More ads than play time
The game is fun. I understand ad support but when the add pop up every one to two minutes it becomes unplayable. Especially since most of the ads are lengthy, requiring me to engage in the ad and then fails to return me to the game. Very frustrating

No timer games
Too many adds between games. Tetris with timer is too tight/short. Sometimes to hard to visual see where a block will land and fairly easy to fat finger one line over too far.

Absolutely Unplayable - Horrific

Game is fine, ads popping up all the time is annoying, the level system is dumb and not being able to at least change themes anymore is very irritating. Why not just a continuous, reach a high score with NO ads during it base games and then levels after?

Nice but...
The reason I rated it 2 stars is because it is confusing, not what I expected, and more. Personally the game controls confuse me and it causes me to place a block in the wrong spot and it's very hard to control. In the preview slides it seemed like a fun, simple,and easy game but I felt barely any of those 3 things. When I read the other reviews before I got it,most of them said that they could play it all day or love this game, basically just something along those lines but I don't feel that way at all. Now that is just my opinion and you could feel completely different about it, but for me I didn't like the vibe I got from it. Also when you first download the gam it automatically puts you in this mode where it's levels which is is kind of annoying because then itgives a random goal and you have to go the the icon that says "marathon" to play the infinite version of tetris which is a little better than the levels. If you download it I would recommend playing the infinite version because it feels more like the classic. The last thing I have to say is over all I don't find it very fun, but to be fair I haven't had that much experience with tetris. Honestly I love this game, I play it before I sleep, or whenever I feel anxious. I love that you get prizes and harder levels. im on level 480! please don’t delete the levels. but the one thing to improve is the darn adds, they pop up after EVERY level! If the adds weren’t that bad, it would be a 5 star review.

Game play is fun but the app glitches often. When an ad plays, many times the close button doesn’t work and you have to shutdown the app losing any progress you have in a particular board. I realize free play comes with ads but playing ads that don’t work, makes people delete the game. It’s like getting a 30 minute infomercial in the middle of a movie.

I loved the game but the latest update makes you watch an ad after every level. You also have to watch an ad after claiming every bonus. I know the developers need to make money but being forced to watch this many ads ruins an otherwise great game.

App crashes a lot!
I have tried to reinstall and it still doesn’t work. I’ve been playing for years and can’t believe it is this buggy. I’d happily give it more stars if it wasn’t so buggy. Especially in low coverage areas.

Always loved the game!
Tetris brings back fond childhood memories. If only they can cut back on the adds.
This is a fine enough version of Tetris, but I don’t understand the coin aspect. After each level I get 5-10 coins and the bonus claims are just more coins. There’s even options to spend actual money for more coins. But that begs the question: What do I even do with the coins?? There’s no store. There’s no way to trade coins for ad-fee time. So what’s the point of having the coin mechanic at all?
On the topic: Why isn’t there a them store? In the App Store there’s screenshots of having different play-style themes, banners, and pfps. But none are actually present or available on the app.
It’s still Tetris at the end of the day. But if that’s all the app is built to be then why have all the extra fixings? Just really confusing to the app user, in my opinion.

Ad Subscription is Cancer (update)
I’d be happy to pay for the app, but a subscription service as the only option is ridiculous. This app would be 10x better as a one time purchase with the removal of the usual free-to-play mechanics.
Mobile is the perfect medium for Tetris but the lack of utilizing the franchise’s innovation over the years is rather depressing.
Why not include a Tetris 99 or some other multiplayer modes?
The unlimited mode should be the default with the other versions as an extension.
This could genuinely be one of the best apps on mobile, full stop. But the choice to settle for the bear minimum is holding it back.
Here’s my suggestions:
Add a one time paid version, either separate or a part of this app.
Add additional modes (you can port them if you have to).
Redesign the UI, it feels far too cheap for such a prestigious franchise.
Finally, bring back themes and theme music choices Or stop advertising it as a part of the app.
In summary as I said this has the potential to be one of the best apps on the IOS store, but it requires at least some effort first. Don’t settle for the bare minimum, Tetris is better than that and it deserves to be greater for its fan. The moment you stop trying is the moment people stop treating this franchise with disinterest.
Don’t neglect the mobile platform, it’s grown and you can make a true place for Tetris in it; not an app that feels like a knockoff.

Port Tetris Connect. Modern phones will do it justice.

Can’t believe that they were remove theme changing
If they have not remove theme, changing then I will have to not play this game that much cause I seen that theme in this game it gives the excitement of playing Tetris while with the themes to make it better instead they just they just remove it for no reason cause I asked Google for this and it did not help :(

Sad that the makers of Tetris feel that this is the best app version of their game. Ads get stuck the app has to be reloaded or they get into an App Store loop that’s hard to get back through. Put out a paid version that’s actually usable!
