Relatively simple Rock-Paper-Scissor-esque concept but well fleshed out. Good map design with lots of variation. Special commanders allow for extended strategic and tactical management as well as min-max optimization for each wave. Great atmosphere and I love the unit design.

wish there was a sandbox mode you would pick any commander you unlocked with full customisation and you can pick unlocked enemies to spawn from a certain direction with any number you would like. that would be a great update.

played all difficulty, but killing 1000 and 1500 viking achievements are bugged. I have tier 3 archers w 2000 kills that dont unlock the achievement

Great strategy games. I wish it was longer or they add more levels. I beat the game in a day but am still having fun using different types of weapon/skill combos to see what is the best. take pride in your swordsman and archers, they are your best men.

I think the premise of the game is pretty good, but the execution is lacking. The skill trees are pretty boring and I find the abilities often just don't even work. The ability can do ok sometimes but the volley of arrows has a tiny area of effect and it's really hard to time. The mine goes off before enemies even reach it. Then there is very little telegraphing of how strong the enemies are, and from one level to the next they suddenly get way stronger and your commanders have permadeath.

what a perfect little game. challenge and fun balanced in a great way while presented in a beautiful art style. the procedurally generated islands trigger something in my brain. I could stare at them for hours imagining the wider world which is implied. the only gripe i have is that there isnt more of it. this seems like such an obvious base for more expanded content, but I suspect this wont ever happen because the game is already a completed project. its perfect as it is.

Overall very good game but it does a terrible job at explaining you how it works. Considering that the game is pretty unforgiving it's quite infuriating having to learn the hard way certain mechanics. 🙄 Just make a decent tutorial already. 🤷‍♂️

I love how this game puts you to the test, where you can't just brute force a stage/island to win. Proper team comp, positioning, and timing is a must. You'll be forced to challenge islands especially some islands that are complex. And has simple mechanics to understand. But I found a glitch, when my archers attack the enemies, sometimes they miraculously disappear and spawn somewhere on the island. Suddenly I'm ambushed from behind. Please fix it. Overall, the Game is Challenging and Great. 👍

I would normally say this is 5 stars as I genuinely enjoy the game a lot, but in the last year or so I've been unable to play because of a bug. Every time an enemy is knocked out of a boat they teleport randomly, often landing on the island and ruining my strategy. This has persisted through two separate phones, and despite me resetting my game data from Google play. Despite this, I haven't found anybody else talking about this issue. If there's a solution I'd be happy to hear it.

played this game a lot so I think I can judge it fairly. Overall, a very entertaining, simple to understand premise that still allows for strategizing. One problem with this game is that it's a little buggy. Archers can shoot Vikings off the boat, and instead of dying in the water, they'll teleport on the island and mess up my defences. another problem would be variety in the game. adding a new defence, mode or enemy would be a breath of fresh air. 4/5

This is fun. My only complaint is I wish the font was a little bigger. All these games need to start adding a setting to make the font bigger it's not just you guys. 4 outta 5. Got it on play pass but it's easily worth the money on replay value alone.
