Explore the outdoors and conquer virtual zones in this multiplayer game.
Turf is a real-world multiplayer location based game where movement, exploration and strategy meet. By visiting virtual zones placed across cities, towns and natural landscapes, you claim territory, score points and take part in a global game played entirely outdoors. You choose how you want to play. Some players compete intensely for top positions, while others explore at their own pace. Turf offers numerous leaderboards — local, regional, national and global — allowing every player to find their own level of challenge. The game is played in monthly rounds where the leaderboards reset, while your long-term progress, achievements and statistics remain. Whether you play alone or together with others, Turf encourages curiosity, consistency and time spent outside. Turf is completely ad-free, keeping the experience clean and focused. With Turf you can: • Explore the world through GPS-based gameplay • Discover new places and reasons to go outdoors • Stay active by walking, running or cycling • Compete on multiple leaderboards at different levels • Join an active community and meet new friends • Take part in events that bring players together in the real world Turf combines exercise, exploration and social interaction into a unique outdoor game enjoyed by players worldwide. Play competitively, socially or somewhere in between — the choice is yours.

Still Cant play in Puerto Rico! its been 5 months and nothing
- Lenier Roman · v2.2.22
was amazing until the local divisions were instated. I want random people so I can at least feel that I have a chance to advance. Just uninstalled the game after 5 very active years and 15 years in total.
- mattihp · v2.1.21
gets you out the house
- Wayne Lockyer
This game kept me and my husband going while he was dying. We turfed all over Europe til year ago. I've just downloaded it again as it's great to mark where youve been.
- Elsa Lewis · v2.1.47
There are barely any zones in Germany, even around the big cities
- Christian Leitner · v2.1.47
Great app, good fun
- Matt Brierley · v2.1.47
Extremely fun and community engaging
- Aaron Ray · v2.1.47
trying to get new turfs added in your area is impossible, so unless you travel around a lot, the game is pointless, literally.........
- Allan Bostock · v2.1.47
Great training aid. It just needs more british players. It isn't quite the same when you are the only player in your area.
- Micky Finn · v2.1.38
No local players in Aus
- Robert Dennys · v2.1.19
Has worked well for years but serious issues now with crashing and/or not opening and/or not connecting. Unsure if this is an app side issue or Samsung issue (S24 Ultra). All but unusable.
- Darren Martin · v2.1.21
The Turf app fully supports this compelling activity
- Julian Hall · v2.1.21
Super kul!
- Kristofer Brander · v2.1.20
Bra spel
- Jimmy “LoneDog” Forsberg · v2.1.19
It's great! Well supported if you have a problem
- Lisa Weatherill · v2.1.19
my favorite app👍💀🤨🫨🥲🐅🐈😬⚧️🫠🤮🤢🤕🤮
- Selma Flodin · v2.1.19
The only fault I have is that you can't switch off the GPS without completely shutting down the app
- Kathryn Neill · v2.1.19
Great concept to get the kids interested in being outdoors/map reading etc but the app is really fussy about accuracy of the GPS position (spent 30 minutes on a rugby pitch hoping the little man icon would catch up with my true position). Worse than that it seems to require mobile data to actually take a zone. Walked two miles but I couldn't 'take' the zone because mobile reception wasn't good enough. Frustrating! However it did get my son walking the two miles so worth a try.
- Mike Broom · v2.1.19
Pointless. Real life tapping game.
- Stoffe Gutebrand · v2.1.19
I really enjoy this app, where it is available. It is a shame that the suggestion system is broken. I have tried many times to add sites in my home town but nothing! This makes the competitive element unfair. I can only play when away from home.
- Gerry Ashton · v2.1.19
One of the best and funniest apps to use. Plus it keeps one in shape
- Jonathan Franck · v2.1.3
Great fun and is keeping me fit
- Peter Roddis · v2.1.19
Very fun app. I've discovered so many new running routes through using this.
- Josh Woodstock · v2.1.19
Patrol your local area to earn points
- Lindsey MacQueen · v2.1.19
- August Hjertstedt
The only real reason for me to have a smartphone. Still.
