Good but not fully accurate.

When i walk around the house, it count some steps but not all. Once i took like 20 steps and it only counted 1. I rlly rlly RLLY like this game tho. The pikmin are really cute and it’s fun to give them nectar until the flowers fall off sadly. Also the coins are pretty easy to collect in this compared to pokemon go bc idk how to in Pokemon. The ar thing is also cool because i can just watch them sit there as my cat passes where they are and it looks like they are just relaxing on my cat’s head. Please please PLEASE make it so i can link kid accounts/accounts with parental controls on it! I sent a request and my dad accepted it and yet i still couldnt link my nintendo account. It keeps you moving, can do it with friends, pikman are so cute, I enjoy finding new pikman and exploring new place. / Only downside is the step count isn't 100% accurate, 80% of the pikman grown aren't special like when using the bull horn in special areas, I wish you could trade pikman, or give a friend a gift like flowers or nectar from your supply. Only gifts come from the store. But overall I recommend everyone play this game, very enjoyable. Play it daily you will too. Give it a try 😁!

Fun interactive app. However, does not sync with a Fitbit. Only connects with the health app. If you don’t carry your phone everywhere with you it does not provide a true representation of movement. Trying to sync the health app to your fit bit doesn’t work well either. Please create an update that syncs with your Fitbit.

hello, I just wanted to say I love the game and I love how fairly balanced everything is. this review is not anything negative it’s just suggestions that I think in my opinion would be good for the game, first, I would say there should be a special type of mushroom for each Pikmin, you know like something like mighty mushrooms for purple Pickman, which are stronger than usual, or floating mushrooms (I know that sounds ridiculous) for winged pikmin, and thermal air mushrooms for ice Pikmin!, Again this is just a suggestion you don’t have to do it, but it would be pretty cool if you guys did, my second suggestion would probably be to add glow Pikmin for nighttime walking! I also think they should have their own mushrooms that falls in the yellow category because there’s no other yellow mushroom for Nectar, that would be pretty cool too. anyways, thank you for keeping the game alive and so much fun and I hope you see this review.

Can’t finish a flower planting challenge because the app keeps ending flower planting automatically while I’m walking. FRUSTRATING. Also, while planting, it indicates that 13 petals should plant about 200 flowers on foot. However, it only ever plants 1 to 1. ANNOYING!

I love this game! I played Pikmin growing up and this has been a fun way to get more steps in with my friends. It’s my new fave app! My largest issue is that I frequently find that the location for Pikmin isn’t current, so my decor doesn’t align with where I really got my Pikmin. As an example, I recently got a Pikmin near Sears department store, which hasn’t existed in my town since 2018 - 8 whole years. Not a huge issues, but would love to see some sort of update.

Pokemon Go clone—gets old fast.

An advertisement influenced me for the first time in years, when I walked through the Seattle Westlake station and found large flyers for this game on every single wall. I downloaded the game and gave it a try. For my first couple days playing, Pikmin Bloom was cute and nostalgic. Around the fourth day, I realize nothing had really happened gameplay-wise and the novelty of the game had most certainly worn away. Graphics, gameplay, events, etc. are almost identical to what we experienced during the Pokemon Go COVID-19 craze. I’m a little shocked that this game was approved by Niantic leadership given that it really is just a clone of Pokemon Go, but with even fewer features.

I want to enjoy this game—it has a really cute theme, and the music is really calming and nice. I’m operating on iPad though, and whenever I open something like the missions menu, I’m softlocked with a super-zoomed in screen that I can’t click out of. I thought I could ignore it, but when I reload the app, I keep being prompted to receive a golden seedling, which forces me into another inescapable menu. I hoped I could bypass this, but every single time, it gives me this same seedling. I also hate how limited the character customization is. I guess I’ll need to just figure out how to fix my Nintendo account so that I can link my account, because so far, I’m barred from doing that, which seems ridiculous to me, but there’s probably some reason for why child accounts are prevented from having basic perms, I guess. Which is crazy since I gave the app my date of birth which indicates that indeed I am an adult but whatever

Pikmin is one of my favorite games on the planet! I love that pikmin bloom makes playing pikmin a part of my regular life. I love tracking my steps, collecting postcards and decor pikmin as I travel. Its so fun to play with my family, and I love how its collaboration with Pikmin 4 as well. Great game, cute mushrooms adorable lil creatures. My only complaint is I wish it was a little bit more like Pokémon go as far as getting coins, I find the step tracker is harder with my lifestyle.

Yes, there's micro purchases. But for the most progress, you HAVE to actually play the game which is amazing. I hate games where all progression can just be bought. It makes playing feel worthless and it just becomes who can spend the most amount of money. Additionally, this game has actually gotten me outside and walking more. Touch grass without getting bored

(No ads btw) Although you cannot earn anything in the app from walking on a treadmill, Pikmin bloom encourages players to walk outside and get fresh air. Technically consensually “forcing” you to go touch grass or else you don’t get anything. I’ve lost a bunch of fat just from a month of playing Pikmin bloom (weight stayed same bc I’m building muscle as well) and it’s so fun too, also a good way to connect with friends and stay active with them as you can friend others and fight mushroom for extra rewards. You earn more with stronger Pikmen so that encourages you to farm steps as well. Very smart way to get people moving and very simplistic.

