ready out of the box. Just finished it and ready for the next game.
- Armed wings · v1.8.6
I had to come back one year after my first review to say this game is it. Probably the best in genre that I've played. Buy it, play it Thank you dev
- MaJiCiDE · v1.8.6
Really great rogue-like management game. Each playthrough presents new challenges that always feel interesting, never tiresome, and always doable - but with effort. nothing is "easy", but nothing feels impossible. I'm impressed by the Creator's ability to balance that throughout gameplay. It's gentle on people with lives - talking breaks actually enhances your experience without real penalty - and is playable without an Internet connection. Loved the first one, and this is every bit as good.
- Jeremy Sepinsky · v1.8.6
great stuff.
- boogelo · v1.8.6
Simply a phenomenal game. I strongly wish there were more games like this
- Jacob Handerschmidt
absolute perfection
- Jared Bridge · v1.8.6
Such a great game. One of my all time favourites. I truly loved the original and this is the perfect sequel. Bringing what was great about the original but improving upon it and staying fresh. The story is excellent too, very immersive and seeing the school we built in the first one in it was very nice. The only thing bad about it is that there isn't a third one yet. Welp, have to replay it. Again.
- Ruben Rufer · v1.8.6
Amazingly fun game.
- Kody Miller
Just beat D+11 and all I can say is... Nice. I wish there were more viable build options other than spiked armor, wand of fire+pajamas, and big bang only. But if thats the only things I can find to complain about after nearly 3 full weeks of playtime then it's gotta be excellent overall. For the amount of entertainment time I've gotten out of it the money is well worth it.
- Kyle Kehoe · v1.8.6
the game is so good I bought it on my phone and on steam. did the same for the first game. its an awesome afk game and an awesome active play. the reset mechanic is great and rewarding and the storyline is good and engaging! I am buzzing for the 3rd game
- AJ Plant · v1.8.6
they took all the best parts of 1, added a metric ton of QoL, then added a splash of new content that loops well. insane how good this is AND I'm still playing MR1
- Steven (Faifur) · v1.8.6
A worthy sequel to Magic Research 1 and absolutely worth the price. It's much more complicated, however, and I found it so challenging I needed to consult several guides in the Magic Research discord server to 100% the game. To be clear, I did like the game on the whole, but it was just a touch too overwhelming for my peanut brain.
- John Ramirez · v1.8.6
perfect incremental with multiple endings
- Mohammed Ibrahim · v1.8.6
Like it's predecessor, this game is a stand-out in the Idle/Simulation genre. practically every component has a purpose, and it is just a joy to play. I recommended it to others who play games like this, and it always goes over well. I recently heard that there is going to be mod support for the game. I am deeply interested, and picked up the PC version to look into trying out the SDK there before mobile. Extremely exciting!
- Alexander Gobbo · v1.8.6
TLDR: Just a good game. I rarely say this. This game is a rock-solid buy and an even better value than the first installment. Fun to play (for idle game fans) and no additional monetization when I played it. The writing was interesting and the systems kept me coming back for more. Many hours of low-key entertainment. No regrets here. It is a very good time waster and I thoroughly enjoyed the time playing it. Kudos to the developers. I need to remember to watch for future projects from them.
- Richard L · v1.8.6
Great game!
- Isaac Martinez · v1.8.6
amazing game. we need another
- Ryan Brettin (Wyald) · v1.8.6
Extraordinarily boring. Barely a game, barely entertaining. The idea of repeatedly "retiring" and playing this whole boring game repeatedly is exhausting. Anyone who plays this avidly debases themselves with this slop. I'd ask for a refund but the couple dollars or whatever this cost isn't remotely worth my time to stop and try to recover.
- th3ranger · v1.8.6
amazing game
- James N · v1.8.6
Definitely the best incremental game I've ever played, and a worthy successor to the first. it manages to ride the line between active and idle gameplay perfectly and is the perfect blend of incremental and RPG elements. 10/10 would recommend.
- Daniel Tye · v1.8.6
It's so engrossing I've been forgetting to do my dailies in other games and haven't opened YouTube all week... Contender for best incremental game!
- Ashley Stone · v1.8.6
Fantastic progression, last two challenges just weren't for me and a little repetitive so I finished after probably two months of free time being sunk into the game. knowing what I know now I would pay 20 bucks for a game like this. (also check out the first one, a little simpler but definitely good fun.)
- Garrett Backus
One of the best I've played. I can't belive how good it was. So well thought out. Even little extras if you figure out certain things. Lots of ways to build your char. I can't be more impressed! I hope there is another one. I'd even take a new storyline with the same machanics. (like boarderlands you just replay a similar game with each version, different storyline.) You hit on something great! Thank you! I even beat difficulty 10 and maxed out all bonuses!
- Ben C · v1.8.6
An excellent improvement on an already pretty good game
- Joe Grantham · v1.8.6
the best incremental on android
- Mark Sidarous · v1.8.6
pretty good game but the last boss is way too difficult.
- Eitan Segev · v1.8.6
best spreadsheet emulator ever Good writing, fun story. Has a definite end, and it provides all the information and resources you need to make informed choices as you play, no external resources necessary. making number go up has never been so much fun!
- Veronica Sinclaire · v1.8.6
loved the game. constantly hoping they do another
- Anthony Stasiak · v1.8.6
Magic Research 1 was already one of the best mobile incremental games and this one brings it to new heights. No microtransactions at all, once you buy that's the game.
- Brandon Grill · v1.8.6
Love this as much as the original. When is MR3 going to come out? 🙏🙏
- Boo Raddley
Fun game! I liked the first one as well. This game has a surprising amount of depth to it for a semi-idle game. I highly recommend it for someone who has time to dig into a game but doesn't want to be plugged in 24/7 for results.
- River Eddy · v1.8.6
This game is phenomenal. Once paid for, it's an immersive experience that doesn't require anything but the price paid. Takes about 10 minutes to get the gist of it, but once you do, you realize how great it is. Well worth it.
- Winter One · v1.8.6
I find it a bit more clunky feeling than the first one but that might be just my opinion. However, the reason for the 4 star review is my phone wants to explode playing this. I do not understand how a text based game makes my phone overheat so much, battery drains fast too. This did not happen with the first game.
- Ivan x · v1.8.6
a surprisingly fun game. I hadn't played the first one, but the mechanics started out simple enough and progressed into a more and more complex system. Its addicting. at times id sink 3 or 4 hours in at once without realizing it. I was able to overpower most of the bosses eventually but the challenges provided really fun puzzles to make each run a little more complex. The enemy designs were a little cheesy but it didn't detract from the gameplay at all.
- Jesse Steggall
This is just another Idle counting up game. IT'S NOT A SIMULATION GAME IN ANY WAY. The reviews are so cheesy and they are clearly fake. "Oh I didn't think it was possible to make a second one but they did! WOW!" come on. there is a story attached to it but and that's why I have 3 stars but don't lie about what it is. I got a refund because again it's just a boring counting up game to me.
- Aaron E
I have really enjoyed playing this game. It has been over a month and I would say this is one of my favorite games.
- Channing Elggren · v1.8.6
Absolutely brilliant game
- Matias Ekstrand · v1.8.6
I loved the first one and this one didn't disappointed
- lorys lellouche · v1.8.6
game doesn't save on phone sleep. lost all my progress but can't get a refund. save yourself some trouble. don't buy it.
- Jeffrey Caldwell
No microtransactions, fun to play, clean and simple UI.. It's hard to find games like this on mobile, and I am glad I bought this one. I like to play it to de-stress after work.
- Amawyn Oakleaf · v1.8.6
love the game
