An absolute best gacha game I've ever played in my live. stunning character designs, very interesting story and accurate culture representations. but what's infuriating is that, the endgame modes are HEAVILY powercrept. Marcus rankup or Jiu FuA don't work anymore, you have to pull limited characters and their BiS supports for archetypes. also, the limited characters aren't even truly limited anymore since they rerun more frequently than most standard characters. Supporting the game nonetheless<3

Honestly beautiful game, but it's terrible for F2P players. The Collab event is too hard for new players l, to where it's actually unplayable unless your characters are maxed out, which takes so long to achieve once, let alone an entire team. whoever thought up enemies that heal 50% their max health every turn after 5 turns, along with teammates, needs to actually try the game out. edit: it's actually way worse, enemies will heal up to 100% hp regardless of stun or petrified.

Very beautiful game. I have played ever since the Launch but went off and on. Catching up to the new Meta is sort of exhausting. The game pretty much benefits long time investment which is pretty fair and reasonable, but once you skipped two patches? Yeah, pretty stuffy. Overall though? Great game!! The art and voice acting for this game is phenomenal! The story is such an interesting premise (not going to spoil anything here). Since it's such an early version, there have to be a couple of changes that would make the game better, such as raising the stamina cap (minimum of 300 at least). It would also be beneficial to show a recommended build for the characters. Looking forward to what this dev studio can do.

Downloaded for the Atomic Heart event so I'm a new player. There's a serious flaw where new players will not be able to complete the story due to broken game mechanics. I need to upgrade an item, but in order to upgrade it, I need to unlock the side game mode. In order to unlock the game mode, I need to beat the event story. It's literally impossible unless you have a really overpowered team. since I'm new, even the recommended team lvl does no dmg to the enemies. Thanks for wasting my time

The last 6 months this game has gone downhill pretty drastically. It went from very chill, with lots of player expression to Archetype teams you need to constantly pull for even when you have nothing to pull. In addition to that, the endgame leans on this beyond reasonability dictating it wants specific archetype entirely or youre SoL. And in what poorly optimized universe has this game ballooned to 20gb? With the price of memory these days you should pay rent to your players to host your game.

This is the BEST game I have ever played. Whilst in the first few story chapters there are some slight translation issues (awkward grammar) it gets sorted pretty quickly! I love the voice acting, esp. the fact that characters have realistic accents. The story is super interesting and fresh, the art style is amazing, and best of all there are no ads (NONE!) and it is not a pay to win at all, with paid options like some event skins, but even then you can get them for free/discounted sometimes.

Great Game! Stunning graphics, Divine voice acting 10/10✨️, unique character designs, easy to understand the game mechanics once you get used to it. The only complaint I have is that the "hot fixes" are SO Heavy. I was FORCED to quit playing for a year after my old phone ran out of storage (R1999 was the only app left on it too btw). So i couldn't play until I got a new phone, now storage isn't the issue, it's how LONG it takes to "Repair"/Update the game. It usually takes 2 FULL DAYS💀

Amazing character designs, very f2p-friendly, and the story is absolutely to die for. The only thing I want to recommend is to reset levels of the characters, for someone like me who may find grinding tedious, as well as, the celllular activity since it doesn't regenerate if it exceed the maximum amount. Hopefully, in next update, it regenerates so players can progress faster. Overall, I fully recommend it. No doubt, the best gacha game out there to exist.

I cant get into the game and tried countless times for years the UI on the main menu is soo cluttered and confusing. the puzzle side mini games can be really interesting and fun. The character designs feel abit boring and your whole roster is just french women and maybe a robot. When comparing it to summoners wars or epic seven it just feels really bland. the unique card style battle is a nice concept but it just feels like its missing something.

well, it was a decent game. the combat is pretty good, pull chances are decent, the story is generally okay (if not prone to holes that are expected in time travel plots. it's okay to follow but requires a certain suspension of disbelief) but the translation of it isn't the best. some of the event plots are main story linked, though. however, they do something AMAZING. the main character is a PERSON, and not even just like that MC in Genshin with no personality, as Vertin actually does stuff. 4*

This game is great, I'm in love, especially with the characters! The thing is, it does feel a little difficult to get pulls, but it's actually pretty easy in the long run. Unfortunately, it does feel like the luck when pulling for a 6-Star feels rigged, but it's kinda fine for me. Gameplay is unmatched and the details are amazing, even if you skip a story it gives you a small summary of what you missed! Boring unfortunately

I downloaded this game out for boredom and couldn’t keep playing other Gacha game due to space issues. (genshin,hsr,zzz,wuwa,nte). I heard this game has great story but to me it’s boring. In between story’s you have to complete puzzles and battles to continue, which puts me off. The optimizing in this game is okay I guess. But whenever I try to complete just 1 part, it’s kicks me off and it doesn’t save on the part before I got kick. The battles isn’t fun but the characters do look cute while fighting. It’s a shame I couldn’t like this game because it’s hard to fine a Gacha game with lots of diversity. To me, playing this game is like reading a boring stuffy book. I heard that r1990 is making an open-world game so I might try that because I like having more freedom to do in a game. I would recommend playing limbus company than this.

