Slay the Spire

Pretty much a perfect game and a serviceable mobile port. Put tons of hours into the game on PC and another phone.

Great game, bad port. It's just the desktop app with a mouse emulator. A very frustrating tap and drag experience, with tiny icons to boot. Tapping one card and then tapping the one next to it will trigger a drag motion instead of a select, and the tiny Confirm button requires 1-3 taps to work. Absolutely kills the flow. I regret the purchase.

Pirates Outlaws is straight up the better game. For a long time, I was frustrated by Slay the Spire in terms of selecting and deselecting a card. That one mechanic almost ruins the entire game. However, it gets better on a tablet, where I was actually able to beat the game with at least one character. Ultimately, this game is better than Indie's Lies, but not as good as Pirates Outlaws. I don't regret buying this game, but I am very much looking forward to a better UX in the sequel.

It’s a great game on PC, but there’s no achievements or cross-save and newer Android versions prevent you from even accessing the save folder if you want to export or import it manually.

This is RLLY great! I noticed the past reviews are not very good, so I imagine the port has been adapted somewhat recently. I'm playing in an old chromebook and in my experience the game plays great and runs smoothly. It very rarely crashes, and seems to be just like the PC version in terms of content.

Disconnect Google Play Games (Permanent Fix) Open the Google Play Games app Locate and open the dedicated green "Play Games" app on your phone (not the standard Google Play Store). Open Settings Tap your profile icon or the menu button to access the settings menu. Change game accounts Scroll down to the "Your data" section and tap Change account for games. Sign out of Slay the Spire Find Slay the Spire in the app list, tap Change next to it, and select Sign out

The controls ruin play throughs. No excuse for this as its a card game. Multiple random encounter fail each time. You are meant to select a card in the encounter this cannot be done. It's not a wildly complex game so the fact the controls are so bad is really unfortunate. Art / design is nothing special. Would be 4 stars if controls worked. More enemy variation would be nice.

My first true rouge like deck builder, and it is awesome. I had heard a ton of praise from people who rate mobile games and games in general and they said it was great. They weren't wrong. Can't wait to get Slay the Spire 2 on my pc soon.

Controls are a nightmare. Selecting or deselecting cards is so bad I've played cards I dont want to play multiple times every run. When dumping an hour or more of free time into this game, thats really bad.

I absolutely love this game. One of my favourite games these days, and at least top 10 of all time. However, like many others in the reviews, I have lost 90% of my progress. It randomly asked me to select which account to use for my save (I only have one) and reset me to 3h 24 minutes of playtime. I had ~34. This is extremely frustrating and I don't understand why so many people have complained about it and nothing is happening still?

love this game and I can't wait to get Slay the spire 2. Also the developers apparently are decent people with, "get this" INTEGRITY! They turned down big game studio money to stay true to their vision for STS 2. We need more people like this in all aspects of business

More than 100hrs on both Slay the Spire and Slay the Spire 2, and even though the UI and gameplay was clunky, I still had my 60+hrs of fun nonetheless. That was until the game decided that the cloud save triumphed over the local save, and rolled back all my progress. I lost at least 40 of those 60hrs, 5 difficult achievements and 6 ascensions... The game always used to ask me which save I would like to keep, but it decided not to this time. This review will stay 1 star until this gets fixed.

Not much I can say that hasn't been said before. StS is a landmark title in the roguelike and deckbuilder genres. Very fun yo play casually OR seriously. -1 star for the app in particular because there is NO officially supported means to sync data between the mobile and steam versions of the game. How hard can it be?? Its all just unlocks and ascension levels man! unfortunate...

The game crashes during cloud sync if I start it without internet connection. It should use the saves stored locally if no internet connectivity is present. Fix offline mode or give me a refund. Cant play this on metro.

If you encounter an issue of any sort with this game then you will have no where to turn to. The developer support ignored my email on a three occasions over the course of 2 months. I kept my emails polite and respectful, but still did no hear back. Google play store sent them a warning and still no response. For that reason I would not recommend purchasing anything from this developer.

the game is great, however I have been facing save state bugs that delete progress, after winning 2 runs with the defect and reaching ascension 2 and closing the game, on the next time I launch the game all that progress is gone this happened around 2 or 3 times now, it looks like a saving or a save synch issue

I'm old 34 massive gamer, this is one of the greatest strategy games to ever exist. It has a lot a lot a lot of replayability with the random cards and relics you get on each run. You will not win every run when you first start, that is okay, the game is hard, but you will grow and get better, or you can look up strategies and if you must. I recommend playing all 4 characters but really learn one at a time as they are very very different
