I really like this app and the many games it has! It adds a lot of new stuff regularly too. However, the price increases are too frequent and too high. Most of these games can be played online for free (they look different, but they play just the same). Eventually, I'll stop paying for this if the price gets too high. The keyboard for the crossword is kind of unpleasant to use (buggy), and the app does not allow you to use your own keyboard. Recent reorganization of the app home page has buried the crossword (it used to be at the top), which I find obnoxious because I'm really only here to play the daily crossword. Additional bug in the app that I have a persistent "you're offline!" banner at the top of my screen when I am most definitely connected to the internet.

Fantastic daily games, love doing these puzzles each day. Some of these can actually be really challenging, the Wordle is the benchmark I set for all other daily games. Simple, effective and fun, the other games on offer here are also fantastic, connections are especially interesting to play, although I find it quite hard sometimes being British, with some of the connections relating to American culture. If you like puzzles and don't have this app, you are missing out deeply.

I have NYT Games subcription. Over the last couple of months, the games repeatedly show as having been played each day before I have played them. I contacted the help line the first time and was told to uninstall, re-install, log out, log back in. This reset the games for that day, but the next days the problem persisted. I have contacted the help center, and used "Report a Bug" in the app to try to solve the problem, but have heard nothing back. Paying and not able to use.

I like the crosswords. Also, Spelling Bee, Wordle, Connections, Strands, Tiles, and Letter Boxed. What I don't like is a reset to 0 if I do not do a certain puzzle daily. Eg. I did 209 Strands in a row, and because I did not do any puzzles one day, it was reset to 0. And when there is an issue at NYT, the counter was again reset to 0. I don't mind a reset if I do a puzzle like Connections and fail to solve. But not if I don't do a puzzle at all.

1. Basically no notifications. I lost a 147-day streak because I wasn't notified I skipped a puzzle I always play. 2. Part of why I missed it is that you can't hide the puzzles you don't want to play, so clutter hides what you care about. 3. The order the puzzles are displayed in also changes randomly, which is an accessibility nightmare. 4. They've never responded to these or other accessibility suggestions, bug reports, typo reports, etc. 5. Telling me to update to the latest version? Lol.

Too many bugs. Many days I have to start the app, restore purchases, close the app, then reopen it just to play. Often I have to do this multiple times, my record is ten. I know my phone is a low end model, but still... I did report this bug months ago but got no reply. I was very busy yesterday in an area with poor signal, I checked to make sure I had done the puzzles to maintain my streaks, they were ticked. Played today and my streaks are gone as it says I didn't play yesterday. I'm done.

As the number of games in the app has proliferated, users need to be able to customize their view; in the current deployment, usage of limited screen real estate is suboptimal. For months now, there's been an undismissable banner for a social mode I will never use. Today, wordle and connections were above the crossword. In terms of app performance, there is often significant latency opening the crossword.

The puzzles are great, but I am really struggling with the lack of functionality in supporting different keyboard layouts. The app appears to use an in-app keyboard that can only display the QWERTY layout, which means that I have to painfully hunt-and-peck each letter. Accessing the crossword puzzle through a mobile browser somehow suppresses the on-screen system keyboard, so the only way for me to play crossword puzzles comfortably is on a desktop computer.

A great puzzle app that has been losing features over time. I loved it, and was about to drop money on the subscription because of how generous they were. The removal of the Mini from free play was a kick in the face, and I now refuse to pay if NYT doesn't want to treat its userbase well. It forces you to use the onscreen touchscreen keyboard if you use a laptop. You cannot use the physical keyboard if you use the app. This makes completing the crossword significantly harder, especially if you are going for time. I hope this gets addressed.

A good app for word games but it is relatively buggy. Sometimes when I start it, the app says I am offline despite being connected to wifi, but when I close and reopen the app, it resets to the correct connection status. Low rating because the app’s subscription prompts feel sneaky and intrusive. When I tap a game, the Play button appears in the center of the screen, but right as I go to tap it, the button shifts upward and a Subscribe button appears where the Play button had been. I have accidentally tapped Subscribe because of this, and it feels like a dark pattern rather than a normal app design choice. The app constantly pushes subscriptions in other ways, detracting from the whole experience.

Stop the bs where the subscription button pops up a second later below the play button. I know what the app is trying to do, trying to make me "accidentally" navigate to the subscription page. It's funny the first time but it's infuriating when I'm just trying to unwind and do a quick wordle on my down time. Seriously, stop doing this.

Folks it's crashing on Xiaomi 17. Answering support response: - The phone is brand new and I installed the latest version from play store, so that's the updatest it can be :) - The app wont even open, so no way to report an error.

Great games but nightmare to cancel subscription. Both today's and historical games made available through subscription and enjoyable\challenging to play. my only negative, and a major one, is unable to cancel subscription - PayPal \google payments\NYT - infuriating

No free crosswords? There are a few free games but the main reason I downloaded this was to play crossword and it's behind a paywall. I can play one round of Wordle and a couple others games but if you are not paying per month you are very limited.

They should restrict this app to the USA. How on Earth are people supposed to work out answers to Connections that are so heavily Americanised? Good game but not worth playing if you're not American. If you offer it globally then make the game global. Impossible to play for me but if you're from the USA, fill your boots 👍
