1st, the good. I like these Udon style sprites. that is all. the bad. the animations are choppy. the levels are segregated into sections unnecessarily. no native controller support. this is just the same poorly reviewed game released on the iPhone 4. 16:9 mode just zooms into the 4:3 instead of rendering 16:9. it's sad that this is the only Mainline MegaMan X game on mobile, because even some of the weakest phones released in 2026 are powerful enough to run EVERY MegaMan game (even MM11).

Can't boot, says no network. Permissions are there, tried to clear cache, try again, then cache+data, try again, then uninstall reinstall, giving the permissions before opening it, same error, "no network". Wanna be clear, there is network, I couldn't download and reinstall the game if there weren't. Sad, I really hoped I could play this game. 100℅ unsure why network is required for a snes game too. seems hella suspicious.

extremely mid. for some reason the game is capped at 30fps even on phones with outstanding specs. the game loads in small chunks, several "doors" to get through the map. boggles my mind how the NES with super limited hardware could run this game better than a paid version from Capcom themselves. you'd be better off running this another way. it's kind of unique. but it just plays very janky and weird compared to the OG. would be fine for the airport I suppose, that's about it though.

My favorite video game series..🔫 Quite decent port, but very challenging to do movements control with touchscreen such as jump-shoot, platform-to-platform, so actions become reduce somehow, no gung-ho. But still can do hyper-jump🦘 by slide button Dash and Jump respectively. Game sound and display performs good, as expected.

Even though this was based on the iOS version, I wish this was updated to include physical/external controller support. Also, while it launches fine and plays okay on my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (I don't like virtual gamepads for platformers), the game is stuck on a black screen on boot when playing on an AYN Thor (even though it wouldn't be optimal to play on that due to lack of physical control support).

Very cool game, a nice and long platformer with a ton of maps in each level. Better on other consoles than mobile, but is still an epic experience. Has Google Play Games Achievements, so even if you've beat the game, you still got more content. It is, however, very hard, but it adds to the challenge!

I feel like i wasted my money on a game that doesn’t have controller support. The game is cool but i cant enjoy it being forced to play on screen only. Thats the only downside for me. Controller support lacking makes the game almost unplayable.

My review

So, I’m assuming that you came here as a big Mega Man X fan, like me. Capcom tells little to nothing about other things that I have figured out and am going to tell you now. First thing is the Hadouken. The Hadouken is still in this game, you still just have to get all the items (all the armor upgrades, health upgrades e.t.c.) but, instead of it not carrying over into a password, this port has a built in save system which will save the Hadouken and pretty much everything else in the game. That’s as good of a transition as any to move on to the save system. Like I mentioned before, it saves everything, including the Sigma Stages! And, it lets you select which ever stage you want to play after unlocking it, so you can play Sigma Stage 3 and then go back to 1 if you would like. Lastly, I wanted to talk about the Game Center additions. There are 60 achievements to get, including beating the game without any items or upgrades and 59 more. They also added 4 different modes to compete in, (which all have their own leaderboard) from Score Attack to speed running the different stages, you’ll find one you’re good at. (Btw, I’m apparently in the top 1% of players in Score Attack, so I don’t know if I’m too good or no one wants to play this… So I’ll leave it to you whether or not you want to pay the 5 bucks (which I got for 99 cents on a HUGE sale) for this port. If you’re coming here to experience Mega Man X for the first time, just buy the Legacy Collection.

I really enjoyed this game.It reminded me of all the other megaman games from the past and I beat it in about a week and a half really enjoyable not much skills to it, but not easy either,and I beat it on normal.I thought the end was cool to talking about all the people we lost along the way in life that payed the ultimate price and they are not forgotten atleast not in my mind.I want to see the next game of megaman they come out with on the phones of the future.????

A very nice remake/port of an snes classic. Nice additions like an easy mode is a welcome addition. Plenty of control, ease of use options are available to make play best for your style. Supports a set of 60 Google Play achievements, a save slot for each of the three difficulty levels, bonus ranking modes if that's your thing. Not perfect, but still fun. Music loops are sometimes a little off, had a stuck bug near the start of Sigma stage 1. Some changes from the original, but it's fine.

This reminds me of Megaman Extreme (gbc) in that the veneer is similar, but the underlying bones are different and have been adjusted to suit the platform. It's fun and definitely less cumbersome to play than a straight port would be, but I'm shocked at how long this was on IOS and Zero's theme still doesn't play in the intro stage. 😋

I thought this was good at first.. but when i started using my SNES more often....I realized: "Damn... this mobile port SUCKS." first of all: the difficulty needs to be more balanced out... you can blitz through the game on even NORMAL MODE! beating certain mavericks does not have an effect on other stages.. And Well... let's just not talk about the design... it sucks.... But my biggest complaint is the FPS! SIERUSLY CAP-COM? HOW? it's a remake of a SNES game, phones have better hardware. Great.

I bought this game because i wanted to play it on my new “steelseries nimbus+ controller”. But is not compatible at all! I wonder if capcom will ever update it for iphone xr or new ipad air 2019. I love the game but it is annoying that capcom knows exactly this game came out for snes and always used controller to play it. This is a great game, not as good as the original but still good, pretty easy and, YOU MUST HIT THE SAVE BUTTON!!! I see people leaving reviews like "does not save" HIT THE SAVE BUTTON, it does get easy to forget tho and sometimes you may quit and lose hours of progress because you forgot to save. The bosses are creative and fun and overall I had a nice experience playing the game. However there is not as much replayability once you beat the game unlike the original. The controls are okay.

How on earth could any developer possibly think this game would be even fractionally as enjoyable without controller support???? I was over the moon when I found Mega Man on the App Store, then I find it only supports touch controls. Not Spectacular, but it’s fun.

I absolutely adore the original SNES version of course, but this “remaster” is lacking in a lot of ways, I won’t get too into it since anything bad I’ve gotta say about this pretty much everyone else has already stated, but for a mobile game it’s definitely pretty cool and I do have a lot of fun with it. Something that has kinda bummed me out is that the “enhancements” shop appears to be down/unavailable on IOS and I really wanted to purchase the arranged BGMs, but oh well maybe it’ll be back up soon it’s fine. Do I recommend this, If you like Mega Man X, yeah sure it’s a cute little mobile de-make of the spectacular original it’s sure to keep you busy passing time and whatnot.

X’s running animation looks like a slideshow

The game is good it’s just not a super full remake since the graphics look quite pixelated areas and the moving animations. There’s only three animations for each of them which makes it look very weird, but the game is still good.

This game is EXTREMELY FLAWED. The game (story and basis) is good. However, gameplay wise, OH LORD. TONS OF GLITCHES. Like if they didn't even care. The joycon is so small that you almost can't navigate if you have big thumbs. Besides, the dash button glitches, wall climbing is a disaster; this game is an actual insult to the original Mega Man X. Be cautious when deciding to buy or not.

2010s masterpiece. This game exceeds its now ancient original version. While the original version had jagged pixelated art. This new version has wonderful drawings everywhere, breathing new life into this archair relic. This also improves the gameplay since if the art is smooth then so are the controls, they can even be customised now. The graphic design also trumps the old "game". The graphic design has an arial font and has gradient adjacent blues. So, 2010's game fans, get this game!

It's an early 2000s Flash game experience. It looks odd for sure, but whether you like the original Super Nintendo Perspective. This version plays and looks good, not spectacular, but it works just fine. It even has some good option customizations and difficult settings. Other than the design look, everything plays pretty much the same way as far as the basic mechanics and controller functionality from the original hardware.
