Couldn't even create a character. waited a couple hours for everything to download. select my character. change it's appearance. typed in a nickname. and tapped the create character button. and nothing happened. selected a different character and nothing. what a waste of a night.

The biggest problem with MapleStory M is that almost everything is based on low-probability RNG. Upgrading equipment, enhancing gear, improving stats, and many other progression systems all depend heavily on luck. When your luck is bad, you can spend a huge amount of mesos, materials, and other resources without getting the result you need. What makes it even worse is the repeated failure. Failing over and over again really affects the enjoyment and mood of playing the game. The whole point of playing a game is to have fun and relax, but this system often does the exact opposite—it makes you frustrated, disappointed, and unhappy. This makes progression feel extremely frustrating and unfair. It’s not about how much time or effort you put into the game—it often comes down to whether you get lucky with the RNG. Two players can spend the same amount of resources and end up with completely different results. There should be more guaranteed progression options or protection systems so that players can steadily improve their characters instead of constantly gambling their hard-earned resources. The game has a lot of potential, but the excessive reliance on RNG makes progression feel unfair and discouraging. At some point, it stops feeling like a game and starts feeling like a constant gamble.

I'll been playing this game for long time but, I kinda miss old storyline, because I hadn't finished the forest epics quest series, as for the new main storyline kinda short and slightly boring to me, I'm already at 115 levels currently, I don't know if I keep playing this game but still great game to me, that's my honest opinion.

I was enjoying the game since I loved playing it. But, something happened and my Account got suspended permanently. I was only playing the game normally and I got kicked for no reason at all. Would have given it a perfect 5 out of 5, but since I feel "betrayed" in a way, I'm sadly rating this 1 out of 5. I apologize in advance that this is happening to a very good game...

Level 220 Ancient Weapon Review Pros: Cute characters and fun to dress up with cash items. Cons: There is no gameplay. The core of this "game" is gambling, pure and simple. Gambling for Ancient/Necro/Abso gear, potentials, flames, emblems etc etc. Bosses are not challenging, they just have stupid long HP bars. I could not find a reason to play this game at all. There is no joy in the grinding, the story has no depth, characters are largely identical. An absolute waste of time and money.

Game isnt designed to be friendly for new joiners - cant use trade station due to some trade ticket you are required to get from maple adventure but doesn't specify how. This impedes progress a lot and the game has become too complicated, dont suggest playing if you are looking for old school maple game play where is was chill and fun.

Banned for no reason

This was very nostalgic for me as I played PC version when I was younger. I loved it, brought back a lot of good memories of playing with my big brother, who I haven’t seen in a while. So I started playing, then my husband joined, then my kids joined also. But out of nowhere all of our devices get banned. I tried reaching out to support but they must be using A.I. because I got no help. I somehow ended up messaging support for PC and they got back to me swiftly and it was an actual human being. Although they couldn’t help our situation due to PC and mobile being separate departments, I did appreciate their reply. Unlike the mobile support. My kids were sad, they were starting to get into it and I was pretty upset myself. But it is just a game.. we’ve moved on to a different one. I’m glad we didn’t spend any money in game yet. Just a FYI, don’t tell your household of this game or your account will get banned for no reason and you will get no support from them.

Never spend money on this game. Their "rates" are rigged. You are more likely to land the 5% destruct / 10% fail than you are to pass despite it being above 40%. Many things like that which just ensures that if you pick this game up, do not be foolish enough to spend money on it. That way you can drop this game without feeling ripped off. Nexon just won't learn scandal after scandal.

Cool to see it but

Holy, this game takes up over 11GB of space. For Maplestory? I have other fantastic games that do not require such a massive chunk of storage. Very disappointing, I was excited to finally be able to play on the go. This game must be so full of bloat to be that ridiculously massive. Genuinely absurd. It also kept putting on auto-play which is a horrible feature that shouldn't exist in any mmorpg. It shouldn't play for you if you're not going to bother playing it yourself. Why would I want to watch the game play itself? And it's so full of cash grabs I literally just started, I'm not buying cosmetics. This is not at all the Maplestory I remember when I was younger. Completely weird and off-putting in every way.

Everything is rng but the rates are rigged. Everything costs way too much mesos to upgrade compared to income. Social content is dead unless you join a good guild, but you need to go through countless rng hoops to be geared enough to be accepted into one. Coming from a paying necro player.

Love the game so far,progression is simple and not stuck behind some kind of pay wall nor is the full game, i wouldn't call this game "pay to win" either its very free to play friendly but paying for progression is an option via the store, there also isn't a content drought and auto battle isn't forced on you compared to other MMO'S on mobile. As long as the developers keep adding more content this game stands strong among mobile MMO'S right now and the detail and range of cosmetics is great.

Couldn't even finish the download, 98% into it and it starts telling me it can't connect to the server with perfectly fine connections. Used both WiFi and my data to get to start again and just ended up wasting my time, especially when it's 15G not exactly a short wait in Australia.