- Martin Ek · v2.1.15
This is such a superb app and game. If you are at risk of being an addict then this is such a wonderful way to placate your addiction issues, lol. The fitness element is good if you walk or cycle to the zones, my competitive issues, (second place is first of the losers) is satiated by taking other people's zones and Turf is such a good way to see a new town or city. If I am going to another place in the UK I suss out the zones on the route and then plan at least 1 or 2 days to go turfing.❤
- Alan Teather · v2.1.15
Wow some of the people who rated don't know anything. It's very few cheaters. Yes the zones resets ever month but not your level and points 🤣
- Spiderantula Valkite · v2.1.10
A good idea spoiled by obsessives spending 12 hrs a day at it every other day.. Ini my area there are too many zones too close together, every 1 minute by bicycle, also, meaningless zones in scabby housing estate cul de sacs strewn with dog mess and broken glass. It was useful s a way of getting one's exercise in but is ultimately pointless as it is scrubbed every month/30 days and start again. The map is handy tho and quick to load....oh and it's free
- Pete S · v2.1.10
As soon as you even try the “zone” is gone - no one else even in site. Worthless…don’t bother!
- Summit01$ · v2.1.6
Biking or walking to play is really fun. Great motivation for biking in winter especially. There could be more instruction in-game, but looking up the Turf wiki worked well enough to get me up to speed.
- Lauren Johnson · v2.1.10
King
- ville zhang · v2.1.10
Great fun exploring places
- KAY HAWKE · v2.1.10
Great fun game/sport for keeping active and exploring your local area, or wherever you happen to be. Addictive once you get into it. It must be said that the user interface is not overly intuitive, so its worth reading the FAQ, forums, and talking to other Turf players. There are some great tools for analysis or your turfing, or planning your turf sessions. However many of these are actually third party sites. Odd, yes, but ok considering Turf is available free (unless you opt to support).
- Martin Quirke · v2.1.10
The concept of the app is great if you've got the lifestyle for it and live in the right area. Some countries have nearly no coverage and within countries that do, sometimes there are entire states that have zones so far apart you are forced to drive.
- PJ Vis · v2.1.10
Playing Turf I found the app to be glitching frequently where by the map doesn't show or the zones don't show up, the GPS lags (possibly my phone?) or it shows simply a white screen. Quite frustrating when time is important during a game.
- Jayden Denning · v2.1.10
Great game. Encourages me to leave the house and explore places nearby. Love it!
- B3th L · v2.1.10
This app works quite well and that makes playing this fun game even better!
- Luke Van Santen · v2.1.10
Good fun, pushes you to want to go out more and get more zones. Community all seem great. Zones are added near you over time (for me it was about 2 weeks) plus you get to create your own each monthly game. I have had 4 added in 2 months.
- David Cross · v2.1.10
This game has great potential but lacking the very thing needed to play... the ZONES!!! You have to submit a zone and hope it gets approved in order to capture it. Can only submit 8 zones per round (month?). There are absolutely NO zones already in my area so I have to wait for any of the created/submitted zones to be approved for me to even participate in the game. This is the failure in this game. There should already be pre-mapped zones every fraction of a mile that you can capture to own. NOPE, this game is worthless for me to play unless zones are already available...
- RSpecTurbo · v2.1.6
Great for getting me out and about more.
- Neil Roddis · v2.1.10
Great game of discovery in your local or new areas. For all ages and fitness levels-bike, run or walk. Great fun and can be competitive or just a way of adding extra fun to your exercise/stroll. You will discover new places of interest-even in your home town! Great fun-Try it!
- Dr Keith Dawson · v2.1.10
Addicting game!
- Calum Taylor · v2.1.10
Lots of fun. What I love about this app over something like Strava is that you don't need to be an athlete to compete. Anybody can take a zone...even your Granny.
- Steven Johnston · v2.1.10
Concept is neat, and can be fun. But I quit some time ago as it has an extremely large amount of cheaters who sits at home emulating GPS positions.
- Mika Norén · v1.0.2
Bad
- Samuel · v2.1.8
Very good game but I want clans or something like that.
- Emil Sjudin · v2.1.8
Had to download this app for School :(
- Walking Moyai · v2.1.6
Pretty addicting and fun to play.
- A Google user · v2.1.6
i like to run around and capture points :)
- A Google user · v2.1.5
The reviews about it being specific to Norway weren't kidding. Literally every single person on the map when I opened the app is in Norway. Maybe if you were to make more locations other than in the biggest cities in the US and other countries, more people would play it. But for now, the closest "zone" to me is in St. Louis, MO. 2.5 hours south of me.
- A Google user · v2.1.2
live outside of Norway? then this game is not for you. 4+ hours to a checkpoint closest to me. add more checkpoints like in Norway, otherwise this is pointless.
- A Google user · v2.1.2
