AI
Iâm currently playing Tokyo Debunker, so when i downloaded this game i expected them to have a similar art style and story telling. But from what i saw, it kind of seems like a lot of AI was used and itâs throwing me off, because the company has a nice and unique art style and the way they tell the stories with a comic style. I also played a little of Evertale and the art is nice there too, so Iâm really confused about the AI usage. It probably wonât be changed anytime soon, but I deleted it, because it doesnât sit well in my consciousness to support this game, especially when they have other games where they donât use AI (at least from what I can tell). If you want to play something close to this game, Iâd recommend their other game Tokyo Debunker. The art style is unique in a good way as said before.

Insanely pay to win, not much of a game
The comic itself is cool and the story is good. But the game is pay to win and it's not really a game either. Very boring of a game with no actual decisions to make.

Meh
I came for the story, art and voice acting. And on those three points I was pleased, but waiting between episodes seems to have increased, first it was , wait a week, then a month, now I think itâs been a couple months since i played and it still only shows one new episode. The gameplay isnât good enough to keep coming back, Iâd rather just stop paying attention. The gacha, punishing. Really low drop rates and no real payoff for winning other than pretty characters. I want more story, the voice acting for something like this really sold it for me, the art is crisp and pretty, but none of that matters to me at this slow of a release schedule. Iâve lose my interest and probably will uninstall just to stop the annoying notifications.
Edit: apparently more episodes are out than I thought, but thatâs just poor design if while playing the game I couldnât even see those new episodes were even availableâŠ

i like the game one issue.
I downloaded the game the day it was released, but I find it somewhat peculiar that most of the female characters have some sort of beastly appearance. However, my main issue is with the main characterâs mother. I feel like she dresses more like a teenager than a mother and behaves like one as well. I particularly disliked the scene where she was sleeping on the couch with her shorts unbuttoned and her shirt slightly lifted. I understand that she lives in that house, but her son also lives there. âOh, heâs blind, itâs fine,â. No, itâs not even if he still were. As a mother I would think, she should want to dress more appropriately and cover herself around her son, regardless of whether he can see or not. And the card of her makes it no better. âFamily vacationâ? Iâm not saying she canât wear that, but I find it odd that we can even see her in this way, especially since the main character is her son. Like every other character around him is an adult, and he is still in high school, except for Yui, her brother, and one other guy, although Tomoya eventually dies later on. It doesnât make sense. It just bothers me because I canât understand why everyone is dressed in a way that shows at least something of their body. It only makes it worse because most of them literally know that he can see.
other than this I enjoy the game wish it was a bit less like this. I donât understand why weâre even dressed like this as this game is about monsters eating people.

The quality in the visualâs and audio is absolutely amazing. Not to mention the story line is like playing through an anime.
Insanely pay to win, not much to do, no real game, just wait for entire story to be out then get it and watch episodes.

Pros & Cons
I have been on the waiting list for this game because I love TokyoDebunker, their other game.
Pros: the color is gorgeous. The storytelling is strong. Gameplay is appropriately difficultânot frustratingly hard. The âtreasure cavesâ are fun and beautiful. (I love the rainbow ones.) Character design is high quality.
With one major concern
Cons: Put. Some clothes. On. Female. Characters. We live in a world thatâs more dangerous for women than ever. Making womenâs bodies commodities is feeding the âviolence and consumption is acceptable,â mindset. Women in the real world get hurt because of âminorâ things, like, âfan serviceâŠâ that doesnât serve US. (Cup size does not need to be âworld cupâ sized. There are ways to portray female characters as beautiful AND sexy⊠without that hyper-fixation & exaggeration.)
Also, and here âconâ seems to have a double meaning: Gems are given out in a roulette style system. You COULD get 1,000 gems for doing this task⊠but you got 10. Again.
Advertised SSR Characters are also unusually hard to acquire. If I save up diamonds, get 2 low level characters and 8 âmemoryâ cards, that feels random if it happens sometimes⊠it feels rigged when that happens MOST times. The roulette system hits players when it comes to âearningâ diamonds⊠and again when it comes to drawing characters. Itâs frustrating and disappointing.
TYDB has a way to earn diamonds at regular intervals. Itâs predictable. That system is much more fair. Also, the characters are dressed in ways that are interesting and creative, beautifully designed, but not exploitative. Itâs worth noting that the TYDB characters are all boys. (Apart from MC who is plain to a fault. She seems deliberately ignored in the costume department.)
If I could give half stars, I would. 3.5. I WANT to give this game a 4-5 star rating, but the cons are weighing down what would otherwise be a beautiful, jewel-toned, creative game⊠with the potential for master storytelling. Earn the .5 by presenting female characters as human beings with beauty and respect, and by un-rigging the diamond/card pulling process.
I know the genre normalizes hyper-se*ualized female bodies, but that doesnât make it right.
Be better.
As a story, everything else adds up.

