Loved the Game… and its Glitches!

So, I was playing storyteller, yes? I was moving through the game pretty smoothly, probably cuz I knew how the characters worked and such. But then I found 2 funny glitches. The first glitch was patched, but it was in the chapter where Hansel ate his sister… except when the witch threw the frog in the oven and Hansel ate it, I had the witch toss the ghost of gretel into the oven this time, and it resulted in Hansel eating it with a pink and blue square (which I shall refer to as a placeholder square for simplicity from now on) in his thought bubble. However, this glitch got recently patched to where now when the witch sees the ghost, she freaks out, like any other mortal in this game. Where it really gets crazy is the second glitch. It’s still around BUT when I played villainous match (or whatever it was called), I treated it like the Vindictive Wife chapter. So I made Edgar married to the witch, then turned the witch ugly, had them on the boat where Edgar refused to kiss the witch, the witch turned him into a frog, isobel finds Edgar the frog, they kiss and Edgar turns back into a human… but then here’s where the glitch comes in, I then sent Edgar after the witch in the forest again, but the witch became a placeholder square, and turned Edgar back into a frog… no thoughts at all, but I think she kinda knew he kissed isobel because in the next panel I had, isobel got turned into a frog from an angry (but completely normal) witch! Honestly, pretty cool stuff. I like em. Gives some personality to the game really!

While I like the new stories, there are too many new bugs that don't go away even if you restart the app. It doesn't know where I click after some point in the game, making it hard to play. Not sure what update caused this, but it makes playing very hard.

I love the game but I believe there is a bug in the new update that doesn’t allow you to complete the haunted part of chapter 8 apparitions revenant but overall it’s a good game, but I hope whatever is going on with that gets fixed.

it's very good and challenging, but there's some bugs, like when someone takes the map from cove or smth he goes behind the seat, and the napkin under the table in hansel and Gretel only appears when someone eats on the diner. and the witch dissapears when she's thinking of ugly when she sees snowy as a frog in a kiss scene.

Possible bug?

Amazing love the the game but there is a possible bug in chapter apparitions on revenant instead of Lenora telling Isobel she loves Edgar causing Isobel to scare Edgar off the cliff, Lenora just gets scared and Isobel doesn't push Edgar off the cliff.because of this bug I can't get to the next page and can't play anymore of the game. Please fix this

I really love the game. I really did but on level eight there was a bug and it made me not be able to complete the full game because I had one less star. The app has not been working

The app has been overly zoomed in for the past 3 weeks. I tried everything recommended by the bot but it did not help. Then I contacted the support team, who just ignored me- did not even reply to my questions. I truly used to love this game but now i am unable to even open the settings or the chapter guide without turning through every chapter. Or even go back from a story to the chapter. It’s such an irritation.

Very fun but short, as well as one big problem

This game has been immensely enjoyable to play, however it is glitched so that I am unable to see the sides of the book, meaning I cannot go to the gallery to quickly select chapters, nor am I able to move quickly from story to story without going back to the selection screen.

Looking at the reviews it seems half say the game is fun & cozy while the other half says the game was all buggy & crashing a lot. I've seen others play this game, I will say I didn't even get to play the game because it said I needed a Netflix account to sign in with so I could play the game, which that was a big bummer.. It looked like a lovely and fun game, if only their was an option to use a different platform for an account other then Netflix, please make that a feature.

This game is quite fun, the game is too short, and it really doesn't have much to do after you beat it. It has a few missing sprites for scenarios (devil refused by the witch I believe). a good puzzle game for long car rides or something. Also I would imagine a "sandbox" mode would be nice, adding and deleting frames, all of the characters, scenarios, etc. available, although I would imagine it would take a while to make sprites for that. The phone optimization is bad, lagging bad to flip pages.

