-FF2 is my fav of the first 4 games! It lets you make each character whatever you want them to be. They aren't stuck to a specific class (dark mage, white healer, warrior, ranged, etc.). You can make each character awesome at magic, weapons, and ranged weapons all at the same time! -Played on a Galaxy S21. The game never crashed once. I recommend in mid game to up the Weapon & Magic XP in "Boost" setting to 2x. Late game to 4x.

I love Final Fantasy games, all of them. The only issue I'm finding with this one is that you took the matching mini-game out for whatever reason. That just kind of bummed me out quite a bit.

Absolutely loved this game. Played it for the first time. While it was a bit tricky to understand the level up system as compared to other games in the franchise, I was able to manage with some quick Google search, and the game delivered in the end! The soundtrack is magnificent!

The old version was a bit janky with how the touch screen interface was rigged to work with it, so a lot of this is a step up. What makes me sad is the fact that y'all didn't put in the Arcane Labyrinth from the anniversary edition. That was a fun place where we clould do level grinding, and have a few interesting puzzles/mysteries and the ultima weapons. I'm still going to continue to play this one to see if there are any hidden Easter eggs like that. Also, I love most of the new music!

What on earth is up with the thin and tiny font? It makes it so difficult to read I end up hurting my eyes staring at it. And there is a TON of room for larger letters. Why?? I can't finish playing it because it's hurting me.

Great port of a unique RPG that many probably skipped, myself included. Thanks to this release I finally finished the game! I only gave it 4 stars due to the occasional bug - the game crashed or went to a black screen every now and then, so save often. It happened after boss battles and leaving the dungeons. It also happened after the final boss fight 4x which was an inconvenience.

I just want an up, a down, a left, a right, and an A and a B button. How did they mess that up? Also, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn the music to the correct original music. At least let me hide all this ugly immersion breaking junk all over screen. I can tell I am walking up because the character is walking up. Those blue menu buttons there all the time are just frustrating in my view constantly. They were strange with their decisions of what bugs to remove and leave in.

Great remaster for the original Final Fantasy II. While it doesn't have the bonus content from the GBA era and beyond, it does well in perfecting the original JRPG experience and adapting it to a mobile device.

These Pixel Remasters are crushing it. First time playing FF2, and gotta say all the negative outlook on this game couldn't be more wrong. I know everyone has their own experience, but this ended up being an excellent experience. I loved how I could customize my team and make them all useful magic users as well as good at physical combat. Great game!!!!

Tldr: Go play another RPG unless you really enjoy the old ff games. It has a old-school ff feel to it. I played this ffll originally years ago on an emulator and when I saw this I thought lets try it. It runs fine on my phone. I have 15ish hours into the story. It doesnt do a good job of directing you where to go. If it weren't for google id have quit playing sooner. I dont need an arrow on the ground but more then it gives. Sounds like an ff. The leveling system is odd.

Utilities index issues guys this game crashed 20 times today... then the lvl up system don't use the lvl down function... and on onscreen controller would work the tap feature is uuummm wired...

Something aint right it feels to easy exp gain is way higher then i ever remember the game was far to easy before why dumb it down so much more. Honestly they turned this from a fun game that would take over 10h to beat to something you can finish in under 4 if you have half a idea where to go.

Why are the controls so bad!? The menus are clunky and slow, the buttons are either double, or half the size they should have been. The "virtual stick," works, ok. But you can't use it to avoid the crummy menues. Touch move is comicly bad. It seems to exclusively follow NPC paths, so your character will go out of there way to run into any and every NPC they can. AND OF COURSE, no controller support to work around any of these issues, other versions do have it.

The game feels good overall. Controls feel smooth, and the "tap mode" works surprisingly well. Graphics look nice and give that nostalgic feel without going overboard. The mobile version is missing some features from the console and PC versions (changing encounter rates, portrait of characters when talking to them, and fast walking outside of tap mode). FF2 has always been a weird game to play, but this version, I'm my opinion, is the best way to play it.

After playing Square's excellent Dragon Quest ports, I thought, that was fun, how about finally beating Final Fantasy 2? Oh my goodness. This is an awful experience in comparison to mobile ports of the same genre, from the same generation, from the same company. -UI is ugly, hard to read, and hard to navigate. -Loading times... Why are there loading times for a NES game? -Online verification... What? If I wanted to pirate this 35 year old game, I wouldn't buy it. Shockingly low effort port.

Terrible. I should ask for a refund. I do mission to remote areas with little or no internet. I bought this game expecting a Gameboy or portable option for spare time at night. I was dazzled that it asked for internet connection whereas this game could perfectly work as it was born, as a NES game. You are a fraud, opportunistic scammers which obviously don't ever leave your cities and think there is no world beyond your roomwalls

I've never played FF2 prior to the Pixel Remasters, so I'm not exactly how it compares to other versions. The game was a lot better than I expected it to be, given it's negative reputation. Still pretty mediocre compared to other FF games, but certainly worth playing at least once. The $12 price tag is a bit steep, but it's still cheaper than most of the other Pixel Remasters.

TLDR: DO NOT BUY THIS GAME Fantastic gameplay experience, but I cannot recommend this at all. Runs smooth as butter, feels good to play, BUT (and this is a huge but) it requires you to be online to play. This is an ancient game that requires constant internet connection... There is literally no justification for that and I never would have purchased this if I had known. I cannot believe this is still an acceptable practice.

Took a while but i finnally beat the game I love how you level up abilities by using them and your are not locked in to a single class/archetype My main team was basicly a paladin with a bow, a duel weilder, and an unarmed fighter/monk. Everyone was insainly strong with physical attacks and magic. Everyone knew Cure 9 and higher. My favorite in the series so far 8/10 Wish there were more games like it
