Stuck in story mode due to AI foolishness.

Impossible to get past “die another time” in story mode where you play the ghost. The AI always picks the cook at the end. Game should let you progress.

So-so for solo players

This is a super fun game, and the AI is impressive. However, it is incredibly frustrating to lose through no fault of your own because the AI players guessed incorrectly (playing as psychic, not ghost). So, I guess correctly and move forward, but we still lose before getting to the final round.

Great game. Makes me really want the board game version. My only complaint is that, due to the lobby not being very busy, I end up having to play a solo game against AI players. I don't mind that so much but the algorithm makes no sense to me. I play as the ghost mostly and even when I have really good vision cards, the AI psychics make seemingly random choices and every game ends in defeat. The AI seemed to work much better in story mode but not general play. Could be better.

Pretty, when it works.

Super buggy - got this to play online with friends. Kept kicking one of us out randomly. Also in one game, two of us were somehow both controlling the same character, with no one controlling another, so we had to wait the full two minutes in every round for the game to select a random choice for that character. These bugs basically made the game unplayable. We kept trying anyway because the game is fun and looks great. If only it worked consistently.

Nice and addictive game

I enjoyed playing this game unless I don’t have the board game edition. The game play is really nice and easy to learn. The art is perfect. Just one thing, it has errors with ipad pro 2021 and I can’t join the game. It also doesn’t fit the screen which is really annoying.

I keep logging in over and over and over again and it says I’m still not logged in. I’m doing my email right and my password. It doesn’t say it worked or didn’t just keeps saying I’m not logged in. Wonderful game, horrifically buggy app. Unlike other games, the app simply kicks you out if you have connection issues, rather than pausing the game and allowing time for you to reconnect. Inaccessible with no size controls

I really wanted to play this game. But the font used is tiny and the type area is restricted to a small area with graphics around it. It doesn’t use dynamic type so the user must deal with what is on offer. And, being a mystery game, you have to read long explanations. $4 down the drain. Oh well.

As others have said, please don't waste time or money on this game. While the game is really good, the application is awful. We've only managed to complete a game once in 9 tries. The app crashes or logs a player out and once that happens, you cannot get back in the game. You're immediately replaced by an AI.

This as a really fun game that both my husband and I enjoy. We have made friends with people throughout the USA and the world by playing this game. The only reason that I do not give 5 stars is because the game freezes up a lot and/or often kicks players out of games.

Impossible to play with friends

After 45 minutes of logging in, logging out, restarting the app, starting games and quitting games, my friends and I gave up. The interface to start this game is so terrible that we couldn’t play. At one point, our friend joked that we should play a drinking game instead. Every time one of us said “login” take a drink. We would have been hammered within 10 minutes. I can’t rate the gameplay bc we could not successfully start a game with all 6 of us. UI should get zero stars.

Great game, major bug

I love this game, but I keep getting an “Endwrite AI failure: connection timed out” error, followed by replacing my player with an AI. Can you please address this bug and also make it so players are not automatically replaced with AI? This bug would be a lot less irritating if you could simply rejoin the game, but as it is, the entire session is binned. Thank you! Really looking forward to having this fixed.

Easier than the board game

I love the board game but the only caveat is that you need a large table to set it all up and it takes a little bit of time to set up. I still love the board game but the online version is awesome and there’s no clean up needed. It’s also very easy to play once you play with through the story mode

Yes you can hold on a card to pull up a magnifying glass to zoom in on a portion of the card, but it would make so much more sense to have an option to see the card full screen, perhaps through a double tap action. And then allow pinch to zoom once in full screen. Thank you

After the story mode I tried to play online, which was not possible without creating an account (which should have been an option, not an only choice!). Only my first game...I played with the max AI, so maybe that changes the game mechanics. I was under the impression I had more than 30 seconds to pick based on the story mode. But the AI’s were all getting their cards and I was last even though I was top of the list and I think the two minutes started when the first AI got their card which is not what the rules say. It could be I do not know how the game goes, but I have been sitting here for five minutes and the ghost still has not done anything and I cannot do anything so...I think this game needs improvement. Maybe the ghost found rest or had second thoughts and doesnt want the culprit found. UPDATE: Played a few more times on Pass and Play. Definite bugs. On the iPhone I could not deselect AIs. That problem went away. I played also on the iPad which had a similar problem: I cannot change the ghost back to AI. The selection changes before I start the game, but it still thinks a player is the ghost. Also, toggle is inconsistent; sometimes I need to cancel and go back to lobby to correct the pass and play conditions. This game is not super fun, because it is frustrating, so even without bugs, I would only give it a 4/5 max.

The online portion of the game is broken and has been for some time. It has been reported in-game by a lot of players who are trying to play, but it still hasn’t been resolved. Once you get through story mode, the app basically becomes useless.

If you've ever played the board game, this is a no brainier! A very accurate rendering of the actual game. It allows you to play in several different modes, either by yourself, with others, or online; and as a psychic or the ghost. Where are the people?

Let me start off by saying that I love this game. I own the tabletop version and then later the app. Great game lots of fun. The only negative I can complain about is there are never enough players at one given time. You have to sit in the lobby and wait forever to get a good game to start. I have never seen more than 13 people in the lobby. This game needs to be promoted/advertised appropriately. It’s a wonderful game just needs more people.

Story mode stinks

This is only for story mode, haven’t played much online. The story mode is just a random guessing game. Some visions are used for different people or places or things. So one round you get it right but then in the next game you choose the same thing and it’s wrong. Could be a fun game in person but doesn’t work with AI and online doesn’t seem any more fun.

This is a very pretty but stupid game. You get shown some abstract imagery and then have to decide which item/room/person it corresponds to. Almost perfect

The game is a really entertaining adventure each time you play. The biggest drawback, and what keeps me from giving five stars, is that whenever you play online with other players, the system reports an error and boots you out of the game when any game concludes, forcing you to log in again with user name and password, which is annoying. Still, a very fun game and one I'd recommend.

Great game, but has issues

I have to log in again after every game, and recently was active in a game and was kicked out with message I was replaced by AI for being inactive (WHAT?...I was very active). Speaking of the AI it is terrible. All else about the game is GREAT, and without the above issues I would have given it 5 stars.

Wonderful game all around

I enjoy this game. It is simple and easy to grasp but does present a challenge to play. Especially when you have to play as the ghost and your trying to help the psychics figure things out. I’m sure that there maybe a bug or two, but personally I have either never encountered a bug or chalked it up to bad luck. Personally though, I would love the inclusion of a card gallery to have a look at the vision cards, location cards, suspects and even the psychic investigators with an option to see their backstory. Lords of water deep did a card gallery feature to let you look at all of the cards in the game. I would personally love a gallery just to look at the beautiful artwork that is present in the cards. All in all, a good game with replay ability

Great game; Technical Issues

There are some technical issues that need to be fixed - mainly it prompts for log-in information after every game. Otherwise, a great interactive visual game to play on the iPad!
