It's fun for a while, then the ads are too much. Also, the quotes you're guessing come from anywhere and there are no clues. I played several rounds where the only letters provided to start you off were the only ones in that quote. You have to watch ads to get clues. Too much ad-time. I uninstalled it.

Not exactly offline. Needed internet connection to download new levels very often, and would be bombarded by ads even before I could start downloading said levels. The more you play, the more lagged it became. There's option to remove ads for a price and the devs made it very clear that it's either you pay or you can't play. So not exactly free either.

Update review: The one good way to play is to put it in airplane mode. This allows for uninterrupted gameplay. Unfortunately, the ads that run in the game take so long that by the time they finish, the game times out and restarts. Fix Those Ads !!! OMG! Every single time an ad runs, for any reason, the game quits and tries to reboot. I'm so frustrated. I love this game and would play every day, but when I have to wait for the reboot I just end up shutting off the game and go read a book.

I really like the concept and the core gameplay is fun. I'm a big fan of puzzle games, however I've knocked off 2 stars for the optimization and ad frequency. For a game that's just filling in letters, after a while it causes my phone to heat up and lag, which similar apps do not do. I'm all for supporting games financially and, luckily, you can play the game offline, but getting ads before, after and *during* a level feels insulting. This game is good. But there are 2 reasons why I cannot give you 5. 1. I paid money and I expected I will be totally ad free. But that was not. I still get a lot of ads on other places(eg revive) and thats really annoying. If I paid, that usually means I should be totally ad free. 2. That Tom Sawyer is horribly designed. I love cryptograms. However, the ads are not properly placed in the game. They should be placed in between levels rather than in the middle of game play. It's very frustrating to figure out a letter, and as soon as you choose it for the first time, there's an ad break. There's a good chance to forget where you were in the puzzle whenever you return to the game.

Although it looked promising, and I actually liked the first levels, I noticed that a game without graphics and animations drains the battery and overheats the phone more than gps in a hot day. The amount of ads is enormous, I tried to play the game offline (until no more levels, and need to connect again to download levels and ads) but things get worse. Around lvl 50-something the graphics started to break apart. Miss positioned letters, unreachable boxes and some of them half of screen.

I used to have this game and it was so bad I gave it 2 stars. I didn't realize it was the same one is was installing over a year later but I LOVE it. One of the few games I actually paid to not have to have forced ads. the amount of ads i to excessive , yes i know i can get add free but i just wanted to try first in a normal why and the multiple adds within 1 level is crazy wich is why i give the game 2 stars

I have had this game downloaded for years. It was relaxing, with no ads (at that time).I admit, it fell to the wayside for games that didn't repeat so much. the other day I found it again and so played it. I extremely dislike it now, the relaxing charm of the game is now filled with stress of guessing a random letter correctly or watching a video or paying money. All of the joy I found in this game is gone. I will be deleting it as soon as this is posted.
