This update brings several improvements to make the experience more stable and reliable: Gold Card: Fixed an issue where the underworld view was not saved correctly when using the Gold Card. Tap areas: We've reworked touch and click targets throughout the app. Elements now respond more accurately to input — safe areas are correctly recalculated after tapping. Tutor: Fixed an issue with the tutor's start and end points, so the guided introduction now runs smoothly from beginning to end. New visuals: Updated artwork and images have been integrated. We've also made additional stability improvements under the hood.

- Luke Blackburn · v1.7.1
functional but loses the charm of the OG board game
- Inner Demon Pat · v1.7.1
I PAID for this game and you are showing me ads? Unbelievable. EDIT February 2026. App has become nearly unplayable. Freezes, fails to register taps, can't clear selection, etc. What did you guys break?
- Martin Rose · v1.7.1
there's an offset between where I tap and where a square is selected very annoying and makes the game basically unplayable
- Alexander · v1.7.1
Last week or so have been having lots of issues with game freezing, or severely lagging. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no help.
- Ellie Chapman · v1.7.1
Needs multiplayer. The board game is 1-100 players but online app is solo! It would be much better if devs created multiplayer or way to invite friends to game, especially for a paid game. Also you need to buy extra expansions to play the weekly challenge. BS for such a good board game. Would give 0 stars if I could.
- Basir Ahad · v1.9.4
Touch controls are off center in-game making it impossible to place tiles properly.
- William Lee · v1.7.1
I thoroughly enjoy this board game, however as a paid app it lacks QOL and has a notable bug. 1. After score is calculated at the end of a season, the game often freezes. I have attempted multiple fixes: quit/reload, cache clears, reinstalls. The problem returns. 2. Allow Ambush cards to be turned off completely. 3. Allow the cards of the deck to be viewed in a gallery. As a newer player, and not owning the original game (I own Heroes), this would help! Bug fix = +1* QOL = +1*
- Michael · v1.7.1
Great for solo, just like the physical game, the game is fun and fast, I much prefer the app to the physical game. Not sure if its still being supported or not, but I wish I could take screenshots, revisit the scorecard of previous games, and participate on the BGG challenges, so the ability to choose the specific cards used.
- Wes Reis · v1.7.1
I love this game, but it sometimes freeze after do screen capture
- Ball Beboy · v1.9.0
vcasih se zgodi, da zamrzne in ne dela vec vnos polj. drugace je pa odlicna igra. hitra
- Petra Vovk (crnikavbojc) · v1.7.1
Scoring system seems off (subtracts dozens of points at the very end for each round and doesn't explain why. Last game I had a score of 63 after 4 rounds, but the final score sheet put me at -30), otherwise a well done and interesting game.
- Kit · v1.7.1
To me this is just a lazy app. Not finely polished; both the app and ads stretch and don't fit responsively to the mobile screen; no music except sound effect; menu and the whole experience feels low budget and half baked. Customer service isn't responsive. Once you buy you lose your money. Utterly Disappointed!
- Sagun Pandey · v1.7.1
Why do I gain a coin when I draw over ruins? I don't think this rule exists in the original rulebook?
- Koray Tugay · v1.7.1
I dont get it
- Patrick Monahan
No multiplayer mode, weekly challenges are won by algorithms, and the app randomly switches from English to German, among other bugs. Makes me hate Cartographers
- Paul Neubert · v1.9.0
I bought the boardgame, which I played once. I bought the app since I had a bunch of points. In one week, I've played it 75 times! It's addictive, for sure.
- Jim Carvin · v1.7.1
Love the game, but since purchasing the expansion it started freezing at the end of the third round before destroying an empty space by the troll. Hope it works itself out or a patch arrives. I'm using a galaxy s24fe.
- Alan Dilts · v1.7.1
I wish that I bought the tabletop game instead^_^
- Barth van der Veer
I'm a huge fan of Cartographers but this implementation is so buggy as to be unplayable. Button presses are simply not recorded, or only a portion of a button is pressable. This is all the worse because this is the only digital implementation of the game I've seen where placing a land requires pressing each square separately.
- Meir Deutsch
good solid implementation of the game. wish it had a few minor details like being able to speed up animations and place enemies
- Flibbs Family
Bought this to play with my partner, but the multiplayer is weekly leaderboard only. Accidentally added a dumb name, there is no rename option. Does not save my scores, or let me look at previous game maps to even compare scores with my partner. Various graphical issues that make things hard to read. Needs some polish and local multiplayer
- Tom Marra · v1.7.1
I love playing my hard copy of Cartographers and was hoping to be able to play it on my phone with my husband when he's away. From what I have tried, the app only allows you to play alone and not with anyone. The app also includes new score cards that aren't in the base game, which is cool but annoying you can't set it to the base game only when selecting the first play option. So whilst it adds a little, having the freedom to change the settings and making it basic would be appreciated.
- Rhiannon Abernethy · v1.7.1
Love this game! Super fun and plays faster than the board game version given app nature.
