I really like this app and the many games it has! It adds a lot of new stuff regularly too. However, the price increases are too frequent and too high. Most of these games can be played online for free (they look different, but they play just the same). Eventually, I'll stop paying for this if the price gets too high. I'll give it a 5 rating if the price goes down a little.

The keyboard for the crossword is kind of unpleasant to use (buggy), and the app does not allow you to use your own keyboard. Recent reorganization of the app home page has buried the crossword (it used to be at the top), which I find obnoxious because I'm really only here to play the daily crossword. Additional bug in the app that I have a persistent "you're offline!" banner at the top of my screen when I am most definitely connected to the internet.

The games are generally very good and I enjoy having new ones every day. Just two downsides. First, they keep adding clutter and moving things around. Second, it's very sensitive to having a constant network connection. so even after you load a game, if you are briefly off network, you cannot play it.

I upgraded my phone, but my subscription didn't transfer to my new phone even though I'm signed in under the same account with all the same stats, etc. I was charged yesterday, but most games are still locked. My subscription is also not listed in Google Play, so I can't even cancel the old one. I clicked the help section, but I haven't heard back yet.

Fantastic daily games, love doing these puzzles each day. Some of these can actually be really challenging, the Wordle is the benchmark I set for all other daily games. Simple, effective and fun, the other games on offer here are also fantastic, connections are especially interesting to play, although I find it quite hard sometimes being British, with some of the connections relating to American culture. If you like puzzles and don't have this app, you are missing out deeply.

I love the NYT games and play them every day! It started out as a way to measure my cognitive abilities (because I have MS and found it a good way to track a relapse and subsequent decline), but I was surprised to find them fun as well as challenging. latest update is buggy. tiny letters in the crosswords, the games don't fit on the screen, keyboard buttons are too narrow...not good Edit...canned response from developer is unhelpful, so I downgraded to one star. I literally just said the latest update is buggy, to which they suggested I update to the latest version. Nice to see they're using AI to it's full potential for customer service.

Good puzzles, horrible app. It's now starting frequently closing my crossword puzzle without warning and erasing all my progress, among other problems. Developer's precanned response to "update to the latest version" is worthless and insulting.

Overall pretty good. I don't like that some of the games switch to the following day so early. Why not just make it midnight for all of them? I enjoy the sudoku, but it switches to the following day early, especially on weekends. I constantly miss out. Annoying.

I have NYT Games subcription. Over the last couple of months, the games repeatedly show as having been played each day before I have played them. I contacted the help line the first time and was told to uninstall, re-install, log out, log back in. This reset the games for that day, but the next days the problem persisted. I have contacted the help center, and used "Report a Bug" in the app to try to solve the problem, but have heard nothing back. Paying and not able to use.

Crashed so many times in the past few days that my phone security flagged it and suggested putting it on deep sleep. May be coincidence, but seems to coincide with the new Bonus Puzzles addition. I like the crosswords. Also, Spelling Bee, Wordle, Connections, Strands, Tiles, and Letter Boxed. What I don't like is a reset to 0 if I do not do a certain puzzle daily. Eg. I did 209 Strands in a row, and because I did not do any puzzles one day, it was reset to 0. And when there is an issue at NYT, the counter was again reset to 0. I don't mind a reset if I do a puzzle like Connections and fail to solve. But not if I don't do a puzzle at all.

App repeatedly crashes at random intervals, losing progress. It's a real shame. The core crossword puzzles are good, the app is trash. It wasn't always like this. I'd much rather have a reliable app with traditional puzzles than new, less enjoyable puzzles with an app that doesn't do the core job it is supposed to do.

1. Basically no notifications. I lost a 147-day streak because I wasn't notified I skipped a puzzle I always play. 2. Part of why I missed it is that you can't hide the puzzles you don't want to play, so clutter hides what you care about. 3. The order the puzzles are displayed in also changes randomly, which is an accessibility nightmare. 4. They've never responded to these or other accessibility suggestions, bug reports, typo reports, etc. 5. Telling me to update to the latest version? Lol.

used during the free trial, but I couldn't make it through all the games due to the paywall and annoying UX to get to the free games. not everyone could be played. Sub par experience overall. I can't imagine it's any less annoying with a subscription, although their reporting is worth the price if you can afford it.
