BrownDust2 - Full Burst RPG

Sound just stops working after some time. Only sound that works is the "Brown Dust 2!" sound byte when you enter the game; everything else is just muted. Only way I've managed to fix it if by reinstalling the whole game, which is incredibly inconvenient to have to do every time the sound stops working, which is every few days.

Devs are unashamedly using generative AI in promotional materials and for in-game assets. If I'm paying for these character's costumes, I at least expect them to be drawn by a human! Until devs change stance on generative AI this review will be 1-star and they won't see a single penny from me.

Truly amazing, another gacha friendly game existed. this is not just about power but it's all about brainstorming on how to defeat the powerful bosses. aside from that, the stories are so rich and more more interesting stuff like exploration, building an small apartment-like style, easy to grind, some of the fews like fan-services. update: come on devs, game's getting laggy, we need faster and lighter game. my phone is capping to its peak just to function, processor is heating real bad.

This was once a 4.7 star game... the game had decent story, challenging gameplay, generous offers for players, and it had the dev willing to cater to a very specific audience. Anniversary 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and even 2.0 were a good time. Everyone had fun... I don't know who made the call to change the direction of the game for more mainstream approach, but it is a wrong call. Devs made a commitment, broke it, promised to follow through to rebuild trust after backlash, and decided to broke that too

Devs now unapologetically use generative AI for art assets and claim that its just a minor part of the process. If its so minor then clearly you should have no problems dropping it from the process entirely if it is negatively impacting quality to the point where you had to defend it.

They're now precensoring content and betraying the audience that saved the game. Update: they're now also blatantly including the most broken and low quality AI art possible. The new character Aquila's skill cutscene looks like a power point presentation with just a couple of poorly animated frames (likely AI). There's also a story art piece that looks like her neck is broken and the story PV was also AI slop.

i have been playing since just before the very first Mushoku Tensei collab. The game was fun. The story was compelling. The characters and relationships were great. and they toed a line with fan service, while never letting it leak into the main storyline. They have since desecrated every single one of these aspects - the most egregious of these being the "Master" a sociopathic cheating sleazeball who changes his personality to whatever gets into a woman's pants. Such a shame.

Game is mid, any form of originality story wise got thrown in the trash going for a badly executed self insert story, that drops you in the midst of everything (it's like if somebody made you start a book from the middle and onward) trying to appeal with lewd characters which (due to regulations) they can't even crank it up (they're censoring). Honestly? Mediocre at least before the self insert it was kind of original...but alas...if you want to play lewd there are better option out there.

Brown Dust 2 is a tumultuous roller coaster of a game. Gameplay is enjoyable but player strength is time gated meaning that players cannot ever catch up to others who have played for an extended period of time. Content is now EXTREMELY restricted by censorship: going forward with their censorship, we will not see schoolgirl skins or any sexually suggestive or implied content period. No more implied sexual acts, camel toe representations, and so on. Brown Dust 2 has abandoned their core identity.
