wow, I'm about 5 hours in and I'm absolutely blown away. I wanted to get this on steam but the $35 felt a bit too steep (want those steam achieves), I know it's also available on gog and might snag it there but I decided to get this for my Lenovo legion gaming tablet and what a good idea. thank you for the controller support. this feels peak any chance you guys could add 16:10 support? the very first splash screen has it but as soon as the game actually opens it's a 16:9 with two banding bars.

I'm about 8 hours in and I'm really enjoying it! It has the vibes of a SNES RPG at like 10x resolution. The story is fun. The combat is fresh and challenging, yet fair. The controls/UI are perfectly adapted for touchscreen. Better than something like ff6 pixel remaster. I believe the steam version has multiplayer. That would be really fun on mobile since my wife also bought the game on iOS. But that would probably be tough since it's two devices. Overall really great job!

Probably the best mobile port I've ever played. Controls are wonderful, even for my tiny elf hands and huge phone. Runs smoothly and looks great. Although I wonder if left-handed players would like to switch sides. The game itself has gone through significant editing since its release, to its benefit. If you played it years ago and loved everything except the writing, consider giving it another try.

The game looks great, but I did not buy this to play it on my phone screen. I have the Xreal glasses, and I hoped to play it on my floating 120 inch screen and in 3D. But this game won't work with the mouse I also use while in Xreal mode. I want to play this game, just not on the tiny phone screen. Sea of Stars es uno de los mejores juegos Pixelart que he jugado nunca. El juego se siente vivo, te envuelven sus escenarios con el arte, los colores y la iluminación. Un detalle “tonto” que me sorprendió y habla muy bien del nivel de detalle es que en una cueva habían unas columnas verdes de cristal, al pasar por detrás los personajes no solo se difuminaron sutilmente, también se distorsionó su forma y se iluminaron del mismo color, tal como sucede con el vidrio. Lo que hicieron con pixeles me parece imposible de superar… Además la historia es increíble, nunca sabes qué esperar en la próxima misión y tiene bastante contenido. Llevo ya 22h de juego pero creo que no he superado ni el 50% de la historia. Y la música, la música es INCREIBLE. Súbanle el volumen al máximo porque se lo merece. Recuerdo entrar a la Isla Espectral, ir a la taberna del pueblo, y quedarme como 15 min escuchando cada una de las 10 canciones que tocó la banda de los piratas. Simplemente me parecía descortés con los desarrolladores no quedarme a escuchar. Gracias por este juego y terminando esta merecida reseña seguiré disfrutando la obra maestra que nos regalaron :)

The game is excellent. It captures the feel of the games that inspired it like Chrono Trigger while still doing new things so it’s not just a boring retread of successful ideas. It seems to be missing the Throes of the Watchmaker scenario despite otherwise being on par with the pc and console release. It’s unclear if there is an issue keeping it from starting or if it’s not part of the mobile release but the latter seems unlikely in light of how it otherwise matches other versions. Either way it needs to be addressed.

Fresh and fun combat, great story and characters, nice music. And beautiful graphics that eat up your battery life and turn your phone into an oven. This game is great while you can play it, you just can't play it very long. I first notice lag in the audio right away, and then in the visuals and feedback after not even 5 minutes of play. My phone model is not old or cheap. It needs some serious performance improvements, or at least an option for a lower graphics setting.

