Addictive. p2w or p4f. either way you can enjoy it. only downside for p4f is that once you get big enough you'll be competing against more and more p2w whales. FWIW, there is no "paywall" when you hit a certain level. If you don't want to pay $$ then you can pay in time. Progress is very slow in the beginning. But patience and daily upkeep is key. Been playing since near the beginning and very rarely spend $$ on myself.

Dropping my original rating to one star. The game developers recently made a mistake specifying a specific hero (overpowered one) for hero draw, but the hero received was different. Many people spent real money to obtain this specific hero and stay competitive, myself included. I entered an in-game support ticket but no response from company. I found a developer reply on a discord forum to another player though... they were not doing anything to correct the issue for this person.

Simplify Menus Please

So far I’m impressed by the lore and the immersiveness. The gameplay has exciting special effects and I like the banter. It has all my favorite fantasy elements, including good music. Review Add-on: beautful game with great graphics. There are lots of buttons and menus so it’s kind of hard to navigate. Also I wish you could turn off the voices separately from the sound effects.

When I do 8 summons about, roughly, 2,000 gem summons and I don't get the main character of said summon, not going to lie, I'm extremely annoyed. In all reality, you have to pay to get far in this game, or grind like no tomorrow. Even if you grind you'll never be able to get as far like the people who pay with money. Need to spend thousands just to stay in the game!

I’ve been playing for years, and the top players spend literally thousands on this game. If you don’t spend you can’t win nor enjoy the game. It’s a very competitive and stressful game. It’s constantly being updated and the app has way too many glitches and bugs. Customer service is non existent. They give you the run around and never solve anything. Graphics are amazing. Honestly it’s a game for people who have money to waste and make the developers filthy rich. You would think the players were actually winning something for the amount of money and time they invest in the game. There is plenty of cheating, which they try to control. It also festers so much hatred between players. It seemed fun in the beginning, it’s just not anymore. The ratings are not accurate! They not accurately factoring in all the negative reviews! It’s also true, if you don’t spend money, they somehow shadow ban your account functions in the game cease to work!

Lost all my assets

I deleted the game to try to refresh it because it had a bug in it now all my assets is gone. Yes, I was linked to Facebook. Everything is gone. If you delete this game, you will lose everything. And yes, it is very true. If you don’t spend any money, they will shadow ban you. They won’t let you get any New teammates. They won’t let you add any more friends and like I said, I deleted the game and they took all my assets because I wasn’t spending a lot of money with them. Customer service is very poor and hard to understand so if you got a problem, you will lose all your assets if you hit the wrong button and there’s no one there to help you.

When you start, the game automatically assigns you to a region/server. Make sure you change to whatever server your friends are on BEFORE you start playing or purchase anything. Otherwise you will lose all items and progress. Opening a ticket for support will just get ignored.

I've been playing this game for well over a year, I've put money into it here and there, but unless you are willing to pay hundreds of dollars a month, you will be beaten by other players who are willing to spend. Not very fair matching of power levels or skill and technique. There are people on here who have been playing a lot less time but put in ridiculous amounts of money and are well for Advanced. Daily player here, do all the daily tasks and earn as much as I can without having to pay too much money, leaves you in the dark and well behind the others. It's a great game as long as you're willing to pay quite a bit

It’s fun but…

I’ve been playing this for about 3yrs now, as a F2P (I’ve spent $0). The game keeps me entertained and I enjoy my alliance. Just wish it wasn’t so whale happy. You don’t get rewarded for being loyal. You have to pay for your reward. Support is also weak. I’ve lost some in-game resources to glitches and have never received any feedback. I’ve messaged support several times for other bugs or glitches and have never heard from anyone. Kind of disappointing for a developer who tries to make it sound like they listen to their users.

I have loved RPG games for decades (not going to tell you how old I am😂) This game is so much fun, is not frustrating, does not try to make you empty your wallet. The heroes are awesome and you can choose whoever is in your party. You can increase their power without too much trouble, and they often give you free summonses. Kudos to the developers who seem to have respect for the players. Good for you!

I played this game from May 2022 to October 2024. They deleted my account today for “cheating” apparently. That crushed me. I’m autistic and this was my favorite game; my favorite way to relax after a hard day. I spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars on it and played it constantly. I can’t believe it. Developers ruined this game

I used to be obsessed with this game. It was the most fun F2P game I had ever played. But the developers ruined it when they introduced heroes that basically make you kill yourself. It’s nearly impossible to beat the teams with the multitudes of heroes with this “reflect” damage ability and they pretty much only release them to P2P players… so it’s just not fun anymore. So sad, I really loved this game.

