the game was going so well, the puzzles and tasks are a fun challenge, and it's a good storyline but there's a glitch. 2x i had to restart the entire game after a completed taks didn't save before sitting. 1st was after collecting squid ink and giving it to tailor to repair the flag, I stopped for the night. the next day I restarted the game the tailor requested ink still. but i could recollect ink It was completed. so I can't move on. I had to restart entire game.

I love the challenge!
- Southern Momma · v1.0.16
Ive played most of Fire Maple games and enjoyed them all. This is one of the best puzzle games I've ever played. Although its quite a short one. I wouldn't mind living there !! It's one that I will enjoy playing again and again. Realistic scenes, great characters and plenty of puzzles. It's a keeper 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ .
- Angela Clewes · v1.0.19
Not quite the feeling of the older games. The heavy use of AI feels jarring, and makes it harder to spot what's part of the puzzles and what isn't.
- Julian Neupert · v1.0.19
This game had me running around in circles and I loved every minute of it. After playing Trickery Creek and Curse of the Cobra I had to this final gem. All games are wonderfully done, graphics are awesome, the puzzles are fun, not to difficult not to easy, the humour here and there. I tip my hat if was wearing one. Looking forward to more games. (yes, I did play the the Secret of Grisly Manor, Lost City and Hidden World as well) I have one more game to go. Keep them coming!
- Anne Marie · v1.0.19
Technically very good. A great effort was put into the story, it is a good B title! RECOMMENDED ⭐
- Miroslav Vrlik · v1.0.19
Good game! Would have liked to get more clues! Not have to wait for 8-10min each time But overall good game
- Olga Bjork · v1.0.19
You could feel the love in the earlier games, all the way up until they started using AI to generate their entire game. There was time and care in the games' creations, and now water is being wasted, and environments are being destroyed, just to cut corners.
- Katie Steger
Another great Fire Maple game - lots of super puzzles and people to talk to and do things for - I still wish you could jump straight to a location on the map, but maybe that would make it too easy - certainly tests the memory though!
- Mrs Mop · v1.0.17
Another fantastic Firemaple game. Worth the money. Immersive and beautiful.
- Tahlia Kaye · v1.0.17
Was so excited to play a new game from this company! Have loved all their other stuff, very fun and nostalgic to replay those games. Unfortunately, they've used ai art in this which makes me very sad. As an artist myself, it hurts to see companies switching over to ai as if they never valued and appreciated the people behind art. When companies care solely of monetary value. That's not what art is. That's not what these games are. You're better than this. Hire real artists, Fire Maple Games!

Enjoyed this game very much despite it being a runaround.
- Patrick P Smyth · v1.0.17
Another excellent game from FireMaple! I enjoyed it very much and really need to replay it and see how much I can remember! Not many items to find, but it is quite involved; I didn't make notes as I played. but if I had, it would have been much easier. I love the Firemaple games as they force you to use your memory -- which helps my short and long term memory.

