Cookie Clicker (ad-less)

Upgraded to the paid version as a gift to myself for Pride. because ads are for squares :) this app is a blast, and the end game is great for occasional check-ins. there are tons of great jokes and silly one-liners. just one criticism: why are there no shoelaces jokes? ;D

Tons of upgrades but quickly becomes easy to put down and let it idle. Once you're at that point, clicking serves little to no purpose. Wished the cookie itself had skins, decorations, or themes. Wished clicking the cookie mattered more at higher upgrade levels. The game is essentially wait for cookies to build up, spend them on upgrades and that's it.

Wrinklers are bugged. Quite frequently when the game opens, wrinklers only give a few dozen sextillion cookies, despite having over 1 octillion cookies baked over the course of 24 hours. This happens a lot, with or without using power clicks to pop them. It's annoying, and has lost me countless hundreds of septillion cookies per wrinkler repeatedly.

Battery drain is immense and unreasonable. The rest of the game is great, it's certainly Cookie Clicker, but then I check my battery usage and see something like "Screen time: less than a minute - 32% battery used". My battery lasts significantly longer when I don't play the game, and turning down the graphical settings doesn't help. Really brings the entire thing down :(

The game is great, right up till you get to the last 10% of progress then it slows down to such an extent it stops being fun. The mobile version is hobbled without the killer combos the PC has that allow you to finish it. I'm at that point and abandoning it frustrated badly by the now impossible slog that will take literally years of tapping constantly to progress.

Cookie Clicker is a free-to-play, non pay-to-win game and is probably the best idle/clicker game there is. the game has very minimal and unintrusive ads, in both the free web and moblie versions. the paid version is identical to the free version except there is no small banner ad. the devs are very clearly not making this game for profit, or to get money out of kids, so if you would like to say thanks to the devs then I would highly recommend purchasing this game to help support them.

I wish Fool's Day had special cookies! More seasonal events, such as St. Patrick's Day or Mother's Day, would be significant. Adding pets like an Easter Bunny with buffs such as "Lucky Rabbit's Foot" to help find eggs, and a Grandma with buffs for Winklers, a Leprechaun could offer buffs for Golden Cookies, increasing their power and duration, and Santa could have a special aura for each of the 8 Reindeer.

Was hoping that purchasing this paid version of the game would inspire the dev to add a few more features from the PC version to the Android version, but unfortunately just after the last feature update for the free version hit, this one was released with the exact same features then radio silence. As much fun as the free version, nothing new to see or do, just doesn't have a banner ad at the bottom. If that one difference seems worth the price to you, then here ya go. *shrug*

You really hit a wall after prestige reaches the trillions. Not a lot left to unlock and it's hard to really make any meaningful progress anymore...

Fun but compared to the web/steam version it is much worse No sugarlumps and that includes all the extras like the stock market, harvesting spells etc. No veil But you do get power clicks which are kinda cool. Also clicking is so much more powerful since you can use multiple fingers However the general progression is just much slower At around a month / 1Qa ascension, the game becomes a slog and it takes weeks to months of progression to unlock the next upgrade unless you play hyperactively.

still the best clicker game out there. that said, 4 stars because there are currently some un-earnable achievements, due to this being less finished than the browser version. some aren't earnable because the requirements aren't in the game at all or they haven't been programmed in, and some just take a ridiculoulsly long time to earn (like decades) because certain features that would speed the process up aren't in the game yet.

Best and most addictive game ever! I play this all the time and have been playing for 52 days! I love how Orteil dresses up in different costumes for the different seasons! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because there aren't any Sugar Lumps, which means no upgrades, which also means it's difficult to get combos... However, if one of the upcoming updates were to add Sugar Lumps, you can gain that star right back! It is only V8, so I hope it's added soon!

around five hundred billion the game slows down massively and never speeds up again. there's a whole set of mechanics in the web based game to offset this which are not included in this. it doesn't have wizard towers, doesn't have farms, doesn't have the stock market, doesn't have sugar lumps.

Buggy. The big cookie glitches out at the worst possible moments and won't let you click it very fast. Infuriating when you get a GC combo that you have waited hours for. Restarting doesn't fix it. I've reached out through multiple bug reports and got nothing back.

At one point, the news ticker at the top of the screen literally said, word for word, "it's time to turn the game off now". No cute flavor text, no funny absurdist meta humor, just straight up told me to quit playing. It was honestly kinda creepy. It unnerved me so much that 6 hours later I had to stop. Even as I frantically looked for my phone charger, it stuck with me. I'll have to see if my copy for PS5 does that. Steam too. A review? The game's alright, I guess. A little repetitive.

Excellent since the last big round of updates. The mobile version has finally come into its own. That said, it feels imbalanced. You can quickly blast all the way to the endgame, but then, at around 95% of achievements earned, the game grinds to an almost total halt. Players shouldn't be able to trivialize the first 95% of the game, and the last 5% should offer some viable strategies towards completion.