The game is good. It does a poor job of explaining how to level up heroes beyond their supposed max levels. Like what is ascension. Don’t have to spent a lot of money and you can get free items for watching ads. However I’ve lost many items that I purchased in the game using my tokens and they never seem to appear or after a period disappears. I’ve also reached out to support about a purchase issue and no one ever got back to me. Since then so never spend money and would recommend the same.

Leveling past L180 is not fun

I liked this game a bit until my heroes hit level 180. Even though I expected more grinding to level up past 180, I didn’t expect it to be almost impossible without it being a cash grab in the store for level 6 chests. I found this disappointing and now the game is just monotonous.

A P2W Player’s Dream

I’ve played this game daily and found that the secret to be successful is simple - spend lots of cash! This way I collect all of the five-star heroes and quickly advance them to high levels. Whaaaat? You mean you don’t wish to spend much money playing Antia? Well, good luck,then! The five-star heroes are very difficult draws, on an F2P basis perhaps one-per-month. And the common two and three-star heroes just can’t perform against their premium counterparts. And once you finally receive a mythic-hero you want to quickly level it, right? Well, that’s easy as well, just be sure to purchase lots of extra energy. Because you see, well, otherwise you are limited in the number of battles you can perform. Limited grinding = limited advancement. So no, I am not a fan of this game. I played it daily for six months waiting to advance enough for it to become enjoyable. I never got there; I’ve since deleted it. For a fun Match-3 battle game that can be played with limited or no cash purchases, I recommend Gems of War.

Great game

I’m a little late to the party but I’m enjoying this Match 3 RPG. Coming from E&P I can honestly say this game is doing it right. Rewards are nice, and unlike E&P you can progress without feel like its P2W. I don’t mind supporting a good game but if you can’t afford too, this game is totally playable without spending a dime. There is plenty of things to do and unique heroes to collect to create good synergy teams. Graphics and animation style are also top notch. I rarely play any game with sound but it seems like the developers didn’t skimp there either.

Hello dear reader, Like yourself, I have spent hours surfing through games and looking at reviews, hoping to find a halfway decent mobile game. About 1.5yr ago I thought I had found one with CoA, I knew it was a p2w, but it seemed like it was playable without $$$. At first it was, but after changing developers to Funplus (what a joke) it rapidly became pay to play. Over the past year each update has just been new cash grab systems, new overpowered heroes every 2 weeks, and the player base is ignored. New content is promised, but has not happened in months or really in the last year. Bugs are rampant, and any ticket to support is ignored with a dismissive “the problem is on your end” message. 5 star heroes are a requirement to play competitively, and each one will cost you an average of $170 US. But to get a specific hero, from the banner, you will often spend upwards of $250 because you are not guaranteed that hero. Then you must get 5 copies to fully “awaken” it, which is also a must for top game play. So often you will spend $1000+ just to get full access to the hero’s abilities. Then you need to talent the hero, a process that will likely cost you another $500 to do it fully. So for top whales, you are spending $1500+ per 2 weeks just for the new hero, not to mention weapons, events, and other things. For players who want to be competitive but not full whale, you will still need to spend around $300 a week, or $700 every 2 weeks, and you definitely wont compete with the big boys. If you are familiar with or even enjoy pay to win or pay to play games, this should give you a rough idea if this is worth it to you, but for 99% of people i would strongly advise not playing games that require you to pay. I have regretted almost every dollar I spent, and I spent more than a few. We all know these companies use wildly predatory tactics to make you spend more than you want to. The community at the top is solid, I have had the privilege of playing with and against some of the nicest and smartest people in the world. But we are all victims of this awful company and their once fun, now terrible game. The moderators have mostly quit discord, the top players have mostly quit the game, new players are not sent to old worlds, and newer worlds cannot face old worlds in the wars. So we face the same alliances over and over, and every week more people quit the game, so there are fewer familiar faces at the table. I have joined new worlds to see what they are doing, and the cash grab is even worse, the events are the same but worse. This is a shell of the game it was a year ago, and I cannot imagine it will continue much longer. A lot of top players who have not quit are waiting for a new alliance mode that was promised months ago and still sits in “coming soon” mode. But many are tired of waiting and have walked away. I have only continued playing because of the great people who I am privileged to fight with, and because we put so much time and energy into getting to where we are. For you my friend, I would strongly advise you to just set your money on fire, instead of downloading this dumpster fire of a game. Synergy Leader, -Sev

Don’t waste your time or money

This game is very beautiful and fun at low levels, but as you progress it becomes oppressive. To get the resources you need to keep playing at a high level you have to dish out A LOT of money. There are also game mechanics that are completely broken. And whales that spend $1,000s of dollars are allowed to just crush everyone else to get the best rewards so you can’t ever really progress. This game has so much potential but the first priority of the devs is to squeeze money out of its player base, not to make a really enjoyable game experience. Side note: I read a bunch of those 5 star reviews. Pretty sure those are not real people as they all read like an advertisement and not words real people use. Don’t believe me? Check out the game’s discord. There is almost no positive community feedback and the devs don’t respond to any feedback.

