PCE.emu (PC Engine Emulator)

Setup took some trial and error but now I have PC Engine running on my TV. Works great with an Xbox controller. I'm having a blast finally playing Castlevania: Rondo of Blood.

PCE emu is one of the best PC Engine/Turbografx 16 emulators about. It plays pce roms and you can link a PC Engine/Turbografx 16 CD Rom Bios to play CD Rom games. Excellent emulation and easy to use. I recommend this application. 5 🌟

The emulator is fine, and the games run smoothly and look great, but the save states don't work. Manual or automatic. Maybe I'm the one doing something wrong, but I doubt it. I played 3 games yesterday and made save states for all of them, and this morning, none of them are there. Pretty bummed. Otherwise, everything else works.

This emulator works great on my ancient RCA tablet! There are plenty of settings to tailor your experience, but I'm new to this so other than fiddling with getting my USB NES controller to map like a TG16 one, I kept everything stock. Again, it works perfectly and is a surprisingly tiny file! If you need an emulator to play old TG16 games, this is the one to get--highly recommended!

I really do like your emulators but when using this or another emulator through a launcher I don't seem to be able to say launch a pc engine game then quit and launch a pc engine cd game.i get an error about "can't change file path" and I have to go through menus to load the game.is there a way round this so I can launch directly from launchers to make that work better?

Running on a Nvidia Shield TV Pro. Last update fixed my issues with not loading cdroms. HuCard images working fine. Cdrom images running fine. Some games and save states don't play nice with the 6 button controller enabled, had to disable 6 button and delete save states using it to get the games to run normally. Old save states can also reset your controller configuration to what it was at that time in that game. Delete the save state and reset the game in the menu to fix.

Very good! I am able to find and play loads of classic old arcade shoot em up games with fantastic pixel art.works great with retroBluetooth controller. If I could ask for 1 feature. Screenshot to rom cover. The list of ROMs has no pictures in menu as default. Just ROM titles. It would be great if you could screenshot part of the game as cover art for the ROM. There is already screenshot option to save as external image. It should automatically just also use the same image as menu ROM cover art.

Superb means to revisit games of yesteryear! I still haven't been able to choose settings for turbofire/autofire though. I suspect I may be overlooking something. My button pressing is not as quick today as it was thirty years ago, especially on a touchscreen.

This seems to run great on my galaxy . I don't know how to get cd games to run I'm being asked for system card in options but can't find.This console was one of my first and favourites, it was an 8bit system far ahead in years.it could achieve amazing tricks with sprites.if anyone could let me know how to get cds to run I would appreciate it Thank You. If I get cd games to work at fairly accurate speeds this emulator deserves 5**.

This is the absolute best and only PCE emulator I've found that actually work on my android phone. Not only does it play Turbografx games, it also plays Supergrafx CD games as well. Optimal sound quality, video quality and game play 👌 there is honestly no better application out there. You just need to have a bios to play Supergrafx CD games which was honestly easy to find and to get working. I never owned this console as a kid so this gave me a chance to play games I missed out on.

Currently the best TG-16/PCE emulator for Android, simply because you can map gamepad buttons for turbo. You can turn turbo on and off in the Retroarch core (Beetle PCE Fast) but it doesn't work. Otherwise it loads every game I've thrown at it. Perfect.

Very easy to setup. Runs great. All you have to do is get the pc engine bios file and your rom and you're good to go! All other PC Engine emulators are so complicated.
