Saturn.emu (Saturn Emulator)

Needs a few Upgrades, Works Great. It needs the ability to change disc without the txt to m3u hassle. There needs to be analog support for games that support it. Other than the it plays pretty much every Saturn Game. With the LCD Filter it looks and plays perfectly.

I usually love all the emulators from this guy, but the performance in this is.. lacking. it needs a decently powerful chip or this is super choppy. running on the nvidia shield is a no go. I have another emulator that runs perfect on the shield.. so as old as that box is.. it isn't the issue.

This emulation is outdated. There's a game breaking bug in Uru Passage on disc 2 in Panzer Dragoon Saga because of this outdated app. I had to start over the game from beginning using RetroArch emulation complete this game.

In my opinion, 10 out of 10 sega sarurn emularor, however some updates I would suggest to make it not annoying like save or opening up a manule save, would be to get rid of the visual effects when saving or when the menu appears when the 3 dots are pressed or the annoying pop-ups from time to time. Yet, for now thats all I can think of 10 out of 10!

Simple UI, but works very well. Will need a powerful chip to run smoothly. (I used Poco X3 Pro). It crashed after 3 turns when playing Gihren's Greed though. But it's great to see someone porting mednafen to Android. Hope that it gets more stable over time. Giving a 4 stars for now.

Fantastic emulator in terms of accuracy and performance that would be a 5 with some user guidance, support for analogue control, and custom button mapping (the button mapping in the menus have no effect), which are all basics.

Saturn on emulator are very hard to play, even on some modern phones and PC. This emu is well done and it plays almost everything. Especially the fighting games like Virtua Fighter. What this emu needs is some cheats input. So far, a good emu for a Saturn like this.

I tried to play on my samsung galaxy a04e mortal kombat trilogy in differents format: (zip or chd) and the app don't read any format and when I close it a message appears that I have to clean the cache from the app and keeps telling me that and always crash.

After downloading a bios, I've had some issues with games that are downloaded in a .cue .iso format. This emulator runs .chd files with little issue. I personally had to set audio buffer frames to 1 for the best experince though I am unsure if that is an isue specific to a samsung tanlet A9. Blue tooth controller support is nice to have. Please ignore the one star reviews I think they forgot to or were unaware they had to get their own bios files like with duckstation.

Great stuff. I got this for my RP4 pro from Github, but it's so good I've bought it on my phone as well in order to support the dev and leave this review. Has played everything I've tried, including problematic 2d stuff like SFA3, XM: COTA, etc & fewer graphical glitches than Yaba. Immediately better than YS imo and has got me right back into Saturn again simply by being so solid. Obvious requests: Individual game profiles, analogue gamepad compatibility, resolution upscaling. Get it.

My favourite Saturn emulator, runs fantastic on the retroid pocket classic 6. I love the simplicity in getting my games to run, compared to other Saturn emulators. i only wish is that it can automatically select the right bios region for the games. Overall i am very happy

This emu sucks I can load the games but every one has lag which Leeds to stuttering sounds I have tryed all settings but still no good must be my device but yaba 2 pro works with little to no stutter just glitches in the games.

This emulates every game I've tried really well on S22. However, it won't save regularly. I can only use save states. I can set up file path and everything but when I save in game it just doesn't keep a record of it. Idk maybe I'm missing something. 🤔

Incredible performance on redmi note 9 (entry to lower mid level android phone) Happy to support this development as Saturn emulation has traditionally required expensive hardware requirements and compatibility issues were the norm. Comments about low resolution maybe switch linear interpolation off? This emulator would be a game changer if available as a core in retroarch or as standalone in Linux for a custom OS like Knulli. Thank you for giving the Saturn the attention it deserves!

Excellent Sega Saturn Emulator. Link bios (for best performance use multi region bios) and ram cartridge, then link ISO/bin folder. This is an excellent emulator worth purchasing. 5 🌟

The negative reviews come from folks with weaker phones or handhelds. I seldom write reviews, but S.Emu deserves one. It's a little feature-light and minimalist in design, but it's much more accurate than YS2 and far less headache than RA cores! The Grandia & Lunar FMVs that plagued my existence work fantastic on S.Emu. It's based off of Mednafen which should be your choice on the Steam Deck as well!

It's a pretty great emulator. I can run sega rally real smooth without getting any ugly blue pixels all over the track which happens in Yaba Sanshiro. But does this support the 3D control pad??? I'm playing games with an analog stick and triggers but I can't find any options in here for that. Would be really nice to play sega rally plus and Sega touring car with analog support.

This is more like it! Apart from the resolution not being as sharp as other emulators on my RP4 Pro, it plays every single title I threw at it. No crashing or insisting on particular file types. Well worth the money. More power to the devs. I had to play the *shudders* psx versions of my fave 32bit games 'til this came along. 5 stars. If there was options to increase resolution, it would be the best Saturn emu on the market. Right now, it's still way better than YS 2 Pro.

Can confirm it works very well with a good Bios. Google "Saturn bios Reddit" to find the files. Then set path to bio file in Options. I'm deducting a star because setting a game path is strange. Will say "filepath not found". I think it's the format my game was in bin/cue. Also refused to work with a zip file containing bin/cue with error "corrupted zip" or something like that. I think all of this is simply because your games need to be in the right format and the error messaging is confusing.

It's an incredible emulator for saturn, if we considerate that only exist two emulators for this console I'd say that this is the next Gen emulator because require more power or one cell phone with better specs but, the graphics and performance in my devices in games like burning rangers it's amazing it's the best emulator for Sega Saturn since of my perspective.
