Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition

Playing on a suboptimal sized (6.7" instead of recommended 7"+) smartphone screen. Some slight issues with icon size, but on the whole, it is very playable. Played this, Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter Nights back in the day. So nostalgic!

I fixed the problem the game was crashing every time it tried to save, I had to create a folder in my downloads section which i named BGEE, then had to find the data folder option in the balders gate menu before starting a game, create the file path to my download folder BGEE which finally gave the game permissions, and now its running smooth. (android stylio 6)

Updated: 07/17/2026 - I've redownloaded it to check if the update has fixed the scaling issue for the touchscreen on the Samsung Fold and.... so far so good! Super excited to give it ago. 5 stars for now! I'll see how the play through goes. Unplayable on the Samsung Fold 7 Unfortunately the button mapping is off by an inch and you have to hit above the button your trying to hit. This pretty much makes it unplayable on the Fold 7. Bummer...

Had a great time on this one using both my tablet and phone. Touchscreen took a bit to get used to, compounded by the old school interface. Still, incredibly happy with my purchase. I have ever Beamdog game for Android and dont regret any of them.

love this game but recently it, BG2 and ID all crash at startup even after a clean install and downloading all updates. Planescape works fine. I'm on android 10 by the way..please fix!!

that data folder change is horrible. whenever you save the game. the image gallery app always pick up a bunch of portraits and mess up all my galleries. and you have to set a data folder. it not like you are given the option not to set it. by default it goes to Documents folder. deleted and refunded the app due to the portrait images issue.

controls on phone are dreadful, couldn't even make it past the tutorial. they should highlight what they want you to click in the tutorial, they wanted me to disarm a trap but the button didnt highlight anything then I get dialog that says what are you doing, disarm the trap but theres nothing there

Amazing game, but it bothers me that it doesn't have achievements . I play this a lot because it has a lot of classes and outcomes . Maybe add the achievements from the Steam version? it would.make the game feel complete, for me. thanks

I didn't make it through the tutorial. The characters are hard to see on a tablet. If I put the tablet down, the tutorial terminated and I lost my character and I had to start over. This game is not what I am looking for.

it's hard to play, when playing I need to press the same button multiple times for it to work sometimes. also, during gameplay, the button in the top left of the screen is almost entirely cut off outside the screen, and the button on the bottom right is partially cut off

they butchered my boy... I'm playing on the fold z5 and the screen reads buttons way above where they are actually, you cant add your own portraits or even transfer save to or from PC. assuming it's an issue with SOD and BG2 as well. edit: apparently you can get the screen to respond to the correct pixels if you split screen the game with something else. I still cant move saves between phones or to a laptop/pc though.

Unplayable- cannot click buttons where you need to click to hit buttons is way off from where they are displayed so its impossible to play. I guess its due to scaling to modern screen formats.

This game has poor optimization on Z fold 7. The screen presses and cursor does not align. Whenever a button is hit it does not register, unless mashed several hundred times. If it does decide to work. I can't even properly play the game to see what it does because I can't even perform the first action after creating my character in the clunky character creation screen. P.S. If you have a fold 7 skip over this game. Unless you like playing a game in folded mode which barely works half the time.

3 so far.. because the tutorial is ridiculous.. are we supposed to just know what the buttons are? the spells have no identifying info... it's a big guessing game... I was looking forward to this game but already starting to regret this purchase

Worked great on my old Samsung A52, but does not work on my Samsung A56 Android 15 as others have noted. just coloured lines and boxes and totally unplayable. keeping it installed to wait for an update that fixes this then it will be five stars. Update: Since my review the game has been updated and now works perfectly. I love this game and these devs!

the game ports well over to android. my one huge complaint is that it seems impossible to pick up items found while journeying. at least on a standard phone sized screen. might be better on a tablet

its fine, best with a keyboard, works fine on a phone but not good with bad eyes on the small screen. tablet performance is good too. using a mouse is not so good, best with stylus. it works offline, just load it once.