- Matt B · v1.7.1
I purchased this game to play with my friends locally, to help us with the drawing. And after we purchased the game found out that it does not offer multiplayer. I'm terribly disappointed. Can that fuction please be imlemented? All in all the app would be amazing if it had the MP function.
- Zsuzsanna Petrovics · v1.7.1
The ad for Flrogstlrop (or whatever it's called) freezes the app. Close button doesn't work. You just have to kill the app.
- Steven Hultgren · v1.5.2
Game play is great. But what is the point if the app won't track games played and scores and such. I played 4 games and it says I played zero. It's not logging any achievements. I payed money for this app and it doesn't work fully.
- Valerie Kelsey · v1.5.2
There's a problem with this game on my Android Galaxy where the graphics on the bottom of the screen are covered by my lower menu bar. There are no options adjust the size of the screen, or to put my lower menu bar in hidden mode, like most apps allow for.
- Scott Glasgow · v1.5.2
Good app. I don't like the reputation you lose at the end. You lose about 80 reputation stars at the end of each game because of the reputation of the scoring cards. This means you lose most of your score. Also it would be nice to have an option to use expansions I have bought the physical copy of in the app without paying again.
- Frances Ayres · v1.6.0
Good game clunky app
- Michael Thayer · v1.5.2
It's definitely cartographers but could be a lot better. Really wanted this game to be able to play with my family or at least have a private leaderboard for my friends and family. Also the scoring is infuriating. I just played a 128 pt game that was reduced to 47 because of a seemingly random judge.
- Miranda Emerson · v1.5.2
Good game
- EvilROo ThePure · v1.5.2
Nice, could use some tweaks. The overall scoring/ranking system seems to be messed up - scores aren't accurate (unless there is some other ranking system used, which is unclear) and dates and times of games played seems to be based off a single international date/time and not local to the phone. Not a huge deal, but confusing when it says I played games tomorrow.
- Jennifer Senn · v1.5.2
Phenomenal adaptation of one of my favorite games. Spot on. I love playing this game on paper, solo or with the family. Now when I travel, I can keep my brain occupied and still have fun. Perfect adaptation. Simply stupendous!
- Ian Muehlenhaus · v1.5.2
very fun. true to the tabletop but you can play much fatser on the app. sometimes the game bugs out and will not give the full shape but gives you a one square wild.
- Brent Donlan · v1.5.2
Buggy to the point i can't even install it anymore. To reply on a lie that dev replied for this review: it's a samsung phone with latest updates to android 13. Don't blame your failures on my phone.
- Михаил Кыштымов · v1.3.6
I just started playing this game, never on the board version. It's been a lot of fun, even more so that I'm starting to understand it more. Smooth graphics & interface. You can easily play a full game in a couple of minutes, so it's perfect for gaming on the go. I highly recommend it.
- W Sharpnack · v1.6.0
Slick and smooth interface - a great adaptation of an awesome, fun board game.
- Jess Carrier · v1.5.2
Obsessed with this game! As an app and as the original game and expansion maps, it's just a really easy game to understand and play but creates a constant challenge depending on which position the score cards are in and what you end up turning over. And because it saves when you come out of the map, I can see to the kid, the pets or get back to work and then complete it later. Wish you could get the other maps on the app, I'd happily buy those expansions too ;D
- LegenJezzie · v1.5.2
Was fun, but now runs super slow, even with animation speed on fast. No longer playable, which makes me mad since I paid for the app and the expansion. :(
- Jessica Stevens · v1.5.2
The UI is cut on the lower edge on my Pixel 6 pro.
- Renato Laus · v1.5.2
Every game the situation comes up where I can draw the shape but the game forces a single square on me as if there's no place to put the card's shape. Also, I've completed some of the badges several times but they stay gray. I'm bummed because I paid for expansion as well. Sucks. Love the box version.
- WE · v1.5.2
Not saving scores or adding to leaderboard
- Jon Toledo · v1.5.2
Fun game, but it's better in real life, and I wish there was multiplayer.
- Micah Robison · v1.5.2
Unfortunately pretty buggy. My previously played games don't ever end up in the highscore area. Clicking on the scoring cards to check their descriptions sometimes ends with the description freezing on my screen and not leaving, making it so I'm unable to click anywhere else or place tiles and I have to close out of the app and start the game over. That said, it is still fun to play just for the sake of playing, but I do wish there was a pass and play version.
- Claire Richter (ClaireRae) · v1.5.2
Awesome game and really makes you think and strategize.
- Danny __
It's really enjoyable when bored or trying to take a quick break. I'd probably give it 5, but there's an issue where if you tap the objectives during scoring, the points won't be added to your score. Correct that, and I'd give this a 5/5.
- Sean · v1.5.2
The app is a solid translation of the original, and I really only have one issue. Why am I getting ads that I can't close (forced to restart the app) for the developers other games. Is this a premium game or not?
- Stephen Scott · v1.5.2
The app looks a bit like an old game you had to play in a web browser, but it works. A fun board game you can play by yourself.
- Julian Geiler · v1.5.2
It is a fun game. It doesn't keep stats for the games played, unless it's the weekly game. I mostly play the random game, and it does nothing for stats.
- Todd Christopherson · v1.5.2
