love it, and definitely worth the price! just wish there was more to the game instead of repetitive mini games but otherwise definitely a very fun game for those who love focusing more on genetic makeup and the chill gameplay of Niche without the worry of your clan dying. 😅

Relaxing game with dominant and recessive traits. The interface is clean, and mechanics simple. However it quickly becomes a grind, but some people enjoy the grind.

My mental health has been decimated this last year. Having Niche on my phone has spared me from constant doomscrolling and distracted me from severe overwhelmed. I already enjoyed the original game on PC, so this is a nice way to play when I can't get to my laptop. Looking forward to seeing future development.

i love the game, i love the pc version more, but i WISH SO BADLY that yall would add the genes to the game or rework the game to make it accessible to mod on a platform, i know ya'll are busy with other games, but please, please, the community is begging we want this game to continue to be active, at least by the community. i have 200+ hours on it on Steam. We just want to experience the excitement of new nichelings with new genes again... I've been a fan from the start, obsessed with the game☹

I downloaded this cause I'm locked out of my steam account and can't play the computer version. This is nothing like that. Please let me order my critters by trait. The petting mechanic is cute but gets annoying. The first area's level maxing out made me look forward to the next one to do that. I'm beginning to think none of the others do.

Fun game, I really like it (especially the art and new genes) but, to the developers: Is this ever going to get a major update again? I'm aware the PC version won't (which is a tad disappointing, because even though it's quite literally in my top games of all time there's a lot of potential still there, like adding the new genes in the mobile version-I do understand the reasoning though), but the islands screen saying more is coming soon makes me wonder... -A very devout niche player (and lover)

Since the latest update, this game keeps crashing. :T Also, it is very easy to overlevel the world and get stuck with creatures with too low skill levels to even do anything. If the RNG gods hate you, then breeding will be almost impossible since it is time-gated and heavily RNG dependent.

I'm really enjoying this game! Some things aren't explained great and took a while to figure out/I'm still figuring them out, but this is like a really cool puzzle type game. Plus, the breeding for specific genetics is so cool and interesting; so far, the colors and patterns are extremely varried to the point that I have yet to see duplicates. Time and effort has 100% been put in to ensure variety. If the help/info buttons were just a bit more thorough, this would definitely be 5 stars.

The game is a neat reimagining of the original, though the leveling up of genes feels like a departure of the more realistic genetics system of its predecessor. Only reason it's not 5 stars is I've had some rocky issues in the past (lost saves, not working on new phones) but with regular updates this game seems (hopefully) more stable now.

UI needs improvement for breeding system to show nicheling traits for convenience. Game crashes quite frequently also for some reason. It would also help to have an undo button for mutagens for times where they are accidentally assigned to the wrong gene. The food resource in the game seems unnecessarily scarce. Otherwise the game is pretty solid and fun.

I own both the mobile version of this game and the PC version. Obviously, the PC game is more detailed and better. However! I really enjoy playing the mobile version. The overall simplicity of it and everything is so nice and I don't need to have wifi to play it so on a long road trip, I can always rely on this one to keep me company. This version is easy to understand and the controls all make sense. Definitely worth the little bit of money that I payed.

I liked this mobile version well enough to purchase the PC version through Steam (I appear to be unusual in buying in this order). My one complaint is that the app does close itself somewhat frequently, but not enough to be much of a bother for me. Worth the price imo if you'd like a genetics/evolution game.

Overall a very engaging and entertaining game-- a great adaptation of the pc version. However, I don't know if its just me, but the app has a tendency to randomly crash pretty often, way more than any app i've had on this phone. There's a lot of noticeable bugs as well, like glitching sprites and backgrounds, the foraging nicheling selection sometimes scrolling forever... I guess it says a lot that it doesnt bother me enough to put the game down, but its still strange how often it crashes.

It's okay. Lots of bugs, it crashes if you play it too long. The difficulty curve is very steep, and it doesn't explain things very well. I have no idea what the poison trait is for, for example, and it took reading through reviews here to figure out mutagenes. I don't necessarily think it's worth the price, though I spent free credits on it so I'm okay with it. It's a good distraction, at least.

Work in progress. More like a complex tamagotchi game than the original PC game so manage your expectations. Genes only have 1 attribute. Example large ears for hot climates gain nothing towards hearing (perception). Food cost isn't based on time or animal size. It's based on level & is used to breed (which gets EXPENSIVE) or heal (which is rarely needed). Being able to keep Island homes is nice. I hope that there will be a Niche 2 for phones that blends the best of both.

Still a good game I just wish it still looked like the old map one I saw on line and have been hunting down now it is not so involved and is more of a idle game in my view. You still get to play with the genetics it is just not what I expected from the origina trailer I saw.

Not what I was anticipating unfortunately. I found the overall idea engaging but the simplicity of it causes the game to be obviously more focused on the very young people like 5-10 year age groups instead of everyone. The layout is clean and easy to use. The controls are easy to understand. The graphics could really use some more imaginative approach such as straying away from the more conventional as it is heavily used. Great start though devs! Keep doin good cause it can only make you better!

Absolutely nothing like the PC version, and contains maybe 10 minutes of exploration before you're completely done with the gameplay loop. I wrote about this, and requested a refund well within 24 hours, and was denied by Google. Check critical reviews as they will say the same thing

I like the new visual traits and it's fun seeing the nichlings evolve. I don't care much for the minigame; but that's not the main appeal and it's not required to play. If you're a fan of the pc version, the new cute visual traits could give a nice twist while taking a break from the survival mechanics. I'll be playing both while dreaming of Niche 2.

Edit: Recently the app just won't open, it's a shame. I really do like this game its not too bad. I was surprised to see wait times as usually buying apps bypasses that but at least you can speed up growth with food. I would like to see more features like choosing mutated genes as you can on the steam version. Honestly I think if anyone is interested in this they should also give the pc version on steam a shot, it's a lot more fun in my opinion.
