it's very cool. I've been addicted since downloading i like how you get to chose what goes into your claw machine after the battle. the options are different every time. you can modify items and the little side games as well as unlocking all kinds of characters. With each character you beat game it unlocks new things. all an all a solid game for me an I never write reviews.

Also game lags every now and then and it screws up the claw when retrieving items. Lastly, the claw is worse than actual claw type games in rl with its oiled up, lightly grasping claws . That said, going premium without in app purchases is extremely honorable.

Hi dev! What I meant was, could you lock the Ascension levels for other characters so I can gradually go up the ladder with each character and track what I’ve cleared and haven’t cleared? After I clear Ascension 20, it feels like there’s only one level, Ascension 20, so I feel like there’s no reason to play below level 20. Please give us more history, and stats, the highscores arent enough. Also, maybe something when you die, that would go back and replay your last turn or two? on multiple occasions while I've been learning the game, I have been confused about why I died, and something to go back and see what killed me would have been very helpful. Going back to 5 stars. it's a really fun game but you have to find the right combination of items for each characters. Start with the magnet hand guy first going with all metal and strength items to get a feel for how the games works but not always keep losing. It can get frustrating as it is some skill and some luck but they overall created a fun little game you can play a little then put down. Well worth the money if you give it a try!

Recent Update is a Head-Scratcher

The game was good enough to justify the price and I’ve enjoyed playing it for quite some time. It was recently updated, and almost all of those updates make the game objectively less fun. There were already many mechanics that favored making things more frustrating in place of anything skill or strategy related. Now they’ve taken A LOT of the mechanics in the game and changed how they work ENTIRELY and every single one of those changes gravitated to the “frustration over skill” angle. Why change core game mechanics that have been in the game and enjoyable parts of it for years now? The changes made to the claws in the reward rooms are just nonsensical. I spent a year playing this, getting familiar with mechanics and getting better at them. Now you just randomly get rod of half of those mechanics and add new ones in that stupidly impossible and based off of dumb luck instead of the bit of skill the old ones required. I can’t honestly recommend this game if the developers genuinely think this is how you ought to update a game. Add content instead of fixing things that were never broken, while simultaneously breaking your customers/players trust.

Good but could be better

It’s an interesting concept, and there’s a lot there already to make it fun. However, as the game is right now, I don’t think it goes far enough with the claw mechanics. I was kind of expecting there to be ways to upgrade your claw throughout a run, which there aren’t. I think adding that mechanic, and giving characters unique claws as well would add a lot of dimensionality and interest to the game. As it stands, most of the characters play more of less the same. Like, there are differences in strategy and how you build your deck, but the overall playstyle is pretty much the same every time.

I want to love it

The title says it all. My first complaint is the game takes far too long to show variance in runs making it feel stale fast. Second, the game is far too RNG dependent, the mechanic to increase chances of receiving certain synergistic items doesn’t seem to be effective, you have practically no good choices even with heavy RNG manipulation and dozens of re rolls. Back to Peglin I guess 🤷‍♀️

Phenomenal

I have a number of other paid games (Balatro, Luck Be a Landlord) that are top tier but something about this game makes it stand out. At least I’ve been consistently playing this more than the others. It’s of course fun, and there’s good replay value with the roguelike elements. Plus the variety of characters to play as offer unique and interesting gameplay & strategy twists. The claw mechanic can get a bit tedious after so many fights/runs, and while the magnetic and tentacle claws make up for this, sometimes the speed/angle of grabbed items makes them not fall into the “bin/slot”. This is frustrating at times where the one item you wanted to play falls back into the main area or sits on the divider (for smaller items like daggers and rings, good luck getting them off without a special claw or other large items…)

I’m a big fan of Peglin and I definitely feel like I see inspiration from it. The art is great, the music is fun, the gameplay is fluid. The option to speed up the game is always much appreciated. I have cleared the game with 3 of the many characters and had a blast the entire time. This game also saves progress which is very nice. Great job devs. $5 is honestly pretty generous for the amount of replay time you can get but it’s much appreciated. I really hope to see either updates to the content or a sequel soon!

Disappearing

I continued to play this game even with my issues below. I finished a run and probably started a few other ones. It's been idk how many days that I have not even thought about this game at all. On one of my runs I watch the claw go down and grab a bunch of items and right when it started to come up one of the items I was going for immediately disappeared. When it's the games mechanic I can't get past it. I will never play this game again and wasted the money I spent on it. I hate free to play but this game makes me want to just play free to play so I am not wasting money like this. I am very disappointed. I like this game. It's pretty entertaining. I just bought it today and I am on my first run. I am on floor 16 and just started to notice stuff disappearing. So 2 turns I watched the magnet drop in the machine and immediately disappear. Third turn it drops lands on the other stuff and when I went to grab it, it disappeared. Next stage same floor I watched stuff fall and immediately disappear. The reason such a low rating is grabbing stuff is the whole point of the game. Can't grab stuff if it doesn't drop or show up like it should. Please fix.

Needs work but great for passing time.

I own this on PC and mobile. The game is really fun and has a great concept. My main issue is sometimes when you drop the claw it just won’t close and then retract, causing you to lose the game. For example I was on the second to last boss and for 3 drops in a row it refused to close, essentially skip those turns and losing me the game.

Well worth the 5$ Paid

One of my favorites. Easily worth the money. I love the claw machine physics, as someone who grew up playing the claw machine on AJ Classic, this game makes me very very happy. The opening scene is gorgeously animated, and makes me wonder if there are other cutscenes later on? Even if there aren’t this still deserves a solid 5!

Stands on Its Own

So refreshing to find a game that is designed to be played rather than paid! Buy the game and play it; no annoying in-game purchases. Simple yet addictive. A dungeon run takes about an hour but the game is so replayable. Lots of different play styles with the unlockable characters, and a great balance of luck and skill.

Great twist on deckbuilders

Unique game with a fun twist on deckbuilding. Wish there was some roguelike/rpg element though for something to work for. Still, a lot of fun and definitely worth the cheap price. Bonus no annoying IAPs! Pick it up today!