Fun game but uses too much battery

I started playing this game during the pandemic with my partner. It is motivating to get me out walking sometimes. The biggest drawback is how much battery it uses and that limits how much I interact with the game. When I look at battery health., Pikmin is always listed first as using as much as 60% of my battery. Hope the developers can focus on making the app less draining.

It's fun, but you have to stare at the screen the whole time you are walking. It kind of defeats the purpose of a walk. And when your screen closes or loses a connection, it still uses petals as you walk, but doesn't plant the flowers. The challenges are easier at the beginning of the month, but by the end, you'll find you are buying coins just to get that last type of flower petal that you need. You pay to play less, as it were.

I live in Mountain House, CA. I have noticed a significant lack of flowers and mushrooms in this area. Additionally, many map locations are incorrectly categorized. For instance, most commercial areas, including a Costco located 15 minutes away, are labeled as 'Roadside.' I would appreciate it if these two issues could be addressed and improved.

Spoofers are ruining this game.. I live in a very quiet area where my family are literally the only people who play, so with that we are able to hold Giant Mushrooms throughout the weekdays but for the past 6 months or so we are getting hit by people we've never seen before and their names are always Korean or Japanese. We are getting very frustrated and it's ruining the experience dealing with these pathetic people. Please for the love of this game do something about the spoofers!

By far the slowest app on my phone, has countless bugs, and drains battery like nothing else but I keep it because I like to have the little pikmins. If you play for over a year you will have to make in app purchases practically guaranteed to sustain the amount of pikmin you collect. Niantic you have so much money surely you can fix the bugs at least, why is it like this.

everything on this app remain the same since 2022, even now when the game is popular again, there is no visible upgrade and changes in terms of user experience. In short, the UI/UX is still not very user friendly, visual lacks aesthetic, SUPER BUGGY, and the petals collection is greatly inconvenience. u need to whistle 100 times in order to collect all the damn petals. Pikman Bloom is an addictively enjoyable collecting and evolving game. Walk around, find pikman, grow, and battle mushrooms with others. I wish there were more frequent updates and fixes. I wish evolving was faster. It gets to be a little to much of a grind once you get to the higher levels.

I've been wanting to write a review for a while since I have been enjoying the app. Sure, they could make several improvements like getting back to the home page faster from say the mushroom raid screen, but I wouldn't know where to leave that feedback. Anyway, I had gotten more than 10,000 steps in the last event, but the game set it back to 7581. It's done this before, but never this much. I am sad. The game does encourage me to walk a bit more. I am playing after being in hospital and walking is good for recovery. It has a funny quirk of saying I'm going too fast when I am not, I can only walk slowly and sometimes it says it when I am sitting for a rest. Unfortunately you have to be in an area where other people are playing. A trip to the countryside meant there was nothing, no flowers, no mushrooms, no way to complete goals. Also the game does seem to chew up phone battery.

The 10,000-step Community Day challenge is unnecessarily inaccessible. The event lasts an entire weekend, yet players must complete all 10,000 steps within a single day instead of across both days. This makes participation much harder for older, disabled, chronically ill, or mobility-limited players. I ended another Community Day just 1,500 steps short at midnight, with raw ankles and significant hip and knee pain from pushing too far. Please make the goal cumulative across the full event. why?

while this is the best walking game I've found so far, it has some frustrating features. Recently, they more than doubled the mushrooms near me, but took away big flowers at the same time. flowers motivate getting more steps, and my closest ones are gone now. I hope that's temporary. please bring back more flowers, trade in the new mushrooms for big flowers please, as they are what get me out walking!

I'm enjoying it a lot and am interested to see what they do with the app! It's nice and relaxing for cycling and walking. However, there are couple of things that I'd like to see adjusted. First, you can name Pikmen, which is awesome, but it would be really nice to be able to sort by the name. The other thing was just the pay to progress/expand aspect. The prices are quite expensive when you are setting up the game so that people will eventually feel the need to spend the money to continue.

Dropped this down to a 1 star review until I figure out how to get rid of the new bar on top telling me to turn on notifications for the app. I don't care how much I can customize the notification options—if I want to disable them through Android settings that's my prerogative and I shouldn't have a permanent banner taking up screen space telling me to turn them on.

this app very aggressively asks for permission to all of your photos And media among other really intense permissions, on top of that it doesn't even accurately track steps , I ride the metro to and from work and it logs thousands of extra steps. needs a lot of work

Been playing this game for almost 2 years (sept2024) and this week I have had SEVERE performance issues I have never had before. Frequent stutters and even freezes for multiple seconds and it even happens while I am out walking and planting flowers. Did something change in the backend or can it be test related? I like this as a pedometer, getting me out and about to have little walking goals, to much grander when you go up a level on the monthly events. Definitely one of the fun apps that has a lot less pressure to constantly on it. Just a fun exploration walk, growing and meeting new friends along the way.

However it's a passive game that encourages you to walk (not run or bike, walk specifically) which imo isn't the worst game to be addicted to. I'm really lazy and don't care about my health, but this adorable app has been making me want to get off my chair and walk. I finally figured out the decor system and I'm obsessed!! I love that I can grow special seedlings by walking around. I don't have any friends on the app but I still love collecting the postcards. A great motivation to get out walking. Monetization doesn't feel aggressive or pay to win which isn't demotivating, so I am more likely to pay money to support the game vs feel forced to pay.