Great game
- jackie mcevoy · v1.0.17
Honestly the worst game Fire Maple released. The story is alright, but definitely not my favorite. And the gameplay is way too complicated for the genre. There is no clear direction as to where to go next and with the hint taking 9 minutes to load in GAME TIME not in real time, a game that I should have been able to complete in an hour has taken me 3 days.
- Just A Girl
Great game, FMG is known for their colorful and interactive games. Good quality graphics. Gameplay pretty short, and few puzzles, but overall good.
- Rhonda Brown · v1.0.17
This game was so fun, love the scenery and the puzzles. Stoked these guys are still making games !! 2025 Edit: played it again along with all the other fire maple games, still the best out there 🙂↔️
- Moth .E · v1.0.17
Having over 100 scenes and no jump map is ridiculous. Have fun just wondering aimlessly for hours on end. Skip this game and play "tormentum" or "fran bow". Much more bang for your buck.
- robin may · v1.0.17
I just love Fire Maple games and Crookhaven was right up there with their best! Fully enjoyed it but I sure wish it was longer!
- Benetta · v1.0.17
Better than previous games!!
- Kaekae KwatKwat · v1.0.17
i regret buying this game. there are no good puzzles, you are just meandering around aimlessly through endless locations, and this is made more annoying because of the clunky interface where you end up going backwards and forward. you can't skip through the dialogs quickly and they take a long time. the worst part is that you have to wait for hints to recharge, even though you paid for the game, which slows it down even more. I've barely started the game and I'm bored with it already.
- I R · v1.0.17
Very good return to form for these games.
- Dan Cannella · v1.0.17
It was ok. Not as good as the previous Fire Maple games which I loved. If you haven't played those skip this one and go play those. This one felt light on puzzles and just felt like I was running errands the whole time and trying to remember where a certain door or item was located. I also had issues getting the mailbox puzzle to work and had to YouTube it. It still made no sense even after I got it open. Hoping the next Fire Maple game is more like the previous ones.
- Julie Kenison · v1.0.17
Love anything from Fire Maple Games! The stories are always interesting and have engaging puzzles to solve. Crookhaven is no different and will have you locked in until you solve it.
- Iesha Ways-Jones · v1.0.17
Great game!
- Dr Amani · v1.0.17
Best of the latest entries! I was not impressed by Curse of the Cobra or Thickety Creek, but this feels much more polished and a great return to form. I liked the ending as well. There were a few puzzles I didn't click on because I couldn't see them clearly from the primary location, but I only needed a hint about five times. Also I don't mind the AI art—it's much better than the art from Cobra and Creek. Crookhaven is definitely my favorite since The Lost City!
- Ashley Victoria · v1.0.17
The good, fun puzzles, beautiful scenes, great story. Decent play time could of been longer for the price. I have played other games that were twice as long. The bad, sometimes you don't know what to do next, especially if you quit and come back later to play, no bots or objectives. The traveling all over Back n forth was irritating, no quick jump. No labels on map places by the time I finished the game I started to figure out where all the places were. Won't be purchasing anymore games now.
- Vicki Contreras · v1.0.16
I have played every fire maple game since I was 5. This is the worst one. Every line of dialogue and every single visual including characters, buildings, and objects, were all done by AI. Im fairly sure many of the reviews were done by AI as well.
- Noah Miller · v1.0.16
It's one of the great plots of Fire Mapple. My favourite firemapple game is legendary " Lost City. "
- Zaw Ye Paing
This was pretty good. Lovely artwork and characters. It does transport you to another time and place which is what you want in a game of this type. I liked the music and sound effects. Negatives: A bit of backtracking, could have been useful if the map was more interactive. However this minor detail did not greatly affect enjoyment. Worth the money.
- Alison Flower · v1.0.16
Not up to Fire Maple standard. Feels like they prioritized looks over content. The map is huuuge with many filler locations. There are hardly any riddles, it's just picking up stuff mentioned by people and schlepping it over, and when there is a (simple) riddle the key would often be in the same room, unlike usually when you have to work for it. Cluttered locations with too many things popping. The dialog was weird and the "continue" button annoying. Next time I'll read reviews before buying.
- Michal Front · v1.0.16
Just finished this game this morning. I have played all your other games and loved them all, your games are well done. I recommend anyone to play your games!! Can't wait for the next game!!
- Brian Barriault · v1.0.16
The uncanny AI "art" is so disappointing from this studio that has specialized in atmospheric puzzle games. And these puzzles were half-hearted at best. A real shame.
- Laura Neale
Fire Maple games are soooo good! Wish they made new games more often. But there is too much AI in this one.
- Katherine Warner · v1.0.16
Love these types of games can't wait for the next one
- Benjamin Membreno · v1.0.16
artificially infleated the game with lengthy back and forward tasks on a huge map...long ..boring..and not really challenging
- Amnon Siev · v1.0.16
Loved this new game from fire maple! Right up my street. My only niggle was that stupid puzzle on the post box, made zero sense and it drove me nuts. Eventually had to resort to YouTube for a walkthrough. The clue was useless and that needs looked at. But other than that the game was awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Decent price aswell not ludicrous amounts like some greedy devs. Fire maple games are worth every penny. Need more of them! Thanks guys!
- Kerry Swanson · v1.0.16
Another great game from Fire Maple. It's a point and click adventure with almost no cutscenes. Dialog is text on screen, never spoken. Navigation among the scenes was a bit difficult as the game proceeds because the area is a town and extensions that are not laid out squarely. A map aid that builds as you proceed shows the scenes' connections, but the grid layout on the map doesn't "map" to the town's exterior very well. Otherwise, there were no problems, and it was fun and relaxing to play.
- CatReader · v1.0.16
Another FANTASTIC game from FMG. I've been a huge fan of FMG for years and this new installment was worth the wait!! Thank you for making such fun games that I can play over and over!
- Amanda Burger · v1.0.16
Loved it so much fun
- Jennie VanZant · v1.0.16
Heartbroken that a game series that I've always loved has gone full AI sludge. I've been eagerly buying these sight-unseen for years, and I always save them for when I need a treat, and opening this one to find it full of gross misshapen nonsense in place of the usual beautiful art was a real slap to the face. I guess this is where my fondness for the series ends. Anyone new to the series, at least you can still go back and play the real ones.
- Raven Works · v1.0.16
It's alright. Basically, it's all made with AI, but it's still descent. Please make a return to Grisly Manor 3. That grandpa was going to space ...
- Jack Harper · v1.0.16
went all-out with this one; love them all; this one is longer and harder than any of them so far
- Phillip Reid · v1.0.16
I've played every one of fire maple's games and this is the best. The moving time aspect, characters, vehicles, all new features that are great. Also it's huge! I'm not sure exactly how many rooms others had but this feels bigger than most
- Adam Breedlove · v1.0.16
The AI art really makes this game feel way worse to play than previous iterations. Not only does it distract when just clicking through levels, but because of the cluttered look it can be difficult to find some of the pieces needed for the puzzles.
- Leo Peckham (padrillium) · v1.0.16
ai generated assets really detract. the scenes are so busy, i really miss the older style
- tazer army · v1.0.16
The game plays well enough, but there is so much AI art used that it generally looks muddy and rubbish. Shame you chose not to pay actual artists.
- david smith · v1.0.16
Too short for the price, Game Art seems heavly made with AI.
- Yannick Fuchs · v1.0.16