While a creative game, it just isn't clicking with me. I got this game through Netflix, uninstalled, then decided to give it another chance and reinstalled it. But it still isn't fun for me, so unless something happens to change my mind, I'll uninstall it again. Not that the game isn't good or creative. Like with most Netflix games, I just didn't experience the issues that others seem to have. It might be about the device, or maybe it's because I have a Netflix account that I'm logged into on my phone. Anyway, the game itself is really cute and entertaining. The real game comes with the achievements at the end; mostly they're pretty easy puzzles. My biggest complaint is that the game is really short. Edit: replaying this two years later because it was just that damn cute lol

Arabic language missing after latest update

Hello, After the latest update, the Arabic language has disappeared from the language settings in Storyteller. The game is now only available in English, and Arabic is no longer listed as an option. The update has a few sprites that are unaccounted for so they appear as purple/magenta squares. There's also a level that has more than one solution, but only one specific scenario counts (ghost wife causes Edgar to fall off a cliff by himself). I also thought it was more fun to try and figure out which level will give you a stamp rather than the game telling you which level, but maybe that wasn't a popular opinion

Good game, played like 99% completion but it is clearly not made to be played on a mobile phone. While its tricky enough to make you struggle with getting it within the 8 spaces, it overheats your phone, lags and crashes. Its on steam on laptop/PC and i think on other high running devices. If your willing to try sit through the lag its a fun hour i suppose. It would be worth just paying for the game on steam rather than a netflix account, if your only wanting to play this game.

Best game I have played in a while

The stories are so fun I was addicted to I finished it in 2 days, but I did skip some levels because they were way too hard, but that’s what makes it fun. Anyways, I love the game and you should buy it to.

This is a very fun puzzle game, maby the funnest one I have played on my phone. The game design is awsome and the difficulty is just right. However the game has so many bugs that I can not play it for more then five minutes before my phone bugs out and stops working. This game would be way better if the bugs could be fixed. I'll start with the negative: the app stopped working at some point(tried EVERYTHING), and that really sucked, because this game is INCREDIBLE! I started playing again after the new "Special Edition" update, and the problem was gone, probably fixed. This game is one of the best. Mobile games shouldn't be this good, but it is! STROBE WARNING

This is a lovely puzzle game that I have enjoyed playing before and after the update. However, while playing the Frankenstein chapter, there is a visual effect where the screen flashes white (as if the book is lit by lightning) and the book zooms out and then back in again. The frequency doesn’t seem to be that which would trigger an epileptic reaction, but it could still be triggering to other photosensitive people. There is not an in-app way to turn off or lessen this feature. I would still recommend the game, as the majority of the chapters have a refreshingly low amount of triggering visual effects, but am saddened to miss out on some levels due to the lack of accessibility in the settings.

Such a great game!

I feel in love with this game a long time ago before they added updates. I was bummed out when I originally completed it because I wanted more so it I was stoked when I found out more was added! I did however finish it rather quickly and now I’m back to being sad because it really is a lot of fun to play and though most were easy for me to figure out there were a few that were challenging and had me scratching my head trying to figure it out. I love the new animations and additional characters. I just hope they they continue to update and add more! It’s super addicting! if you love story telling and puzzles, this is such a great game to play! Please, please PLEASE, continue to add more!!

Unresponsiveness out of hand

Apple was working great in the beginning after this most recent update. The app completely started bugging out. My Apple Pencil no longer works with the app sometimes when I click on panels or characters, they are completely unresponsive or the responsiveness is the wrong panel or character. I am sometimes not able to flip to next pages to go back to use any of the buttons. This app has become completely unresponsive. I have tried deleting and reinstalling resetting my iPad. Nothing seems to work. Help

I’ve been playing this game for a while and now all of a sudden with the new updates the game no longer works how it used to. Needs something more

I love this game but right now when you finish, you are kind of just done. I think the game could benefit a lot from a new addition. For example a level builder could be added and you could try and do online levels/chapters from other people. Another idea it to just have a sandbox with every character in the game, every scene in the game, and a set amount panels that the player could reduce or increase. I have no complaints this game is very intuitive, funny, and thoughtful bu these are just my thought on making this game better than it already is.

The update

Glad they added more stories but I cannot stand the hints. Maybe I just haven’t delved enough into the game (only on chapter 3) as I started over but I love this game because it leaves you to figure everything out through context clues. I don’t need the little scribbles on the side telling me how things should end up or that this character is the murderer. It takes the fun out of it. If there was a way to turn it off or as you go along there are no more hints then I can edit this but not great so far. Update: I haven’t seen any other hints so far. I enjoy the new stories and characters. The whimsical graphic style fits perfectly with the game’s theme. This game is well worth your attention if you are into story building, puzzles or fantasy.