Pulls are 200 gems per pull, rates are .75 for legendaries. The logarithm for the increases in currencies like exp items, cash, and hearts, are steeper than you can get f2p. No amount of time can adjust and there is no grind to make up for the missing currency, you can only keep up by spending and this game is EXPENSIVE in terms of iap

Potential 5 star
The story line is incredible and I love how itâs a story and a game, however, if you added a rebirth system to the characters and more side missions for utilizing them instead of just the one dungeon and pvp I think the gaming aspect of the game could become HUGE! The character design is so peak that if you took the time to make the actual gaming side good this would definitely be a 5 star review! After reading the latest updates to the story and upgrading the buildings theres basically no other reason to have the game other than reading the story. Canât wait to see these added to the game Iâve been reading the story since launch! Also if you need any voice actors Iâd be more than happy to applyđ

Great game butâŠ
So I want to love this game so much, but letâs be honest, thereâs some things that need to be fixed. First off, let me say that I do enjoy the story and the gameplay is simplistic and fun. It doesnât take all day to do dailyâs and thereâs daily events to do that keep it engaging from a simple standpoint, but is fine. Iâm also very understanding that the story takes time so I get why the release dates of the story are so spaced apart. Letâs get to the issues, the pull rates are absolutely terrible. You get 8-10 SSR memories before you get the actual card for the character you need which is extremely hard to save gems for or if you buy them, itâs basically a waste of money. The prices on the stuff you get just is not worth it from a consumer standpoint, unless you plan on spending thousands on this, then it is what it is. When you finish the town popularity ranking, it gives you a flat experience increase, which is okay, but would be so much better if there was a reset back to the beginning, but instead you get more experience, more resources, and complete the builds and max out the town faster would be a better and much more engaging system to keep us with more to do. Again, I want to absolutely love this game, but it really needs better pull rates, town popularity needs a reset system, and the packages for spending money need better items and rewards. Fix that and this game will be amazing and Iâd change my rating.

Game mechanics broken
Iâve been playing this game for close to 2 months now, and the Game mechanics need a lot of work. Your overall team power level means absolutely nothing in this game. You can have a power level over 2 million points stronger than the other player and still get the floor with your characters just because they dumped all their resources into one character. Likewise, the power levels donât correspond to the dungeon level. I have been stuck at the same dungeon level for a week now. My power level has increased by over 200k and I still canât move past it and the dungeon level is only a mere 79 when my leader level is 100. Also the mats you need to level up are extremely hard to obtain. Even with playing every day, and spending a little extra money, the leveling rewards are very minimal compared to other games of similar type.

The drop rate
Itâs a great concept. Having the combination of âGame&Mangaâ but the drop rate for a good character is garbage. We donât play to get the same low rank character every time. We play to draw the heavy hitters and this game only gives garbage draws.
Someone should fix that.

Fun story, pretty, predatory in game Gatcha
Beautiful character art, terrible duplicate compensation.
I spent real money on a limited banner, pulled duplicate SSRs, and found out the compensation is low-value currency that doesnât feel remotely equivalent to the rarity of the pull. A rare SSR hit should feel exciting. Here, it turns into âwait⊠thatâs it?â
This game may look premium, but the monetization design feels predatory. I canât recommend spending money here.

Great game, bad customer service
The game has been fun, though it does suck to wait a whole month for new episodes. I decided to make 2 purchases in the app this week for paid gems, but all of them disappeared without me using them. Hopefully I hear from their customer service the next couple of days, or safe to say this game is fraud. My advice, if you plan to play the game, do not make additional purchases. The manga is good. But everything else is not. The community is dead. If you want summons you better pay, if not you have to gather enough resources (1,980 diamonds) which are scarce. It may be listed as a free game, but it is not f2p friendly. The only thing I look forward to is the storytelling. Other than that, not worth playing. I should have downloaded a book. đ«

I wanted to get into it
First off I just wanna say that I've only completed some of the story before I dropped it and delete my account. I found this game because I'm active on Tokyo Debunker (companies sister game) and was curious to see a new title from the developers. Instantly I was disappointed the complete use of Ai. It's infuriating to say the least when I KNOW this company gets money from Tokyo Debunker, they can hire an animation team, and commission artists for the story art and cards. Ultimately the Ai in this game holds it back form being appealing at all, along with most of the core aspects of the gameplay are rince snd repeat from Tokyo Debunker. I also really wanted more from these characters design wise. They all feel boring and unoriginal. The story (from what I played) was ok, but it wasn't enough to keep me in. The prologue was ok but once again I find it hard to enjoy much since the art style just isn't my thing. It suck because I really wanted to like this game but it's ultimately just disappointing. I wish it didn't lack passion.