Game looks like Flash animation from the 2000s, where the characters are 2D and have an idle animation where the character is stretched back and forth, nothing more. Gameplay seems pretty simplistic. Great Story, But What Am I Doing?

I came for the interesting story and great voice acting, but had to leave because I couldn’t figure out what to do to progress. There are so many resources and I don’t know what at least 75% of them are for. The game never told me. In order to continue the story, I need to level up characters. In order to level up characters, I have to summon more characters. In order to do that, I have to either pay money or get 1-2 different types of items. There are SO MANY different materials it gives me and I was never told by the game what any of them are used for. There’s so many menus and different things that I just don’t know what I’m doing. I really want to keep going in the story, but I feel like I’m stuck, and I’m only in the 3rd chapter.

I first saw this games ads when I was just about to go global and I had a lot of fun playing it once it finally did come out. Sadly I lost my original account because I thought it would be better to restart since I built my account pretty badly. But it wasn’t too hard to get back all the things I lost so I’m glad! The game is really easy to learn and it’s not hard to get good characters for your team. The only downside is that you can get bored of the game for a while but even that could have some good things from it. Cause if you log off for long enough you can get extra few from it as a returning gift. ITS VERY USEFUL TOO!!!…Ahhh…I LOVE REVERSE 1999!!!!!

Gameplay is extremely simplistic so it relies on strength of narrative/characters to carry it, but the translation of the script is so bad (you can literally hear the VAs fighting the script when they speak) that it drags down the entire experience. Not super grindy feeling.. for example no need to grind for dupes like other gacha games just get a 6* and start upgrading. Any dupes make them better but definitely not needed!! I’ve spent a good amount of money in this one and have never felt regret/buyers remorse! If there is any mobile gacha game I would recommend to a friend it would be this one!

I'm a big fan of game graphics, but I wish the game would add Vietnamese as another language option. That would be great!

Great game 10/10

I don’t review games a lot, but as someone who keeps getting bored or frustrated with other gacha games I love Reverse 1999. The art style is gorgeous the story is somehow even better and cultural appreciation is something I love to see.

Yay, they fixed performance on iPad 9!

I love the game but had to switch to other platforms due to crashes, previously. But they updated the game engine for 3.2 and now everything seems fine, even with HD graphics pack.

Compelling story, poorly done combat

As an avid player of Reverse 1999, its deviation from the traditional gacha plays to its strengths. With interesting designs like a literal dog that manages to still feel human, it’s no doubt you’ll find a favorite. As of late, newer characters rarely receive non-humanoid adjacent designs at the least. What’s also infuriating is how 5 stars (upper bound rarity being 6) just aren’t meta relevant at all. I applaud the acknowledgement of many 6 stars falling out of meta (and thus getting an upscale through a mechanic known as Euphoria) but the way this is gone about is relatively poor to returning players. With 2 new Euphoria’s released every patch, and only being able to get enough for 1 means f2p’s are constantly bottle-necked in progression. The story is well-done and characters are attachable but it feels as though Reverse 1999 is strongly attached to European representation over any other country and continent. In a story about leaping through different periods, the lack of visiting to places such as the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Eastern Asia is largely unrealistic.

Unoptimized New Events

The writing and the characterizations have all been very good and up to the standard that we got from Bluepoch, but it's suffering from major latency that I haven't seen since the 1 year anniversary event. Logging into the game alone takes 10-15s and the one of the gamemode "Syndrome of Silent" is very telling of this issue. I haven't played or rather i can't finish the gamemode cause of how laggy it is, the damage calculations is the main cause each time i finish lining up my cards, it'd take longer than the last cause of several conditional buffs i activated. And it crashed an otherwise stable game until now. And "Syndrome of the Silent" is a varient of "Window to other worlds" but far easier. It uses the same mechanic and layout but in "Window" they are still stable to run from day one so it's kinda suprising how bad it can get with the coding to make it this unoptimised considering they were very successful with "Window" in terms of optimization regards. And the "event system" seems to not understand the crashes from "losing" cause at the same time when it crashed for me and i booted up again, it counted as a failure even when all of my allies are at full hp and I lost a life in the run. And even then, during other gamemodes when it crashed or i logged out for too long, i can always retry with no penalty or continue where i left off cause the game will save all of the details in your unfinished fight. Otherwise, everything runs fine. Even the main event but it seems to be crashing constantly in "Syndrome" as I'm currently playing on mobile, so i can only guess that it'll slow down greatly on PC and the likes
