This is a terrible idle game. Progression is extremely linear, you do the same tasks over and over again. You wait for your numbers to go up. Then repeat said tasks. The cash shop is pretty egregious, considering how little game there is to experience. The only thing it does well is the nostalgic vibe, if you grew up with MapleStory. Play obelisk miner or idleon if you want a better mobile idle game.

I played this religiously for about three months straight, and then it turned out there was literally no endgame. The party quests are absolute garbage. There is no recognition for any progress you have made, and half of the people playing on your server leave, so there is nothing social; it takes away from the essence of MapleStory.

The game started out fine. But if you play for free, eventually a power gap forms between whales and yourself. you can no longer find matches for raids due to everyone being in harder queues and the party quests become uninteresting. I wish there were ways for players who want to invest time (rather than money) to catch up some, but there just isn't. Uninstalled and haven't looked back.

The game is idle. obviously spending will advance you faster but you will eventually hit a wall either way (so whats the point?). If you dont spend any money it will be a VERY slow grind. PVP (Arena) is POORLY designed. you can get farmed by the top players. There is no rank system that keeps you safe from stronger players. you can have a million power "gold rank" and literally get farmed by the rank 1 player with 13 billion power, so pvp is pointless. overall a bad game and would not worth it.

I thought it would be a nice way to get my Maple craving without having to sink time into the actual game but it's just reminding me of the worst parts. 1. it's riddled with in game ads trying to get you to spend money. 2. Without paying, progression is incredibly slow, almost pre-big bang levels where getting to 120 would take months. 3. If you don't have the game open it takes a cut out of the resources you've accumulated and locks it behind a pay wall. There's more but I'm out of words.

current events are RNG based and some people cant even complete it as a f2p, crazy that the one thing thats supposed to be for everybody is gated behind microtransactions, very scummy. Literally every single mechanic in this game is P2W and has microtransactions tied to it now. Events used to be the only guarantee and we cant even have that anymore. they continue to force Paying for full rewards in the artifact event. sick of Nexon and their poor consumer practices

this game was full of nostalgia from when i used to play the pc version almost 20 years ago, and it was fun at first! but every in game transaction is ridiculously expensive, and since the game has gone live last november it seems theres been at least 1 public apology for a coding error or faulty in game aspects every single week. nexon makes the same false promises every time, and then continues to rinse and repeat their errors. do not give them your money--save yourself in a way i didnt 😔

Addictive, nice blend of idle and active gameplay, has me hooked just like I was growing up with maplestory, definitely pay to win though as with anything nexon and maplestory especially, be prepared to drop a few bucks here and there to progress at a reasonable pace, the amount of money that can be spent is outrageous, hopefully one day they learn how to approach free to play style games and tone down the expenses a bit because maplestory is GOLD.

I really liked the game when it was in the PC version online. But now after trying this game version for seven months now, I am unhappy about the game. I dislike the events especially in the co-op against other players. Most of the time you lose. When getting items, the odds are stacked against you, unless you are willing to spend a lot of money. I played the PC version for about 22 years. As time went by, the PC version got worse and worse. After the "Shade" class was newly released, that's when it went downhill. The app version is ok at best. Mainly a idle game where you slowly get stronger. And the game is really difficult and challenging. The monsters move to the portal faster than you attack. It's a fun low effort trip down memory lane if you played maplestory back in the day. The UI is mostly very fast and responsive despite the amount of menus available. Obviously the most powerful item in the game is your credit card, but I bought ad removal for like 3 euros and monthly membership for another 3 and I feel like I got my money's worth and am competitive The reason for only 3 stars is that the progression hits a stone wall at around level 75-80. It gets insanely slow

I purchased the 30-day Maple Special Membership. I was supposed to get a free hunt ticket daily with that membership. But I think after reaching level 70 or something the tickets stop coming. Nexon makes it so hard for me to raise this complaint in-game to get this issue resolved. Between this and other errors they've publicly admitted to, I wonder if people should really be playing and spending money on this game (they shouldn't).
