I love this crossword puzzle but hate the constant promotions of other games! It is constant and ruins the game totally. The actual game is 5 star but the promotion and interruptions remind me why I deleted it in the first place.

Ads have ruined the game for me

It’s not enough to wait for 30 seconds of graphics just to load the game, then the ad before you can play pops up. I can even handle that. But now, there is a 10 second black screen before the ad starts. And the ads are longer it seems to me. I played solidly every day for a couple years but this is no longer one of the best puzzle games, now it’s just a money grab. A shame to say goodbye.

I absolutely love this game. 1512 days straight and counting. Ads aren't a problem for me.....options to stop them available. I'm a huge crossword fan and find CodyCross fun and full of great clues and knowledge. Kudos to the clue setters. CodyCross is the only crossword game I play. Plus the new changes are excellent in my view. Loving the new library and CodyCross' dances etc in opening page. Highly recommended

Don't get this app. Dangerous ad popus and seems the app isn't safe. Developer has no control over ads and it's not worth risking your phone being compromised. it's a shame as it's a great app until these ads started happening

I downloaded this after completing a playable ad and I'm glad I did. I believe the game caters to your skill level and while some clues are simple, I've myself stuck on some but only for a minute or so. If I'm still stuck I use one of the hints, which so far, are free, and you get more every day. You do have to watch an ad after you complete a set, but you can skip it after 5 - 10 seconds, not a minute for something you might not download. I hope I continue to enjoy it in the next few days.

Too Many Ads

I mostly enjoy the game but the amount of ads is becoming ridiculous. Also, the ads are for things I would never purchase so they are pointless. I’m not a fan of the seasonal collection. Uses up too many “points” on a category that is difficult to get through due to the number of pages needed. Let us opt out of having the seasonal collection or just get rid of it completely.

Has got to be the same makers of “Word Hike”because why can’t I finish a puzzle without an ad?? Then to pay monthly for ad free like it’s a subscription?? The game isn’t free anymore at that point. Certain ads are crashing my app

An ad for “Search it-Hidden Objects” crashes the app every time. Also, today, App Store ads are acausing problems. What’s the deal? Surely I’m not the only one.

This game totally sucks now

Your 2 minute ads suck. And at the end it goes to black and you don’t get your rewards. You do contests to try and get people to be in your game all day. But then the extra long ads just kill the game. People have lives. They can’t sit and put up with this treatment all day. People want a little relaxation time in their day. Guess what. It’s not fun any more. In your greed you just screwed the pooch! I understand you need ads to be able to update the app. 30 second ads do that too. But then the long ads have killed the game for me. You put up with the 2 minute ads, and get nothing. You have to get out of the game and go back in, only to get another flipping ad! Goodbye!

Password archive??

Love this game but it would be perfect if we had access to Password archive puzzles. If it is available in the extra purchases I can’t find it. It’s the best wordle-type puzzle available as one can enter letters out of order while considering the solution. But there is only one per day. Please give access to archives.

Almost perfect

The ads have increased and that makes me have to reduce by one star. There’s an ad after every puzzle now. I liked it better when this wasn’t the case. I’ve had this game on my phone longer than any other and I truly enjoy playing it. Bring back books!

I’ve played this games daily for years and generally enjoy the game and the various puzzle styles. I’ve wanted to go add free but it costs much more than other games I’ve payed for. I also miss getting books at the end of quests. Just getting some pages for a collection that have nothing to do with the theme of the quest makes them pointless to do.

New comment: I understand the ads sustain and increase your profits, but every one needs a quick out for two reasons: one, many of the apps we may already have which makes watching them both tedious and annoying. Two, we may be totally uninterested in the product which interferes with moving ahead with your game. My wife and I compete against each other on the regular game; I am eighty and she is in her seventies. We are giving up a year of our lives to endure the ads which have clearly increased in number. Older comment: My comment of three years ago about the ads still holds true but, as one might expect, they are longer (on average), and often take three or more steps to exit and paying for no ads is not worth it. The twenty sets of regular games vary in both quality and ease. That said, some have the most bizarre, unheard-of “facts” imaginable. There is likely no one living on earth that has heard of some of them and that includes the set developer who has likely forgotten some of the most strange ones by now. The upside is that the games do, at times, make one think. I doubt that it could be clinically proven that they are good for one’s brain, but they fill idle time. I add that I coached a high school academic team for over thirty years, and Cody Cross is not going to match the intellectual “trivia” one might expect to encounter.

Excellent Brain Game

This game is absolutely spectacular in the memory and trivia department. In trivia it tests your knowledge, in memory research your mind for connections. I would recommend this game for everyone.

I’m stopping my subscription

Only one new game per lmonth. I have used all the tokens to play the side games and to purchase more is expensive. You have to use tokens to play everything but the one monthly updated game. I already pay a pretty hefty monthly fee and don’t feel it’s worth it. I’m most likely going to cancel my subscription. I don’t know why this is advertised as free - it most definitely is not! It’s very ad heavy with the paid subscription.