Ok gameplay and graphics, very typical match 3 game with heroes that you level up. Horrible developer though. Constant bugs and sneaky updates that take things away and replace them with stuff you have to pay for. Extremely unfriendly for Free 2 Play players. This game is designed to make you spend… period… it is 1000% Pay 2 Win! Horrible odds on getting things you want even when you do spend. There is also ZERO game balance. Every new hero/feature that comes out is ridiculously overpowered and makes all old heroes and content obsolete. So if you aren’t spending to have the latest and greatest heroes/content… be prepared to lose… a lot. Developers have no clue how to design a game properly and maintain it with balanced updates. They don’t listen to the community either regarding badly needed core game updates and quality of life improvements. They care about getting your money, nothing else! Don’t even bother trying to contact support for anything. It’s non-existent. Overall, best to simply avoid this game. If you start playing, I guarantee you will end up regretting it in the long run.

The game should be called Call of Bugs. Although the game has great graphics and a fun mechanic, it literally has bugs every time they release an update. Every single time. If you don’t mind bugs disrupting your ability to play regularly then it’s a great game, but if you get annoyed by stupid errors that make you wait, find a different game. The graphics are great, though there seems to be an increasing number of sexualized female characters that do not have an appearance that matches their story. The game itself is very fun and addictive, pay walls will make free to play players get frustrated after they start getting good 4 star heroes. I spent tens of thousands of dollars on this game, and you know what? I wish I’d never downloaded it. I say all of this as a recovered addict (or “whale”). The game is fun to play, and it’s addicting. But heed this warning… Their “random” pulls (heroes, weapons, other items) are not random. I played this game for a long time and came to see a pattern. Their “random” chances are brilliantly designed to only give you what you want RARELY AND TOWARD THE END OF THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF DRAWS TO GET WHAT YOU WANT. Therefore, in order to be a top player, you have to spend A LOT. On top of that, the community has become really toxic. I would never allow a young person/child to try this game. It could easily end up costing an unaware parent tens of thousands of dollars. If you’re rich and want to willfully burn your cash over a flaming pit of nothing, then go for it. Everyone else; avoid this at all costs.

Gatcha Wallet

I have been playing for a year and lead one of them to 10 alliances in this game. This is a much more blatant cadh-grab than most of the games in the business model. You get the most anemic trickle of progression for free, but if you want to compete at all, you are forced to spend, and spend HUGE. Players are dropping thousands every two weeks for new overpowered heroes that are only available for a limited time and then disappear for months until the developers decide to make them available for a short amount of time again. Oh and of course the drop rates are rigged, forcing you to wade through hundreds and hundreds of dollars to get the hero, let alone their subsequent 5 awakenings. If you have $100,000 off completely disposable income, you will be ready to compete here. If you want to test your skill without spending anything, dismiss the PvP portion of this game completely. At that point, you are left with the campaign, which will take you longer to complete than this game has left before it is pulled by the developers so that they can focus on more profitable ventures. Any and all feedback from the community is completely ignored by the development team, who respond by releasing more options for spending money through buggy updates. Players are quitting more than joining as of the date of this review. Do yourself a favor and stay away!

However, it has too many drawbacks. 1) low 5 star drop rate &unbalance: good heroes are too hard to get & big difference between OP heroes and normal heroes. 2)P2W: you easily get stuck on chapter, on hero ascension as well. hard to progress besides spend real money. 3) time-consuming: can’t skip battles and auto is not ideal for challenging dungeons. 4)trash rewards: all the free rewards are TRASH, takes a while to complete daily tasks but final rewards are so useless because everything in the market (shop) are so costly to exchange. I spent a few hundred bucks in the first 3 or 4 days then I stopped, I’m just logging in for 30 mins everyday to clear some quests but the rewards are very demotivated. Nothing to do when you are stuck. Sometimes, I even wonder why’d I waste that 30mins in my life lol. In sum, don’t recommend to download this game. Don’t waste your time

Fix your ads

I get why apps need ads but you need to fix some of them. Some ads says “rewards granted” but when you hit the “x” button, it then says “viewing time too short”. And it forces you to watch another video to get that reward even though it specifically said “rewards granted”