This game first caught my attention back in 2020. I was hoping it would come to IOS. 90% through and I just love it. While it may not have the strong storyline of Chrono Trigger, it’s still a nice storyline overall. I love that they removed a lot of the little hurdles that made old school JRPGs hard, and streamlined everything else. Highly recommend to everyone who love the genre. Hoping we get a port of The Messenger now 😭

It did freeze up at the true ending epilogue, but its all good. minigames were fun and this was one heck of a good way to spend a weekend or two. great game. my gripe is with the gamepad. the game does display buttons from the razr kishi ultra. When changing from day to night, I have to switch back to touch controls, because there is no way to customize gamepad buttons, and no way to use LR buttons like you can on the switch. Most noticeable on battles when it says hold down "_" to charge, when it should have said hold down "a" to charge or something similar. please add gamepad customized controls and I will change to 5 stars. Graphical glitch in the abandoned wizards lab. Takes a few minutes but it occurs and doesn’t cause a crash. Never had issues before this point in the game. It's fun so far, I'm liking the combat mechanics, it sort of reminds me of Expedition 33. I am having one small issue though. The game doesn't show controller glyphs. What should be "press A to climb/block/etc" says "Press _ to climb/block/etc". Even when looking in the "how to play" guide, it still shows an underscore for the button press. It's nothing game breaking or anything, just more of an eyesore.

Bugged as hell in most crucial moments. i.e, if I open equip menu fishing I can't leave it. or when I am with the mist something guy 'concentrating' for 'dawn' or something, the same story. Oh, I am using gamesir pad, there's no more common pad and the game does not recognize its buttons. why? If they fixed them, however, the game would be awesome, the mechanics are great :)

I played this game once on consoles and was excited when they announced it was coming to mobile. I want to see more games like this come to mobile platforms. It plays exactly like the console versions. It has full controller support and can switch between controller and touch seamlessly. It also seamlessly transfers your save between devices so you can play on tablet at home and then on your phone when you're on the go. Excellent game. Great story. Worth checking out for any RPG fan.

Just going to state my reason for not playing. Extra block function (tapping before getting hit) is so dumb. It barely works. Same with the attacking. I just want to play without having to do additional "work". Attack should just attack. Block should based on your armour. Just to say, I did enjoy the game. Artwork, story. Just the tapping in time to do extra damage. I'm too slow lol

Original I had bought this on my Switch and loved it so much that I figured I’d buy it on my phone as well since I never take my Switch with me. The only reason I’m giving the version 4 starts is because there is 0 graphics controls and my iPhone 16 pro max is better than my Switch and the Switch version looked better. Second the game needs more quick saves because there has been a few times where I left the game closed for too long only to come back and lose 30-45 minutes of work.. but still highly recommend this game. One of the better stories to come out as of late.

The game crashes one or twice an hour. Always triggered by battles with a lot of movement that causes it to stutter for about five seconds before crashing. I'm done re-doing boss fights and having to avoid battles in areas where the crash is reproducible. UNINSTALLED since it ALWAYS crashes at a boss now. This game is a ripoff of Chrono Trigger with less features, weak story plot, and a lot of bugs. No other apps running and rebooting phone after this game crashes doesn't help. Redmagic 11 Pro.

I am playing on the hardest difficulty (relic toggle). Some fights are either way too easy or impossible. The plant boss for example, there's no way to retrace your steps and level up your characters more. I don't like the idea of toggling relics to make specific fights easier. I would've liked if there were relics that makes it more clear when to crit/parry and another that makes hitting those timings more significant. The relic that glimmers once you hit it is kind of useless.

I’m not one to leave many reviews. I think last time I left a review was for Nexomon: Extinction. Just like that one, I have to leave a review because both share some characteristics you cannot help but love. You can tell when developers love their work. I was so impressed with characters who were not stale. They didn’t leave everything to gameplay to carry the game. They gave you art, a great world design that’s beautiful and my favorite was the plot with characters you Loved! Have way into the game, I found myself dreading the moment when I’d get to the end. Surprisingly it was longer than expected so I was able to relish the time until that last mission. Guys - trust me. You will love this game. There’s humor, a refreshing take to old fashion designs and I cannot wait for the studios next installment. I heard there’s a DLC? Please bring it to IOS.

the artwork is quite literally the most beautiful i've ever played on the iphone. gameplay is fantastic. music is beautiful. what an amazing game. we need more developers like this. easily worth the purchase price if you're friending for a zelda meets final fantasy tactics style game
