The Quest

I'm kinda shocked by the quality of this considering it's a 20-year old game developed for PDAs. The Quest really puts a lot of mobile RPGs to shame. If you were ever a fan of Dungeon Master, Ultima Underworld, Wizardry, Eye of the Beholder and such then this is a no-brainer for $10. Strong sword & sorcery vibes for those who might want a palette cleanser from too much modern, kitchen sink high fantasy.

Nearly 2 years ($68) playing time and got it memorized how to be nearly invincible by level 25 but only 1% of all quests solved for 20 expansion packs. Ragnar's Revenge is recommended by me as no reviews for the latter, but a 15k enchanter there and 13000 enchantable items at only Level 25 rated. My goal to review all 20 expansions to help others since I learned the hard way as no detailed reviews for all 20.

Although I do miss the classic graphics from the iOS version, and the smaller footprint, this game is still by and far the best RPG experience in mobile games. So much to do, so much to try. If you're a fan of classic TES style games then you'll love this. Also there are numerous expansions to prolong the experience, and if you enable them in the main game you can freely travel between them at any time. Great game, and great developers. *** i wish a way to load up custom avatar pics...***

A perfect traditional European Fantasy game from an indie team based in Hungary. You pick from multiple classes but you aren't prevented from using other weapons, unless they are out of your weight class. -For example, you can choose Ranger but still use short swords and shields as a primary weapon and have the bow as a secondary. However you also get to pick your own skills during character creation, which is a nice touch. -Music has that great tavern feel that immerses you right in.

One of the best western rpgs from 2009 still with new dlc. Think elder scrolls daggerfall and awesome port. 3.99 on sale. From dead cells pixels to requiem at 120 fps this game runs great on android and holds up. Operandi? wizardry? Or labyrinth of refrain? This game is old school gritty. If you catch it on sale you hit the jackpot. No hand holding. The quest that never ends. If The elder scrolls oblivion and Skyrim and daggerfall are your thing with huge world this is worth it.

Could you please allow us to disable enabled expansions. It is actually very annoying. I found out that the Zarista Games Expansions are very bad and I do not want them installed in my device. I had to restart all over again

Horribly designed game. The enemies are so massively OP that even fighters get slaughtered the moment you leave town. Waste of money. Good thing I bought it on sale.

Great DOS like RPG of olden days. Base version to slow for me although perfectly balanced character development wise, but soon as I bought my first 3 buck expansion pack, I was on cloud 9 with crazy like quick advancement but quickly becoming too powerful of a character. Games only flaw is too powerful equipment too easy to come by with expansion packs.

Like 3000 hours now into it. I suggest progressing to Thor's Hammer, Fire & Ice, Mithril Horde 1&2 then Lukomyre 1-5 and Curse of Linmore in that order. However, if you know what you're doing, you can just jump straight from Mithril Horde 1 to Lukomyre 5 and then Curse of Linmore skipping all low level expansions altogether except you'll still need low level Thor's Hammer to cheat leveling up. I can play a level 13 character on Lukomyre 5 easily with Mithril Horde 1 which starts you at lvl13.

Hello, I'm a big fan of The Quest since I first played it on my iPhone 3g back in the day and I'm looking forward to play the sequel Redshift is working on. The thing is, a bit ago I bought the main game with a bunch of expansions and I haven't experienced any problem but now I wanted to play it on my tablet only to find out that the cloud save won't work, so I wanted to ask if there's a way to extract my local save and move it to a new device, thank you!

I was just thinking the other day 'man I wish I had a modern game that was like Dungeon Hack from back in the old days on DOS', and lo, I found this game. For anyone who's played Dungeon Hack, it's basically that mixed with Elder Scrolls Blades/Arena. Definitely seeing some ES1: Arena in its DNA, with a few ideas from Blades and probably Daggerfall. Solid game though

The game is great, and I really enjoy the vast world when counting in all the expansions. However, I really wish there were a way to keep all the expansions in a single app instead of having to install dozens of separate apps (of course after buying all of them).

These mobile controls are pretty bad. Its very easy to accidentally attack others. Trying to close menus will automatically use skills. It feels like this wanted to be a PC game with the way the controls work. it doesn't work well at all on a phone.

One of the best RPGs on mobile. It's a fully featured first person RPG with no ads, great depth, and lots to explore. It's the one game that pretty much has never been uninstalled from my device. The only slight issue i have is that the game does not support the screen size of the Samsung Ultra phones, so there's a lot of black space on the top and bottom. Having the game use all the screen space would be incredible. But that doesn't take away from how great the game is otherwise.

Doesn't work on lineageOS, Pixel 7. I cant even see it in the Play Store. Aurora store will download, but after opening the game, it redirects to the play store which says not compatible with device.

The buttons are in a really weird place and they are very small. There needs to be UI scaling option otherwise the game doesn't feel good to play just because of the poor controls
